I love watching Simon get better at this game. I think the Horde Every Night really helped, and watching him just having fun is great
Indeed. It's like watching a toddler grow up. He has to repeat anything he learns at least 60-100 times before his brain retains the knowledge. But hey... If we wanted to watch an adult play the game somewhat competently, we wouldn't watch Simon.
Right? I was thinking the same thing when it went night time and he was like “should I be smart and hide? Or have some fun” EVERY GAMERS DILEMMA!

It is fascinating watching Simon play a game he's been playing for years.... and he's still learning the basics.
Exactly! The others have allowed him to be crap at the games. When we lost Thick44 I seriously thought Simon would step up and be better at the games, but he didn't. While I find it difficult to watch this series, I'm encouraged that he seems to be trying to improve his skills as a gamer.
People take this stuff far too seriously. This is not a channel about skilled gamers, it's just people trying games and having fun. There are endless other channels of pro gamers playing this stuff, go there if it bothers you so much

for what it's worth these guys play games with a different mindset than most people. they are looking for dramatic things, looking to position themselves, each other and the object of focus to create entertainment. it used to be more obvious that they were entertainers before gamers. go back to earlier show supercuts and you'll hear they guys mention "they should have cut ages ago" "we need to be more entertaining" " nobody wants to watch us sit around in the dark" etc. there's a point in valheim where a troll starts wrecking simon when he's in another scene because it's valheim and it doesn't care if your recording something elsewhere

Simon. You were severely dehydrated the orange flashing tear drop icon meant you were dehydrated causing you to lose stamina much quicker pace and gain it at a much lower pace, drinking that water was the best thing you did.

The chicken @16:35 had me rolling. I am so glad you drank that water by accident! I was internally screaming that that was why your stamina wasn't going up. You can totally make that stone place your hoard night base, by default you can have 3 claim blocks active at once.
Simon my brother, keep your food and drink bar more than halfway full at all times or your stamina regen will be garbage! Keep it up man, love watching this!
lol. He doesn’t even know what the “bars” are!! He keeps going to his status screen to see how much food and water he has. He has no idea they are displayed below toolbar and his exp is above. Can’t wait until he gets to level 6 and can’t make tea or meat because he hasn’t read the magazine!!

Simon, you need a cooking magazine. Cooking skill 6 is what you need
Simon, something to ALWAYS use. You can throw the torch down on the flat ground , or against any wall or object. Carry the torch to see , and if a zombie comes , throw down the torch ,pull out your weapon , and fight in the light so you can see. You NEVER have to be without light in 7 Days. Just throw the torch down , and pick it up when done.

Hey Simon, I really enjoy these episodes. I am glad that you are trying to learn. I wished these were livestreams, because I almost yelled at my monitor more than once. LOL
Drink more than one water when you are very dehydrated, which is indicated by the orange waterdrop on the left bottom. When you are dehydrated, it decreases your stamina.
Also, read the prompts that appear above your hotbar. They often explain what is going on.
Way to go SIMON ! OMG ... Zombies are breaking spikes outside, he has his door wide open , and stuck in a menu. Simon is giving me gray hair. OMG ..." I got balls , but I want to be smart, ..." Make some candles and put them around the outside of your base. Candles attract zombies less than torches. Staying hydrated in the early game is hard. Being dehydrated really hurts your stamina. I have NEVER found a pistol in the toilet in the game. But then, I am not Simon.

I had random gen world where trader jens bathroom toilet had a pistol everytime. I deleted it as I like the early game most and it made it too easy.
9mm toilet guns is my fav thing in the game.
Loot some toilets in the Wasteland.
I Find a toilet pistol almost every run. but I habitually search them for water.
NGL, I wasn't expecting Dora to outlast Simon in Cul-De-Sacked. But now we can have Neebs AND Simon bugging Dora.
I imagine that series will end VERY shortly.
Not because Dora can't hang in for quite awhile if he wanted to but because they are moving to new projects and it's time for that one to end.
Honestly I'd bet good money, it's already ended (and has been for some time) we just haven't seen it yet.
@@Metalgarnyes of course it's been done for a while. They usually played a few games at once. Its easier to edit that way. I would say that Dora gave up though since he only has one life left. It will look unintentional I'm sure but we all know it was done because it would take so much for appsro to not win it with all his lives left. It was a good idea though can't lie about that. I like the one off series they do. Like aloneish plus they are doing season 2 of Darkness Falls. Khaine I believe will be in all of it. He was talking the other day that they had asked him to join if they want. Plus since he's made some changes to it I would think it will make for even more great content!!! I think we should start a poll as well to see how many times him and Dora kill each other hahahaha. I can't remember how that dtarted but I love that they continue to do it!!!

He actually hates this game lol. He's said it numerous times.
Simon playing this solo is magical, it's cool to see him surviving and having fun. It's the 1 game I always get excited to start a new map or to even watch someone else play idk what it is. If I we're to give you 1 tip Simon it would be to put points into parkour, for me it's the best solo perk to go for it gets you up and out of trouble very fast and allows 3 high horde base walls or 9x9 3 tall solid pads to bounce around on 🤙
Bacon and eggs are the only worthwhile use for eggs early on. Water is precious early on until you can make other drinks with it, or you have multiple dew collectors. Scrap everything you are not going to use to save space.
Simon never scraps anything. His logic is you never know when you're going to need it. Which in a way makes really good sense lol.

Be sure to check egg recipes. You will see, "bacon & Eggs." You will need raw meat and eggs. They make a really good food source.
The fact simon is actually learning to get the end loot is a major improvement on his part!!! He used to leave right as he was about to get to the end loot!!!

You gotta work on that dew collector Simon for which you likely need to buy the water filter from the trader. Its really expensive until you quest some. The murky waters and drinks you find don't come frequent enough so usually I'm racing to build it. Unless you are raiding pois just for drinks. I really don't get comfortable until I have 2 or 3 dew collectors or find a purifier mod. Good job collecting that cloth!
Removing empty jars was really unsmart.
I'm walking around downtown, IRL, right now and can, literally, find a container to collect water in within 50 feet.
In fact, there's a yogurt container on the ground 20 feet away and a water filled ditch just beyond that.

keep in mind if you wanna rock the sledge hammer you need at all times keep your water to the max as much as you can because it helps a lot with stamina regeneration. Love you Simon your improving slowly but you got way better then before bud, i mean you outlasted Neebs, i thought you would have been first but even at that, day 33 none stop horde, do you see what i mean AND DARKNESS FALLS. Bravo for your overall huge improvement!!!

I bought 7d2d for my Xbox One cuz of these guys and Glock 9. Looks like I’ll be getting an Xbox X when the updated game drops. Love watching Simon play!
Update shoukd be this summer from what Glock said. Then it will be another 2 years before the next alpha is updated lol it sucks for console that they don't update it like they do on pc

Keep an eye out for a helmet light mod. With it installed in your helmet, you can see much better at night and inside of buildings, and you don´t have to whip out the torch so often.

I’m sure these are recorded in advance but a couple of things. You have to find and read the books for recipes like red tea, your level doesn’t matter. Heavy armor drains your stamina faster, might not be great paired with the sledgehammer (unless you put points into heavy armor, sledgehammers, or cardio. That little foot in the corner means you are regenerating stamina faster. Complains it’s so dark and has nvg in your inventory lol. You don’t have to put things into your hot bar to open them or to drink/eat.
Red Tea 5/6 -- This means you have found 5 COOKING MAGAZINES. Find one more (6th) and it (and grilled meat) will unlock.
All of the crafting stuff works like that now.
Charred Meat, Baked tater, grilled corn all mak you parched (-5 hydration). Your raw eggs, however, do not.
You should consider drinking wooter when the arange wooter drop shows up on the left edge of your screen. It helps your stamina.

This is actually a fairly common place to find a pistol outside of a weapons bag/safe. (I do NOT mean you find them there commonly, just that its the 3rd/4th highest spawn rate)

Simon plays this game like my ex wife: refusing to eat or drink and then whining about their bad stamina and low health.
Says she doesn't want anything and, then, eats all your stuff. 😂
It's best to empty your inventory completely before heading out. Always eat and drink beforehand and avoid carrying excess food. Stick to essentials like weapons, medical supplies, and ammo - only what you truly need. And harvasting birds give you 30 feathers each! 😁
