I bought a similar product from Amazon and used it on my front loading dryer with the lint trap below the door. I used it with my shark upright vacuum and the lint filled half of the canister. Then went outside and cleaned the dryer vent. It is like opening Pandora’s box. Thank you for your review. Fire prevention is so important!

I just pull my dryer out a few times a year and remove the back cover screws and clean it out for real. Also gives me a chance to clean under and behind the dryer. By doing this my dryer has lasted 19 years so far.

Last night my husband and I were talking about how our dryer wasn't drying properly and we thought the vent may need some cleaning! I watched your video about the Wish items the other day, and while shopping with my sister the same day, we saw the pet hair wand thing! I was able to tell her how it worked and she loves it! I might get this. I can see how taking the dryer out and doing a complete job may be better, but perhaps do that once a year and use this every month! I also see that this long, flexible tube will be useful for under the fridge, stove and laundry room appliances as well as possibly working to remove some things that get down in my floor heating vent.
the lint lizard is good for cleaning out the dryer lint trap but i think the other brush one is best for cleaning out the vent pipe where you can attach extentions to it
I onced stopped at a house fire in North Hollywood California. The homeowner came home about the time the fire department got done. The fire chief approached the lady (rather close to where I was standing) and asked if she was the homeowner, she said she was and asked what happened. He asked her if she had cleaned out her lint trap on the drier recently. She couldn't recall. He said the drier was left running and the accumulated lint caught fire.
2 lessons:
1) Clean out the lint from the system and
2) Never leave a running washer or drier unattended. Stay home when they're on. Washing machine hose have burst and flooded homes when no one was aroun.

Washing machine hose will burst weather you're running it or not. It's always got water pressure in it
First of all I've repaired appliances for over 25 years. Yes there is a big difference between your Whirlpool made Kenmore and other dryers with the lint filter up front. I would not recommend this product because it gives a false sense of security to dryer owners. Cleaning lint from a dryer should include cleaning the entire vent duct to the outside. Also if you have a front mounted lint screen you can see what is built up with the removal of the filter and looking in the slot with a flashlight. Your dryer has to be disassembled to see the corresponding lint buildup. Hire a professional or get familiar with the entire lint buildup clean out. This is important because ignoring this advice may burn your house down. Lint fires happen every day in America.

For those of us who are/were oblivious to the fact that "there's a lot more where that came from" as we clean that little screen - this is nothing more than a toy to see how fast the vacuum canister fills up, unless we get the rest of what we don't see.. I agree that we need to take this information seriously.
It wasn't until I found this product on sale at Walmart for $5, took it home, filled my vacuum canister that I realized I wasn't finished cleaning.
I was one of those people who thought dryer fires were caused by lazy people who simply didn't clean their lint screen.
Now that I know, just like i clean the vent after every use, I will be using my lizard every few weeks between MAJOR VENT CLEAN OUTS.

If you own a body on frame truck or SUV, this is a must own tool. Use it to vaccume out your frame through the factory holes every few years.
The dirt, rust and sand build up inside and holds moisture rotting out the frame. Spraying it with oil will not help if it has debris inside.
First vaccume it with a shop vac then blow it out in reverse(after emptying the vac) Then spray oil inside. Do the same to the rockers and even the top of the frame as well where stuff builds up.
Awesome review, thanks. Also as a side note, that is exactly why you shouldn't use dryer sheets in the dryer. Dryer sheets are great for other things, as they de-static things, like dust from electronics. But for the same reasons dryer sheets work for household hacks, is why they clog up the link in your dryer and the lint screen and trap. IF the lint screen can be COMPLETELY REMOVED, run it under water and you will see the water puddle then drain. Wash with soap, rinse, dry with a paper or cloth towel, or let air dry before putting back in. As another commenter said, lint trapped can catch fire. Save yours and next time you go camping, take it with you to start your campfire.
Use liquid fabric softener in the washer and dryer balls in the dryer.

You should clean that regularly because a fire happens quicker than you think. If you see what I get out WEEKLY, just that amount you pulled now, how much do you think is in there in a couple of months. If your dryer feels warm, too warm, get your vacuum cleaner or do it like the instructions say for your dryer because again, a fire caused due to a dryer is way often than people realize.

I've got this exact same dryer, and Shark vacuum, so i'm glad to have watched this, so I didn't overheat my Shark! I'd use the Lint Lizard again after using the brush. There's probably a bunch that could be vacuumed out now.
I take my lint tube off the dryer, use a thing like the lint eater jr with my drill to loosen things then i put my leaf blower in and blast it out the vent, its like a hurricane hit outside 😜 but super effective

If you get this much lint out, it's time to open the dryer up and clean it. Your burners or heating elements are likely heavily coated. You could use the LL for a quick monthly cleanout, not years of neglect.
Without watching the entire video, I can tell that this tubing is crap. The lint is probably trapped further than that tubing can reach. How do I know? I had a professional dryer vent cleaning done and they said most of the trapped lint is halfway between the dryer and the outside vent. For my house, that's about 21 feet. Better to pay a professional to clean out the vent (was told every 2 years). It's the lint you cannot reach that starts a dryer fire. Great video as always!

My earring went down to the sink and I was heart broken. I was at Target when this caught my attention I bought it and I used with my wet/dry vaccum cleaner. Working with the hose into the pipe and Thanks God I was able to recovery lovely earring😊
The nice thing about using the lint eater instead is now you can actually clean your ducts and the output of the dryer which is pretty critical.

Your reviews are awesome. I can relate to Opus on the old Bloom County cartoon who always would see a TV commercial and order 100 of whatever they're selling. But watching your videos means I can enjoy the trill of seeing how these products work and not spending a dime! :)
Take the dryer apart and shop vac it out including the blower housing. Then clean the vent. If you don't know what you are doing call an appliance repair shop. If your vent hasn't been cleaned at least every year at normal use it needs it...
When you went to the store, I was thinking you were going to try and find a bigger hose you could adapt to it.

I didn’t know these kinds of products existed. I can say I see the market for them though because in my house’s dryer, the lint screen got cleaned but no one realized it was piling up at the bottom. Eventually it piled up enough that the lint screen wouldn’t go all the way down. A corner of it stuck out and clothes would catch on it and twist into oblivion.

I've had the lint lizard for a couple of years now. It has plenty of suction power as demonstrated in your video. The only challenge is guiding the tip with (no visibility) once it is down in the crevice since the hose just kind of flops around.

I bought this product back when it was called lint B gone. Same product, different name. The sales pitch is focused on preventing dryer fires which happen over time due to lint build up.

Well, the Lint Lizard's tube is of a noticeably narrower aperture than the vacuum's general intake port, so you would get the same suction force over a smaller area. So it would handle denser clumps poorly, causing clogs. Well, that would be a problem with most vacuums, trying to suck up something that exceeds the diameter of any part of it that it can't easily compress. Bit of a catch 22 really. With the force confined to a smaller area, it's better at forcing things down the tube, but the tube is narrower, so it rather works out the same in the end. Narrow tubes are really just better at getting into smaller spaces and picking up small debris more reliably.
Still though, it looks like they really cheaped out on the tube. It's just cut diagonally at the end. Makes me wonder if the tube was originally double the length, and it was cut diagonally at the middle section, making two tubes. Would make some sense, as they wouldn't have to waste the cross section of tubing that would otherwise get cut off at the end.
I used the Lint Lizard you used in this video, it grabbed onto a huge chunk of lint once I removed it, I then got about 3 inches of lint, then went outside and got another 3 inches of lint, feel a lot better having done it now...cool video...

I do dryer vent cleaning in Southern California and the only way to completely remove lint from the lint trap is to pull the back off the dryer and take the back panel of the lint trap off. That will expose any trapped lint that has accumulated over the years and in some dryers it can be extensive. I just serviced a customer's vent who actually had a dryer fire inside the dryer cabinet because of failure to clean the lint filter before every dry cycle. They got lucky they didn't have a major house fire!
The problem was the lint lizard was clogging because the lint inside was a little moist. Once you tried it on the lint you had already pulled out, it had quickly dried up enough to make its job easier. The linteater does a much better job because it loosens everything. Once its loose, turn on the dryer and all that shit will just blow out the back.
It would've taken less time to take the back off of the dryer, remove the lint trap and clean it properly.

Dryer makers are just stupid! Just sticking my head in the dryer to find screws makes me dizzy. I’m 64 yrs old, how the hell im gonna pull the dryer out and undo everything. Now, my question is... if the dryer is clogging up, isn’t this a mechanical issue? The warrenty will only cover electronic or mechanical failure.... I guess I need to wait till my dryer catches fire like the last one did! Then it will surely be an electronic failure! Sons of bitches.....

However you choose to get that lint out do it because if it gets packed in there you can have a house fire the birds make nests in your dryer vent. Check them.

To pushing hoses into the dryer can cause damage in the dryer. Also with that hose in the dryer you might going to move some dust and lint into bad places like near heating element and that can easily lead to fire.
I don't recommend to use anything like that.

I like the hurricane lint lizard. I have two dogs so I feel like getting some of the hair and lint is helpful opposed to just waiting til the yearly cleaning. 8/10 for me. Great video content.

I bought the one from Home Depot I think it cost me $1995. But it was ment I do believe for the outside in of your dryer. It's got like a 6in round bristle with three foot extensions 5 extensions all together. Just in case you have a long exhaust pipe from your dryer to the exterior. I have never tried to use it on the inside on the dryer itself. I have a little to foot brush with a wooden handle with wire running from the wooden handle to the brush so you can bend and twist it. I think I'll stick with what I got. Thanks for taking the time

Looks like the lint just needs to be broken up a little bit for the vacuum. I have the same vacuum you do and it really is not a bad little thing. I can sweep the majority of my floors on a charge and never had to use its turbo mode even though I can any time. It drains the battery faster so if it works well without it I don't use it. They have s small sponge filter in the top under that door. Other than charging it only needs that cleaned out once in a while. I am not sure if it is brushless but it works well.
I am a appliance tech, you need to use a bristled brush to scrub any lose particles, moistened lint will cake into stuff, I would use a dryer vent brush then use the lint lizard to suck up the lose stuff Or depending on how your run is to outside use the bristled brush and turn on the dryer and have it blow all the shit outside and let nature do the dusting.
Only you could make a video about vacuuming lint for 8 minutes interesting.

Ohmigosh, I thought I was the only one. And I wanted to sneeze.
I use my leaf blower from the outside in(have a 12 foot run) and seal a bag over the lint trap gets it really clean.

Just an FYI, if you can attach it to you shop vac you will get way more suction...

Might have run a bore camera before and after down there to see how much lint you started with and how clean it was when done.
I have the original, and it works very good. It looks like the original, although I do have the curling problem, gets more out since it is a larger diameter tube.
I have a dryer with the lint trap inside and I’ve been looking around for something to use to get lint out.
Me thinks it is time to do a review on a new washer and dryer set ... Ask UA-cam for a raise, or get Whirlpool to sponsor you giving a set away at 200k ... One last thing after cleaning out your lint, you need to be aware or atleast supervise the next 1 to 3 loads going thru the dryer. Because you disturbed the natural compaction flow, the areas lint collects are layered with moist lint as they dry your clothes. However now what is left is all fluffy and aerated, just ripe for the slightest spark. If a spark should happen, a flash fire takes place sending a fire ball out both ends of the vent, and it sounds like a cannon went off. The risk of an actual sustained fire is minimal because the fire ball clears out any possible lint left to fuel one.........

I have a lint eater I attached to my drill and then went outside and insert the round brush in the vent, before using I turned on the dryer on cool setting and then while cleaning the vent outside the air from dryer blew out the lint... Works good for Me..
I would never recommend this or any other vac attachments shoved into a machine blindly as these devices can make blockages worse and/or damage sensitive internal parts of the dryer. The best way to clean that model dryer is; unplug machine, remove the back, remove the lint shute which is just a few screws inside and two on top where the lint screen enters. There's always debris trapped in the bottom because of the shute tunnels design shape. This also gives you access to impeller wheel which should also be cleaned. Then reassemble making sure parts and screws go back to original positions and voila, good as new!
i have one that is in an oval shape narrow and wide..it does a nice job
I have the front dryer vent. I'm looking for something flexible to go down into that and suck the lint out. That brush would have not worked. I have a smaller version of the brush and it doesn't work well. Thank you for showing this video.

I had the original lint lizard and the hose was so hard and would not unravel like you said. I bought it second hand new unopened but I thought it was the age that made the hose hard but apparently it was just the was it was. I would still prefer to take the dryer apart and clean it with a vacuum that way
My opinion here but you need a brush/abrasive to rub the sides and coax lint off said sides to come out. The hose will only get the loose particles - better than nothing tho

You need to go in thru the rear exhaust too. Youll get more lint that way. Mine was AFU before. :)
Rather than sucking the lint out, I always use a full size shop vacuum and blow the lint out. It works perfectly every time!
I have the old lint lizard. It works great but the hose isn't as flexible as the new one. They need to make one with the flex tube of the new one with the opening of the old one.

The entire cover of most dryers is very easy to takeoff then you just clean it out and put it back together… Piece of cake

I remember buying the original Lint Lizard a few years ago. The hose adapter seemed bigger than the hurricane lizard. And yes, it was a pain to straighten up... LOL... It worked fine for the one time I used it. Think I paid $20 back then. Probably not worth it.
That would REALLY help me clean out my torts enclosure...coco coir is a lot like dirt or sand, hard as hell to get out by hand.

I would be interested in how well this works with newer dryers. I tried the original Lint Lizard in my Samsung a few years ago and had a couple of problems. In addition to the curling problem you already talked about, my vent was too narrow for the hose to fit down into.
It does not work well. I have a double stack where lint collector is inside under the door. The comment above mine is right
