- This is the Pedal Messenger, an affordable, stylish urban bike, ideal for getting around town.
Messenger is a single speed or fixie style bike, which is typified by the classic look steel frame and having just the single gear. These bikes are really popular for getting around town as they have a simple, stylish look, but they’re also very low maintenance and built to last being knocked around.
The rest of the components match the Messengers urban durability. An A-head stem improves front end strength and stiffness for durability and more confident handling. Solid resin BMX style pedals won't crack the first time you drop the bike, and dual pivot brakes give smooth, reliable stopping power. The wheels feature nutted axles front and rear for extra security if you leave your bike locked up in the city.
The Messenger handlebars feature a gentle rise, this puts you in more upright position giving you better visibility and control when weaving through obstacles.
Messenger is also available as a 7 speed, and now an all new 3 speed internally geared version. This means you can have the Messenger look with different gearing option to suit your needs. All Messengers are low maintenance and easy to take care of, so you can spend more time doing what you like and not tinkering on your bike.

Works the way it is supposed to. Just Good
It's over priced new but it's ok as a flat ground sort of urban explorer. The build quality worries me (especially when you get a lot of speed on you'll here rattles that didn't exist before) but over all it's an "OK" bike. Don't go expecting too much of it though outside of the weekend ride along the river. Oh and get new tyres, the original ones are rubbish and will blow within a week.
What would you suggest, as a better alternative (s)
