Hope you read this. I've just received my results. I got 135! I am living in Turkey. My name is Niyazi. Since I haven't lived in any country where English is spoken as a mother tongue or work in any institute where English is major language, I haven't had a chance to put what I had been learning into use. I didn't have anyone to speak. So, I've talked to myself in front of a mirror. I've murmured at work just trying to describe what I was doing. So my point is after all tedious work to improve my proficieny and gaining more command in English, your videos had helped me so much.The tips about the different question types and ways that given by you to augment our knowledge of English were all informative. 2 days preparation & scored 140. I spended 1 days watching your videos and the next taking practice test, thats all. I cannot thank you enough, I applied the patterns you explained and it helped me for sure. Mr. Luke if you can add the below in you next video, it might help someone. TIP: I discovered the listen & write section, where you get 3 chances. Try to grasp as much as possible in the first go. It helps increasing the chances of getting good score. I tried this while taking the practice test. and I'm sure I saw some improvement in score.
@@lameme3158 if you have given/tried the practice test you will have the idea, what I’m saying on above…. However in simpler words, there is a section/set of questions - where a sentence will be read out and you need to listen it and type what have you heard.. you will get total three chances to replay the sentence.. So, Acc to my observation - try to listen carefully in the first go and type the answer. It will increase your chances to gain more marks.

Hi teacher Luke, Thank you so much for your videos. I have recieved my test result today and Alhamd Ul Illah I have scored 135, even though I wasnt expecting that score. Your Videos helped me alot. Some Tips for Test Takers:- 1- Prepare the most for your Image Speaking Test and Scenario Speaking Test cause thats the most important part and practise speaking in front of mirror as much as you can and also try to focus most on your fluency cause I have noticed that even when you are not gramatically correct while speaking, you get most of your score for fluency and accent (I got 125 for that). 2- Watch All kinds of Teacher Luke's videos so you know all the types of questions you may be asked because in practice test you dont get to see almost 3-4 question types that appear in actual test. 3- Just be very confident as you are about to start the test. 4- In Writing part, write as much as you can about the scenario cause I think they judge you for the word count in your writing part. 5- Just dont try to worry too much and be prepared as this test is not very difficult but not that easy too. Thats all.
Dear Teacher Luke, thank you for your video, I watched about 10's of yours, did 3 times Duolingo practice test, got 110-130, 105-120, and 110-130. At the time of the real test, I have a hard time to start the test (download the test for 10minutes, 15minutes, last time I waited until 30minutes, then after 2 days and 3 failed start, I changed my wifi to another provider which then started the test right away...tadaa). The real test was harder than the practice, especially the "describe the picture" test (which I only able to write 2 sentences, instead my plan 4) and "fill in the blank" test (which sometimes I don't know the answer). Surprisingly, after sometimes waiting in frustation, I got 120 total result (althou low in production), but since my US uni only need minimum DET 105, I been accepted to my uni. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR EFFORT TO HELP US ALL 🙏🙏🙏

Duolingo is acceptable in most of the universities in uk , you just need to check the language requirements on the university's website or you can drop them an email . Nd yes, i have seen many getting uk study visa with duolingo.

My test was not certified and I have to take it again. I wasn't confident in the speaking part in the previous test. Watching this video now before I retake my test in 15minutes. This video is helping me. Fingers crossed I do better this time around.

I want to know if I label the image and use simple sentences, but speak for 90 seconds, will I get a better score or should I use complex structures but speak for a shorter time, say 60 seconds?

I would like to ask, in the exam if the time runs out automatically and advance to the next part, does Dualingo program evaluate what we write or speak until the end of limited time or we will be penalized at that part as zero score or lowering the score.

I have an intermediate level in English and I may not be able to talk about images with complex structures for 90 seconds. I want to know if I label the image and use simple sentences, but speak for 90 seconds, will I get a better score or should I use complex structures but speak for a shorter time, say 60 seconds?

Hi Luke ! I watched your videos for 6-7 days and got 120. It was possible for you. But I got only 100 in production, so will it effect my score?? Cz I heard that to get entry in a college we need at least 110 in production.
