You might be wondering why it took me 3 weeks to make a 9 minute video. Well…I’ve been working on ‘The Early Development of Batman Arkham City’ and another video alongside it while I was making this on the side. Also, I collaborated with a different channel. Omg, its really embarrassing to talk about it here so watch it if you want: ua-cam.com/video/1F1cITMQpao/v-deo.htmlsi=NCj5fsRCsoy2n808
Can't wait for the Arkham City Video. Big fan of those games, and I was so fascinated by all the information I learned from the video you made about Asylum
YEEEESSSS ARKHAM CITY LET'S GOOO
I'm eagerly waiting for your Batman Arkham City vid.
Can you please do a video on cut content from XMen 3? If there is any, I'd think the last stand might have cut ideas, no one ever brings up deleted material for it.
@Warpingfist what’s the background music you use in almost all of your videos? The one that sounds kinda like Persona 5 music.
Im so grateful to god that this movie didnt happen david fincher is not right for Spider-Man he could be perfect for Daredevil, Punisher and Wolverine
I think he’d be a good fit if they were making a dark else worlds story, but definitely not a good pick for a mainstream spider-man film.
@@WarpingFistyeah I agree finchers Spider-Man movie pitch reminds me of the comic book Spider-Man reign
David fincher isn't right for anything
@@The_Infamous_Boogyman except his films that were successful both critically and commercially
Or batman I think he if he made a batman movie it would be good but way to similar to Christopher Nolan's batman movies
Honestly, I wouldn't doubt that Fincher could make something really interesting and moving with his pitch but it's for the best it never happened. People love to focus on the emotional anguish that Spider-Man has gone through in many stories but for his first appearance on the big screen what we got with Raimi and his mix of campiness along with a good amount of grit and angst was the way to go.
For a first film maybe not. A sequel, similar to how he felt about stars wars, he’d be game. He said the second film in a trilogy are alway seemingly stand alone from the other two. So Kraven Last Hunt would be excellent for David Finchers Spider-Man.
With general audiences now being familiar with the multiverse and multiple iterations of spider-man throughout it thanks to recent movies i would love if they gave David another chance only this time he can go as bonkers and dark with his vision as he wants as he wouldn't have to be constrained to do a peter parker story sony would want. He could even create his own spider-sona from scratch entirely if he wanted
I'm gonna be honest, his idea feels more like an ending for a trylogy than a solo film, I think this could work if Sony decides to make a thirth movie of The amazing Spider-man franchise.
But I think everyone is agree, this couldn't work on the context of 2002.
Right. Introducing audiences to spider-man in this way would’ve been risky.
@@WarpingFistit isn't tho spider man has a lot of history of storytelling, and to be honest where it dealing with mainstream audience or not, there something really dangerous about making your audience get use to something and obviously audience today has very specific image about spider man
@teddybear8348 It would have been risky. I think you are looking from POV of 2023 instead of 2002. Imagine seeing a character for the first time and then most of the movie is the end of his story. That isn't an introduction, is it? The movie was suppose to be an introduction.
@@blackmanoogabooga his pitch is not perfect but the direction still very interesting all he needs to do is not letting feel it a sequel
I think if we get a more mature Spider-Man movie someday it'll be with tom hollands spider-man in the mcu
I would've loved to have seen this. Fincher is awesome.
At point though Sony attempted to contact David Fincher again for his own take on spider man like years ago on their reboot but unfortunately nothing came of it though most likely Fincher was busy doing a movie at the time is the reason he couldn't do his spider man take on a reboot for a 2nd time so yeah I would definitely love to see his take on the character and the story in the future
I have such an incredibly high respect for Fincher but I don't think he should ever touch a CBM, even with a 20 foot poll
Reeves' Batman is probably the closest thing we'll ever get to see of a Fincher CBM and I'm fine with that
Fincher could do a great adaptation of Hellblazer, A Sickness in the Family, or even The Nobody.
Funny because his newest movie is a cbm 😂
@@mero7731 Fine a *superhero* movie
You happy?
@@OvertheHedge06 Not until folks like you recognize that comic books are a medium and not a genre. :)
Isn't his upcoming film based on a comic
sam raimi turned up being the almost unbelievably perfect choice to adapt spider-man. every other director tried adding their own spin but raimi was the only one that truly understood the character. we’re living in the perfect timeline
But again he is not the only one, David finisher and other like James Cameron who were this close to direct a spider man movie didn't fully step away from understand the character,if anything James Cameron spider man vision in a lot of ways were probably the most accurate to spider man
@@teddybear8348 how so? i seen what’s known of his version and i thought a few things were questionable.
@@darkodarko2803 but in general about peter character it accurate 💯 ,him being with very nagetive point of view on the world and the only thing I'm his life that he loves is ben and may
Damn. This definitely wouldn't have been the right film to make in 2001 as Spider-Man's first Hollywood film. Especially if the studio wanted a film that would introduce most people to the history of Spider-Man. Although I could see this work as a live action Peter B. Parker movie.
I'd love to see a Adult Spider-Man movie someday just not with peter b parker
Fincher describes his Spider-Man as a teenager but i doubt he would’ve actually made them that young. Maybe 19 to 25. And I doubt it would’ve been Ed Norton. At that time it could’ve been a Jake Gyleenhaal or DiCaprio. Fincher chose Gyleenhal for zodiac cause he seen him in Donnie Darko - ironically back in 2001. And Jake was in Hollywood by 1998.
Man. I'm loving all of this Spider-Man content this week from everyone. Mainly about the new game. But i can always count on warpingfist for a cool history lesson. 💯 👍
I can't recall this but for a first Spider Man movie, absolutely no.
In terms of superhero movies, I’ve always seen Se7en as being a Batman movie without Batman. The nameless city could easily be Gotham, with its darkness, corruption, its broken police force and psychopathic serial killer. All it would have taken would be “looks like He’s out tonight” or the occasional glance towards the rooftops
that would be epic , like a solo gordon movie or a who's the batman or what is the batman?
I think i would've loved to have seen James Camerons Spider-Man movie i love his work on aliens, the abyss and terminator 1 and 2 also bothe avatar movies
I get so excited when I see a new upload from you, especially your lost movie videos!
He would make a cool Spider-man Noir Movie
Oh, I didn’t even think about that. Its perfect
Hell yeah!
its sounds good, better than any spider-man movies after raimi and seems like he understood the character more than marvel or most of the fans these days...
Spider-man Lotus, you will like that
@@miadatenshi9903why would u say that???? Why would u lie like that????
@@amazingjay3957 He says he likes spider-man movies that truly understand the characters, unlike the newer films
We all know Spider-man Lotus is made with that in mind
@@miadatenshi9903 it made with that in mind, but does it really understad them?
They could easily make a dark/twisted version of Spiderman and call it the multiverse🤷♂️🍿
Spider-Man 2003 is the dark version of Spider-Man
& Also elements of the David Fincher movie were reworked in the 2003 show
Never clicked so fast on a video in my lifetime. The probability of my all-time favorite director helming a FRICKIN' SPIDERMAN movie!? What could've been.. This would've been amazing.
This would've been so dope to see, especially looking back now.
Nothing is more exciting than Peter Parker yelling "What's in the box?!!!!" while Miles Morales found MJ's head in a box sent by Green Goblin.
Any ideas of doing a video about the development of Jurassic Park?
I know I've been asking this for a while. But it would be cool if you make an unused concept video for Terminator 1 and 2.
I literally thought of Spider Man Lotus too before you mentioned it haha 😂
The ending is literally the end of TASM 2
6:03 😂
That alien 3 quick frame 😂
Why hasnt sony made a body horror movie with the Spider-Man character the lizard
I guess no director has really expressed interest
I have a script I personally made on this
That would never happen in this current era. You could’ve gotten away with it in the 80’s & 90’s the closest you get is if Marvel wanted to do a reference to it in a freaky cartoony way for the MCU.
Tim Burton I actually kind of get making a Spider-Man movie due to some Spider-Man stories depicting him feeling like he's an outsider, But if Michael Bay was in charge of directing a Spider-Man movie it would be even more inappropriate and more adult then James Cameron's version.....and this is coming from someone who kind of likes Michael Bay's movies most of them at least😂
The ending of the movie is exactly like the amazing spider man 2
Would have loved it
This sounds interesting
Well this could work if he was doing the Todd MacFarlane run on Spider-Man or Kraven’s last hunt or Spider-Man noir, but see that movie the Game I think he could have used Mysterio, I thought that some of these elements was used in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 with the death of Gwen Stacy and I wasn’t sure was it Norman or Harry as the Green goblin in this movie.
How about Superman 3 and Superman Returns sequel next
Fincher describes his Spider-Man as a teenager & then at times say it was an adult story. i doubt he would’ve actually made spider-man that young.
This honestly sounds way better than James Cameron’s version, this is something that I would have actually wanted to see
where some of these pictures are from
A Tim Burton Spider-Man film would’ve slapped Ngl.
It definitely would have been weird
@@WarpingFist well I would like to be like Spider-Man noir
i'm probably thr biggest david fincher fan, like i dont how many times ive watched Se7en, Zodiac, Gone Girl 🤣🤣 But His spiderman os definitely go the darker route, and I'm still curious
I’ll through my two cents and say that I think David Fincher would make a badass and scary Hellboy film.
Now would be best time to make a fourth Spidey in the big screens apart from the animated films, A different world from the Tom Holland one.
Now that audiences are fed up with cookie cutter superhero movies, A Dark and Bleak story of Peter Parkar is what I am craving for.
Go back to your station, I'm not tasting this crap!😂
Spider-Man Lotus but it`s good
Love the grounded humanize Spiderman they should do that.
I like David finchers pitch
Glad they didinr this movie
A movie like that to come out back then wouldn't be a great idea if you wanted to introduce people to the world of Spider Man. However maybe these days I think more people would be more open to a idea like that but of course done with enough care and given to the right people to handle.
The plot is sm1 tobey and andrew tasm2 mix
Turns out they wanted that feature length Spider-Man origin story so bad they made it twice.
Brad Pitt as Norman Osborn
First shot of Fincher Spiderman-
A confused teen monologuing and shagging😢
Sony is too high maintenance with spiderman
Now were cooking with gas.
BABE WARPING FIST JUST POSTED A NEW VIDEO
I could be wrong, but I think a filmmaker needs to have a healthy respect for any source material he or she is adapting. Not a dogmatic adherence, but enough reverence to capture the spirit of what drew people to the material in the 1st place. If Fincher doesn't care for superheroes (as seems to be the case), then he was always going to be a bad fit.
Well that depends. Some comic characters are far darker than a lot of their lighthearted counterparts, such as Red Hood or The Punisher. Heck, Matt Reeve's Batman is as close to a Fincher superhero film as we're probably going to get. If you want my opinion, I think take a stab at another Constantine film, he'd be the perfect fit for such dark and psychological subject matter, albeit with a supernatural twist.
I wonder what a Michael bay spiderman would be like.
Hey can you do chris Columbus lost fantastic four
Yeah, I Want to talk about that
@@WarpingFist also there were some concept art to a Deathlok movie by Paramount pictures
It’s weird to think that David Fincher almost directed Batman and Spider-Man
Lore of The Story Behind David Fincher’s Lost Spider-Man Film momentum 100
Could the film have been good? I'm sure. Could the film have been a good Spider-Man movie? I'm not quite sure.
Comic book fans are boring they would have hated this movie.
Sounds unique and interesting and maybe we wouldn’t be stuck with the Boy Scout mischaracterization of the Raimi films
