Brandon, I’m not about to keep spending my money on these phones if they not gonna come out with a different color, I would love to see a red one in the promax and I would love to see a different design
It was irritating. I also had some deleted text messages return.The texts finally disappeared early this morning. I intentionally didn't try to delete anything again in case they were recursively brought back. I'm still on the 6th-gen iPad Mini. In both the photos and texts mentioned, I'd long before fully deleted them from devices and iCloud.

That's Wi-Fi assist and you can turn it off in the settings
I just downloaded the Microsoft messaging app and it has built in copilot pretty cool
@@cebixd7 WiFi Assist is supposed to work when the WiFi connection is poor. But in my case it happens even when the WiFi signal is strong. (I did turn this off, and I'll see what happens; thanks).

Lately, I've been having issues with transferring my music from my Mac to my iPhone. Whenever I transfer a song to my iPhone, it changes some of my album art covers and sometimes doesn't download at all. Is there any reason why this is happening?"

Once I got on 17.5.1 my 15 pro experiences overheating constantly.
During FaceTime, regular calls, charging wirelessly and wired and more.
It’s annoying, it gets extremely hot.
Thought I was tripping have the same issues

Sadly brother I have not, I have just dealt with it.
I factory reset my iPhone and logged back in restoring it, I tried hard resetting it, made sure all my apps are up to date, etc. and nothing.

My battery life has been TRASH on 17.5.1 as has been my dad’s. We’re both getting less than half a day out of our IPhone 14 Pros

i am definitely experiencing a battery reporting bug since this update. all my devices display incorrect battery levels in my battery widget 90% of the time.
Since updating my battery have been dropping for a long time it stayed to 84. It has been 4 days since update it has gone down to 81 now
Anyone else notice a difference in auto brightness? My screen always seems to be dark, auto brightness is turned on. I turn it off then back on fixes it then goes back to dark. Battery life ugh. Noticed siri not reading text messages in CarPlay.

Since I updated to ios 17.5.1 on my iphone 13 my battery health dropped from 94% to 92 in less than 3 days my battery life sucks it keeps dropping after every 3mins its sucks when when will a new update be out
Any idea if we might see a iOS 17.6 or 17.7 released before iOS 18 comes out? Several other UA-cam channels are already saying that iOS 17.5+ releases will start to trickle down. That anything we see before iOS comes out is most likely to be just bug fixes and security releases.
There’s a bug in the calendar app when you say yes to accept calendar appointments it works and then it sends you a notification and it didn’t work so yeah
1:27 the Photos app need help finding duplicate and similar. The entire Mac OS and iOS needs to find dups data, then present it to users

@@FifthHuman yeah but it is very weak. Also Photos have some issues detecting faces. I have photos where Photos app does not see that there is a face in the photo. I also have many identical photos that the Photos app does not recognize as duplicates or similar. I need more from this new AiOS
That Arc AI call has it's own quick launch lock screen widget. Pretty handy.
Yep. Loving it but still not near as useful as Safari for a main browser
14 pro max has been super slow, from animations/ performance to texting. The phone runs like crap and feels like you’re using a 5 year old phone… very bad performance for sure.
That’s a BIG NO for me also on foldable MacBooks.

Battery life has been noticeably worse since 17.5
It does seem worse on my 12. I was getting at least halfway through the day but I hit 1 pm and it was already 40%.
Been great on my 15 Pro Max.
iOS 17.5 and 17.5.1 greatly increased my battery life.
Significantly worse on my 15 Pro Max.
It has worse the battery life of my 13 mini it’s already 81 it was 84 before
Siri should be able to read my books like a audio book
I think the only reason that it doesn't is that publishers want to make more money selling you those books again as audiobooks and that Apple is afraid of lawsuits.
I'm sure that it can as an accessibility

When will Apple get rid of the bug that drops the cursor anywhere other than the place I press in the midst of a typed paragraph? I don’t care about holding the keyboard button or holding the screen to drop the cursor where I want it. Why does it drop the cursor 2 lines down and 3 words over every time unless I press and hold?

Iphone 11 pro max. Serious over heating on 17.5.1 , wifi dropping, notifications popping up asking to put in your password to icloud many many times, ridiculous! Some say just don’t download the updates then, but when you get the update it states all users should do it as it contains security updates, so damned if you do and damned if you don’t, a catch no doubt to make you buy the newest phone.

Brandon, I’ve noticed a bug that is becoming very irritating. At some point, Apple upgraded the calendar to allow for creating an event and giving travel time according to what form of transportation you’re using (walking, car, train, etc.) Great. However, older, previously scheduled events that allowed for travel time (or didn’t, still trying to figure out) are now notifying me that it is time to leave if I am walking. This means that events starting at, for example, 9am are notifying me at 6:30am to start walking. Is it just me?
Maybe just you, I haven’t had that issue. The travel time feature has existed for a long time.
17.5.1 in my mind only exposed a previous bug. I wonder if the photos were in the files app that uses the cloud, or the storage on the device? If it was folders in the cloud I wonder who has paid for larger storage due to deleted, or not deleted, photos. I am always suspicious on companies who keeps the story very vague to cover up something.

I have to say than the new iOS 17.5.1 was really helpful to me! Some months ago I was abroad I took lots o photos. However, most of them were gone due to roaming and not loading into iCloud. I talked to Apple and they said they couldn't do anything. After the uptake, the photos came back. Maybe Apple was "resurfing" photos for people who had issues like me

Siri gets too much of a bad rap, I run an entire smart home with Siri. Meanwhile Google Assistant on my Android phone won’t even recognize the command “Call X…” anymore.
Noticeably worse battery life on my 13 pro max since 17.5.1. I’m all for security updates, but 17.5.x seems like mostly a waste of time (for the US phones) unless you really want a special wallpaper. As far as iOS 18 goes, if more pointless emojis and excessively invasive AI is what we have to look forward to, it might be time to look elsewhere. It really feels like the updates over the past year or two have just been 😴😴😴.

I have no interest in having an iPad with macOS or a MacBook with a foldable touchscreen. I have always thought of Windows based laptops with touchscreens to be very unintuitive. Steve Jobs said it best at his Apple keynote presentation in January 2010 discussing the iPad and why touch-screens are not suitable for laptops.

Recall on windows has me considering moving to linux full time. I don't trust microsoft with my data.
A ton of Microsoft's moves led me to Linux years ago. I use a Win11 machine solely for work now (required, unfortunately).
@@CED.Dwellerwish i was more educated in that so I could move to Linux, I dont know why no one makes an "Easy Linux Installer" that just with a couple of clicks installs Linux... If something like that existed, im sure a lot of people would move to Linux...

@@CED.DwellerThose windows requirements suck. I use a Mac and for school I often need to use an old windows laptop we had laying around because sometimes there are tasks that require windows. But I'm sure if there was something that requires a Mac or an iPhone like "make a drawing in procreate" it would be a huge controversy.

No. Essential AI features for recent models - but iPhone 16 gets exclusive and advanced AI features.

Okay I am very unhappy with Apple. They updated their iOS this week and now I have to reassign *all* of my contacts text tones since they separated the text and ringtones. Found this out today when I got a text from my father & his notifications tone changed to the “ ‘default’not in contacts” sound! I don’t really like any of the options in the Text Tone Category!
I thought they had deleted those tones. But no just separated them, they won’t let you use them interchangeably anymore
The AI stuff is cool, but I’m more hopeful of the improvements coming to the core apps such as Apple mail, Calendar, iMessage, Safari, Apple Notes, Reminders, etc.

What bugs? We’re an Apple family with tons of Apple devices and really don’t have any bugs, our stuff pretty much works and when we do run into issues a restart (standard for any “computer”) fixes any wonky behavior.
Functional swipe typing, auto correct etc would be far more use to far more people!

17.5.1 has very bad battery life and i regret upgrading from 17.5
my battery it is better on ios 17.5.1 than any other version from 17 on my iphone 14
all the other versions i had bad battery, like a drop of 12-15% per hour, now is like 10% per hour
I updated from 17.4.1 to 17.5.1 and battery is even better i get 5h of screen on time with 57% left in my 14PM. I updated via ITunes

Every one I’m a curtains this update had me mad the secret is reset all settings it fixed the problems this update caused I created content and couldn’t do nothing but once I reset my settings on my 13 pro & my 15 pro max it came back to normal
updating to ios 17.5 caused my cellular data to stop working entirely, saying “update is required to use cellular data” despite being on the most up to date version of IOS, the internet is devoid of answers or solutions and most just say wait for the next update. what a joke of a tech company, their software is always abysmal

The corrupted database file of the picture could have been saved to iCloud and redownloaded to your phone, therefore resurfacing with the help of iCloud.
