Oops... you did it again. Thank you for bringing us another great song and breaking it down and analysing it. From hearing the vocals also, it's also clear that Britney's natural comfort zone was in the lower register - that 'exist' has always been a hard note to match - but maybe they really wanted her to sing more in an upper register? An overall well-produced song and always fun to listen to. If you are able to access tracks, it will be interesting to hear an analysis of some of her other songs but I'm thinking more her earlier stuff from her first few albums up to Blackout.
Alot of people are asking for songs from blackout! I will do my best to find as much as I can for you guys. Thanks so much for the support Daphne! I hope you’re enjoying the vids! :)
28:50 Love being an amateur hobbyist and seeing that big producers pull the same stuff to hide mistakes. It’s like being super worried for this tiny unrealistic cut then listening to it a week later and it’s completely unnoticeable.
A lot of the backing vocals are by Swedish singer NaNa Hedin, who's done so many backing and lead vocals for groups like Ace of Base, Aqua, A*Teens, and Céline Dion; and artists like E-type, Stakka Bo, Dr Alban, and her own solo work. In the end of the 2000s she was diagnosed with Stage IV tongue cancer, and had intense radiation therapy to become cancer-free. Finally in remission, her jawbone started dying and she is raising money to continue her recovery so she can retain her voice, sing, and smile. Her voice is amazing. Most of the backing vocals are Nana, and the really low ones are Max himself, but it does show Britney had more of a range than she's often given credit for,
11:20 that's what I'm saying and people say she's a bad singer and I don't get it. She has so much control over her voice and her vocal range is four octaves
On Apple Music, they recently introduced this song in 'Dolby Atmos' and I have no facts or information on this, but from my understanding, Dolby Almost is created to make it sound like you're in a room with speakers all around you (a type of surround sound but with only using your headphones with left and right ear), but I believe they have 4 channels in their files? An assumption could be that it being 'surround sound' means multiple layers in each stem (aka like they are laid out here.)I I just have a feeling that these surfaced from the Dolby Atmos version somehow because obviously we have 2 ears and 2 sides to a headphone (stereo), and some of the stems have overlaps with the instruments/vocals, even compared to the original stereo version. That's my theory anyway. :)
Amazinggggg, you should definitely check out the tracks for her single Make Me, they are out for quite some time now, it would be great for you to go through this song since is her most recent lead single til now
I remember around just a month or so when they were promoting the album the enhanced CD had a website link to make your own mix of the song and they have a few of these main stems on there and you could playback your own version, but it didn’t let you save it, and it also didn’t have the main vocals just the back ups.
They did it this way because when you put it together it creates a Haas Delay. Music back then used Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" technique. Where the music feels like it's coin from all around to and Gilling your spirit. It's not like today's Compression style where everything just sounds square and loud. That's great for working out I find but I can't listen to that to relax. I experimented with the Haas Delay technique in my song "The Way I Is" ( ua-cam.com/video/Yjb3M0Q1hEo/v-deo.html ) which is stripped down trap. And to do it, I layered my high hats about 5 times over and slightly delayed by miliseconds. You don't hear it but it puts the hits around you. I also did it with the vocals but made it more obvious.
I think these stems are from the Tidal release of this song on Dolby Atmos I believe. I could be wrong but that could be why they sound filtered in some places.
The 'went down and got it for ya' talking parts are actually the legendary Max Martin (who produced this and many Britney hits). He also sings backgrounds I believe. Max also produced some of the Taylor Swift songs you've covered.
I really enjoy your stem analysis. Thank you so much. I'm a huge Britney fan. Can you please do one for Toxic? The stems leaked as well. I'm really curious because I already know a bit but it is interesting to hear what others say
Hi Takeru! I hve the stems for toxic but they aren’t in ‘order’ they’re all the original sliced up files for the beats and vocals I mean individual clips of audio for the whole track with no time code or structure so they will take me a long time to rebuild from those files I’ve tried to puzzle it together before but it made my brain hurt. I will try until I get it right and I will do it when I start up the next season! Thanks so much for watching even while I’m on my UA-cam break! Much appreciated. Toxic is one of my favourite Britney songs
@@luffegun Thank you so much😊 Definitely left a subscribtion. Waiting for that Toxic vocal analysis🤩 Toxic is my alltime favorite song and I know the song is weirdly seperated😂 Hope we can get there through
I think these are technically extractions from channels on Tidal, and not stems or multitracks, unfortunately. There are a good number of isolated elements but they’re all over the place. And some of the stems are pulled from a 2000 site remix competition that didn’t use 100% legitimate stems either. 🥲 I would love love love to have the official stems or multitrack from this song. Iconic!
I think it has come from an older source and has resurfaced or the other thought I had was, they worked Brit like a horse. This song was promo’d all over the world. Sometimes she had a full band but as this song has so many elements, I wonder if they made their own mix to use to fill the live band. Sometimes she had a guitarist and keyboards so would have needed more of these channels when performing in that situation (tv shows etc). Then she toured this album and may have used elements for that too? That way each performance sounds different slightly and if you have a look on UA-cam, there are differences in each performance of this song depending on what I said previously. She as a result it maybe made sense that lots of the channels had some kind of main element plus backing vocals of some sort to fill up Brits voice when singing. Sorry for the huge comment but I’m so into this stuff and I love your channel. Many thanks, your new friend Chris from Scotland. Also… low self worth? You’re the coolest person I’ve ever seen. ✌🏻
Britney often fully lipsyncs, BUT with what's happened to her recently it's no surprise they wouldn't let her have her mic on. She sometimes sings with a track, so maybe she would do the verses with some backing, then she would dance and lipsync the chorus, this is pretty normal for most singers. In occasion she's sang 100% live and it's not bad
@@LiamLewisofficial yup totally correct and I agree. With the amount of dancing she did, it’s no crime at all to have some help. I would normally be on the side of you can dance and sing at the same time if you work at it (Gaga, Beyoncé to name a couple) however in the case of Brit, she was never looked after and managed correctly even before the c-ship. She was worked very hard and rather than work on her vocals, especially when she is singing in a register that is not her natural tone and therefore she has breath control issues. They focused on squeezing in more work for her touring and appearances etc. I really hope she can at least get to a place where she is truly happy. The way in which she has been treated by the industry, media and her peers is disgusting. Can’t wait to support any future ventures such as her book and if that’s all and she bows out, I 💯 support that too.
These "stems" are actually filtered from the 360RA version, that's why some elements are still present in some tracks and why there's weird panning in certain parts.
These are not official multritrack stems unfortunately, as they were filtered from Tidal's 360RA version (7.1.4 surround mix). Whoever made these simply isolated the instruments + vocals and upconverted them to FLAC (the source is a lossy 20mb file).
Oh man! That’s good to know! Thanks for the insight! Yeah I see a lot of people ‘up-converting’ to FLAC and I’m like dude this is an MP3 hahah thanks for watching
Adrian Sorry you don’t like it. I literally cannot do that because I’m displaying someone else’s copyrighted material and my videos keep getting automated copyright claims on them and could be removed completely. If you can do a better job presenting these then by all means do it. But please think before you comment as I’m not a ‘youtuber’ I’m a person. You could say the wrong thing to the wrong person one day and that may send them over the edge. I have over 100 of these videos up so you’re welcome to watch through and find one you like. But you’re also welcome to just not watch them at all. I can’t control your reaction to this only you can. Have a great one and thanks for watching.
That “exist” part is what her real voice sounds like. She really can hit those low notes. It’s crazy
This video should be shown to everyone who says Britney can't sing
I agree! and at such a young age!!!

Max Martin is probably one of the best vocal mixer in history. The background vocals almost sounds like gospel
Because it's Nana Hedin. She's god of backs
@@alexsmithy6558 Yes and probably 2 more people sang the back
@@Random.Uploads Max Martin and Nana Hedin sing in the backing vocals
@@Jesus-en6sw it's Britney, Max and Nana. There's also a few who do the crowd noises. But all backing vocals are those three!
A feel like a good track would be "Stronger". Such an innovative track for the time period.

This is gold. Brilliant.
Omg so excited for this!! Love these breakdowns of Britney music. Thank you for all you do!
Throughly enjoyed this one 👌🏼 I want to know how these 22 years old Swedish studio gems randomly come out the woodwork 😂
She also does that low note in the track "Intimidated" which is another very interesting track in the vain of something like Oops.

It's her 6th single overall. Meaning in her first album they released 5 singles and now her 6th single is the first (lead single) from oops album
