This movie brings back some many nostalgic moments for me. I use to laugh at Jack when hand his knife in his hand, like he could really stop one of the 3 storms! You know what old jack burton says in a time like this! Ole Jack says What The Hell!!
For a movie with 1986 CGI, that lightning looks remarkably believable.
That's not CGI. They did that stuff without computers in the 80s.

technically, that's not _really_ Raiden. just a character that _inspired_ Raiden.
I remember being 100% convinced Raiden looked exactly like the guy from this movie when I first played Mortal Kombat. I am honestly surprised there are any differences, haha.
This movie put it in your head that this is the norm in San Francisco community and they where in shock to realize they have no business ever being around one of many street fights. That's real Hollywood! RIP

Yea!!!!!!!! This is where it all started! I must have been 12 when I saw this movie and I’m 47 and still quote the words from this movie…….whatever he said before doing the front flip and throwing the knives, I still say that until this day! My sons heard me and were like, “what you say dad??”

it's a time capsule. we don't need a sequel, just watch it again and see if there's anything you missed. or just watch a newer film that's different.
The Rock was supposed to be in the reboot of this, but I guess it never got to pre production
From what I heard they still are pushing to make a new version, but it would be more of a sequel instead of a reboot. But apparently they've been having some issues getting it approved. Honestly idk that I would want a new version unless it was kurt Russell. I like the rock but get tired of every action movie pushing him on us

it's Yeun but yeah Dennis Dun does look a little bit like him. It's kind of funny, he's the real hero of this movie while Kurt Russell is just a dumb hot guy along for the ride. I'm sure that's been talked about before.

@@nico55544 I was thinking that when I wrote the comment, but when the made the OG mortal kombat games Fujin and Rain didn't exist, or didnt exist as we see them, and edd Boone has said he use the three storms as biases for multiple mortal kombat characters
