"Neebs says feathers are everywhere..."
"They are!"
I just found some!
Dies on day 1, respawns near backpack, proceeds to run through town naked and with no supplies agro'ing every zombie, runs straight into a snake while fleeing zombies, broken arm, infected, and concussed...this is all day 1. It's like watching Mr. Bean play 7D2D!
i don't think even Bean himself would be this bad lol
I'm gonna get to Rowan Atkinson right now, this needs to be a thing!
Bit harsh man, Mr bean isn't this dumb
I just got here after watching Glock9 kill about 20 zombies on day one with a bone knife. This is a hilariously opposite experience, but equally entertaining!
I like to think of Simon like Mr. Magoo but with realistic outcomes.
2 mins in, makes a bow...already has one, shoots a arrow into the ground, chicken gets away, lol.
Multiple deaths, infected and storage chest destroyed by zombie all in the first day.....
Never change Simon, i can't stop laughing already..
Hey, He Made a Bow, that is a MAJOR upgrade.
I also love that he's right clicking with the sledge... but then left clicking with the club... LMAO!!!Oh...Simon. You silly silly man.
I want the next one right now
lets not forget starts the video already over encumbered
He made a bow and immediately knew he needed honey or antibiotics. I'm impressed tbh
The fact that the one block he puts his storage on is the target, is classic Simon. This was a fun episode. Solo Simon is always enjoyable
I find it hilarious and frustrating that he was so obsessed with putting down a storage chest that he didn’t think to just use the loot boxes 😂
Love the solo Simon! You’ve come a long way, and we’re proud of you, babe.
Keep making these and I’ll keep watching.
Has he though? Lol
This guys has at least earned a mentioning in the Guinness book of records. They play video games for a living for many years, they have played this specific game for years and it still looks like he is playing it for the very first time.
And yes folks, i know he is the comedic relief of this group, but damn ...
Yea, he got decent around the alonish series and right after that nut then regressed back. I enjoyed him being a decent player because they're all comedic relief and incompetence can just be frustrating to watch!
... I always assumed that Simon ('Pinky') was the elderly employee that all Funky Companies have to have to get tax breaks... Lol. 💖💖💖💖
... Go Simon. 😍😁
I love when he pulls such a "Simon" by building new bow when he had 1 in Inventory from beginning quest. LOL.
Simon, let's keep it simple and introduce you to the wonders of the "R" key. The "R" key let's you Loot All, which will help prevent multiple stacks of the same item in your inventory (taking up unnecessary space and adding to encumbrance). The "R" key also reloads your weapons. When you have the bow drawn with an arrow and want to release it without launching the arrow hit the "R" key. Oh, and figure out an organization process for your inventory it will save you a lot of effort. There's a sort button at the top of the inventory that will pull all the items into alphabetical order (except for those you have locked in place, also at the top of the inventory window). Keep at it (for the love of Pete keep at it).
I think its funny that although Simon is typically viewed as the angriest Associate (always be D&As first in my book lol) he'ss arguably the most wholesome when playing games on his own. Love this Simon, thanks for the play-through
Aint no way Simon doesn't know how to 7 days after 8 years.
Simon missing all the sounds, not just the zombie but the floor falling out behind him too, is just so Simon. It’s even better that it was his storage box too.
He's really good at being a senior citizen
Some tips for Simon:
The key on the wall unlocks locked exit doors in the POI, so you don't always have to break through them.
Pressing R in containers takes all items out of it(if you have the inventory space) and closes it, this is useful for looting and scooting. The arrows in the inventory screens sort, and the boxes either store all or store like for organizational purposes.
It's typically better to use non-power attacks unless you have points in the skill tree for your combat type, as they use less stamina and you may need stamina to run away.
If you don't think you can keep running away, most zombies can't do anything to you if you are on a nerd pole of 2 blocks(they can stack and hit you, but you should be able to recover stamina or build higher once you are 2 blocks up). It may be wise to put some early points into parkour to be able to jump 2 blocks high and use naturally spawned structures in houses to catch your breath when overwhelmed.
If you aren't too overwhelmed, you can tell an enemy died based on xp received in the bottom right corner.
Most POIs have a "path" to take and don't require you to break any doors or blocks, though some drop you into pits you have to fight in before getting to the unlock keys.
It didn't matter this time since you died, but you had some injuries, arm injuries affect melee attacks and exacerbate as you swing increasing the healing time, leg injuries affect speed/stamina and increases duration if you sprint, jump or fall from too high.
I believe you need to have read a Wasteland Treasures book to get honey from woodcutting, or it may be very rare from stumps.
Press "reload" to stop shooting an arrow
Good general tips. Parkour is a great "getaway" skill.... I'd also add:
Complete your starting quests ASAP! 1) you'll be told where a trader is, and typically also has a town nearby. AND, 2) you get 4 free skill points.
He's been told all this 100 times, it just never sinks in, poor Simon.
@@crashnbyrne yeah..... he needs a sticky note LMAO
By the time Simon bags a chicken, he'll be dead from starvation.
Still amazes me how Simon doesn't retain basic 7D shortcuts and exploits even after all these years. His brain is just too jam-packed with shit like "aprons" and "herringbone."
And sandwiches
Yes Simon and flooring. Every time Simon refers to flooring I think of George Clooney Character In burn after reading. "These floors are beautiful what are they? Is that parquet?"
That's some good crown molding right there.
I am amazed that someone who has spent hundreds of hours in this game by now, can still be so .. well, Simon-like at it.
Harvesting birds with a knife is the best way to get feathers.
Edit: another tip, if you managed to knock down a zombie switch to the stone hatchet and keep hitting them in the face. Stone hatchet take very little stamina to swing even if the damage is low.
Another tip for you Simon, Build the Pipe Rifle ASAP, its way easier to shoot chickens with the Single shot Pipe rifle than a bow. If your lucky you might get a scope for the pipe rifle. Even better.
An old dog learned the trick finally. Simon keep it going.
A wise man once said "when you learn, you win".👍
It may help to stop power attacking, jumping, running unnecicerily, and using stamina heavy weapons. If you keep needing to run away, use a club so you don't use all your stamina in power attacks. Also, if you keep panicking and running around like a crazy person, the same thing will keep happening. Check you corners in each room. Learn from the mistakes you make, don't just get frustrated. Love you, and hope you survive 😊
Another 7 Days to Die series...today...today is a good day. Get em Simon
This one won't last long. Why does he need to practice? Does this mean he might of died a third time now in the horrible culdesac map
Hey Simon rule of thumb for Feathers, firm rule to check every nest you come across while your still using a bow.
Hitting the empty nest after will get you more feathers, right?
@@garysmith3037 Not anymore. I believe A21 changed it so the nest auto-deletes once you fully loot it.
@@SixShooter14 Potentially you still can but it's not really worth the effort. Just check the nest but don't take anything, then destroy it, then collect the backpack it leaves behind.
@@garysmith3037 I think once you empty a nest it self destructs. But if there is an egg in the nest with feathers, take feathers leave egg, then hitting the nest will give you more feathers and leave the eggs in a back pack on the ground.
Hearing & watching u play simon, is always a pleasure ❤
Pinkie - "Because when you learn, you win." Then absolutely doesn't learn how to not waste an arrow.
Tbf I don't know either 😅
THICK WOULD BE SO PROUD of simon now!!! lets go simon
Got myself an asus rog ally last thanksgiving it was the first time playing alpha 14.5 on console. Give the guy a break! Even izprebuilt has to start somewhere. For all we know he may turn out to be the best 7dtd player ever 😂 🤞👏
This is what i love. Watching Simon play.
He's a gamer!
Simon has made plenty of improvement and there is lots of room to grow. Love ya, buddy!
Yayyyy Simon's 7 days to die solo series!!!!!! Go simon!!!!!!!!!
This could be the greatest series EVER!
Love it. Get em Simon!
Something magical about watching someone who has played this game for years finally learn to play this game.... that's not what's happening with simon... but when it does happen it's magical.
The song that you have tagged, takes you to some crazy Indian wedding video 😂
Watching him break the door down to exit the loot room and then find the key later was hilarious. He still has no idea what that key was there for.
the amount of hours he has into this game and still plays like he's a first timer is amazing.. Go Simon
Amazingly boring. I literally fell asleep.
@@Pablo_Escobearto each their own. Simon has come a long long way from what he would be doing when he first started playing.
@@boxytunic4143Appsro: "Hit space bar!"
This could possibly be the funniest 7dtd series ever. I so needed this today.
Please be a daily upload
simon really loves that sledgehammer doesnt he...
He does and it's just such an awful melee compared to literally everything else. Especially for his play-style (always relying on stamina).
I can watch Simon play any game for hours.
They don't call him "Solo Simon" for nothing! 10/10
Simon my man flying solo, this going to be good
This is amazing. Simon is the BEST gamer ever!
Press R to sheath arrow Simon and tbh it's easier to chase a chicken down and beat it to death early on with a club just make sure your stamina bar is full before you start running. I usually club a dozen chickens to death on my way to the trader at the start.
Broken arm, concussion, infection, 11 health and still swinging like a champ! Thick would be proud, human man warriror!
Simon, never stop gaming the way you do..
i dont know how you play what you do but i LOVE watching it happen..🤣
"im gonna getcha. ARGH AH DAMNIT !!" 🤣 says it all
I do love these 'chill Simon' playing 7 days. Low stress, high fun. Hope there's more to come :)
Today, HOPEFULLY Simon realizes the Sledge is a red herring of a weapon and utterly useless, no matter what version. A level 5 bone knife probably does more damage.
I wouldn't say useless at all, maybe on day one, but it is pretty good once you have some stamina.
.... And there's the problem... Lol. 💜😍🇬🇧😁
I read the title, and it reminded me of when simon ran into his glass house 😂😂 was just watching the hordenight supercut last night
I love seeing Simon soloing, getting some experience in. He's doing pretty good in the Horde Every Night series, but glad he's going back for more.
"it's OK, u win when u learn".... 😂
Simon has gotten so much better! Love to see it
Can't wait for more of this, I want at least 100 episodes, and then a super cut. Get on it Simon
TEAM SIMON GO GO GO!
"Bones of questionable integrity,
stars abound, my mind foggy. Imminent death creeping in, a meal is found. Snake to fist, I claim my pounds." - The Late Night Genius 🌙 Simon.
Game on brother, game on!
I can't help but root for Simon. I love a good underdog story, and it is always fun to watch him succeed.
You know.... After the bloodbath of the other 7D2D stuff, this is nice and calm. I'm enjoying it. Go Simon, go!
You can harvest animals with a pickaxe. And create a knife with five bones. 17:40
This is pure art. It's beautiful. ❤
Lol. I absolutely love how every time he plays is like his first experience.
Simon is way more of a pro gamer than he lets on. He can absolutely hold his own.
I'm glad Simon is putting in solo time. He has played so long but doesn't understand a lot. I think its just a function of playing with the crew and them doing stuff without his awareness of when and why and how you do things. Like building a forge and workstations. Knowing that Stone sledge is always bad 😢. Or realizing you have to knock out that starter quest and you get sent to a trader.
I need more episodes. This was hilarious! What a great way to learn honestly. Great job Simon :)
This is what the world needs atm...Simon soloing 7 days. Haven't laughed this hard for a long time
I really hope Simon doesn’t get bored of this I love it even if he dies a lot I’m down to watch him get to day 100
Right as Simon gets killed by Darlene, queue displate commercial. Best commercial break ever.
How is it that Simon can last so long in Horde Night Every Night but die so quickly here just messing around? LOL Simon, I love you bro!!! Also, keep an eye out for those "hidden" spots where the floor, vents or wall tiles are wrinkly.
Simon, a hint about feathers, try to watch inside a birdnest, don't took what is inside and crush it with the stone axe instead ---> you take feathers for the birdnest and then the look ;)
Same stuff about bags, trash and so on..
I love Simon's solo work - He's had quite a bit of solo practice and it shows especially in the 'Horde night every night', beat Neebs (Loser) and keeping up with Dora im rooting for Simon
I really enjoy the solo gaming videos this channel offers in comparison to the normal group stuff. Seeing the guys play things by themselves is amazing. I would personally love to see a long dark series with appsro or dora.
This i what ive been waiting for. A seven days to die series with simon. FINALLY!!!!!
Worth every second. Simon you made my day man.
Not going to lie when I heard Simon’s voice I got so excited and can’t wait to see what this holds, hopefully it’s a series!
Love the practice runs. Does my heart good to see Simon digging in and learning a game.
I had happy tears in my eyes watching this in between laughs. Love you so damn much, Simon. My NY brethren, your upstate buddy Mellow is so glad to see more solo content from ya. Can't wait for the next episode. I read the title in the same voice you used in your glass house from alpha 16, lol. Cheers. 🍻🩷
A majestic Simon in the wild, so good to see.
This was hilarious. Crazy to see the progress from years ago to now... he's gotten better but still confused easily.
"It's the one that looks like Thick, if I'm not mistaken." Ah, I think this every time I see one of those zombies!
Poor Simon, gotta stop using that big hammer!
It's so much fun watching Simon play games. he sure does make the rest of us feel like we know what we are doing. What is so fascinating when watching Simon is that we all started off this way, and what's also amazing is no matter how long he plays a game it's seems all new too him. Great game play Simon, and never change old fella.
I want more of this so bad. Great job!
"Of course I have a concussion, of course I do..."... 😂
Oh, Simple Simon, you never cease to amaze, man. When you play this, I think of it as 7 Minutes to Die. 😂
As soon as i saw that its Simon playing i popped a Xanax
Love Simon content. Proud of how far he's come in gaming terms.
So proud that you are learning on your own!! For all the suggestions I want to scream at the screen, I'm just happy that you are sharing your journey with us. Let's go Simon !!
ill be watching this series for sure. pump them out fast!
SOLID GOLD, SIMON!! I can tell you loved doing this. Keep it up!
Hit the zombies when they fall Simon! You will kill them a lot faster, and always use the strong hit, the weak one is pretty useless. You will just have to manage your stamina, also find/make coffee or mega crush, it will help by giving a stamina boost. The club is what I find to be the best weapon in the early stages, the sledge takes too much energy.
If you do the missions in the top right of the screen, it will end up showing you where the nearest trader is and they are normally in a town or close by.
Him punching the snake was definitely a highlight 😂
Doin great Simon. Keep it up.
Some pointers. The sledge is a good weapon but it requires stamina. Put levels into strength, and the sledge skill to decrease how much stamina t costs. Chop every stump you see for a chance at honey.
I could literally watch Simon play anything
Active key rack - unlocks a locked door. In this case you’d already destroyed the door so it did nothing.
(The doors cannot be re-locked later so you’d have had to destroy it anyway)
I love this man. Simon. I... I... love you so much.
Ok, shenanigans with simon is my new favorite thing I didn't know I needed in my life.
A solo Simon video always warms my heart. Rock on
I'm loving this. I'd love if this was a main channel series.
I love you, Solo Simon. You are my spirit animal. So painfully funny.
Simon, I'm so proud of you. But you need to compensate for your playstyle better.
You are a runner (cause you panic after you get hit once or twice). You can't use a weapon that requires stamina if you're always running...
There are many strategies you can employ. I recommend you take a Neebs play and make it your own (safe areas). Spikes. Frame shape blockades. Use narrow channels, stairs, and height to your advantage. Try to sneak and get some arrow shots BEFORE you wake the zombies up. LAY DOWN A BEDROLL RIGHT AWAY!!!
This isn't about permadeath (you have infinite lives), so you need to not worry about dying. You need to worry about developing a playbook and strategy that fits your playstyle.
Simon and Neebs keep this endeavor afloat…
Yes! My favourite game and my favourite Neebs guy! Good luck, Simon!
This is the series we didn't know we needed. Love you Simon
Watching this is a joy knowing he somehow outlasted Neebs in the Cul-de-sacked series
