Kelly Coffield is one of the most talented sketch comedy actors that was ever on television. I've always wondered if she turned down Hollywood or wasn't willing to do "certain things" to het the spotlight? Because talent wise she could do it all, was one of a kind and completely original.
I read somewhere Wayans tried to get her into their movies, but she would turn them down. Not sure how true it is because she seemed to love being reunited with them as she seem to be friends with the Wayans still. She was in some episodes of Wayans My Wife and Kids however. I know years later Jim Carrey had Kelly casted in Kidding when it was still on.
Carrey and Coffield were the secret weapons imbedded within the stellar cast of slugging dazzling All Stars which made up the amazing ILC crew. Keenan really struck gold adding those two. Unlike Jim, Kelly Coffield Park was totally underrated and dhould have achieved the success Carrey did.

And to be fair, Jean Doumanian was not good at gauging who was funny enough to be on SNL, which is why season six was the way it was. And Jim Carrey auditioned again when Lorne Michaels returned to his show in 1985, but Jim saw a man about to commit suicide and thought that being a cast member on SNL would ruin his mental health. And Lorne actually feels bad that he never got Jim Carrey as a cast member.
