I personally hate people who dislike Pat Smear. Like, leave him alone, he could definitely not sing as good as Cobain, but he did the job. Kurt Cobain had him in the band because he liked him, and of course because he was talented.
As a young man, I was a Pat Smear hater simply because I didn't know anything about him and he seemed like this weird interloper in a band that, in my head, was supposed to be a 3 piece rock outfit and that's it. Now that I'm older, I can look back and tell that young man to stfu. Pat is a really talented guitar player, and he was brought in so that the band would have a richer and fuller sound when they played live. The shows he performed in ended up being some of the best the band ever played. Also, obviously Kurt wanted him there, and if you think you know better than Kurt did, you're probably really egotistical.
Definitely, not. Heaven is heavier than Hell. That is all anyone is ever concerned about when it comes to this band of Idiots and Lunatices, I know it's not an English word, since I made it up! The 90s was all about Style and little else, which is why, millennials are victims of their parents indiscretion in the bedroom, and was never about peace, love, or flowers, and all of that other hippie-don bull-shit. Clinton is just lucky that he wasn't President during the "Me TOO" era, or else, the raging brigade of tribal gender warriors and radical Fems (who would like to kill man if it was allowed under the law governing the state, province, territory, or country like Valerie Solanas, radical Feminist, founder of SCUM - Society for Cutting Up Men, who dedicated her life to worshipping Andy Warhol - a man that is similar in some aspects of his personality (passive-aggressive, hypochondriac perhaps, depending on one's judgement, but both definitely mentally-ill) and then shooting him into oblivion in order to gain respect among the '60s male gay chauvinist New York art collective intelligentsia Lower-East Side, of finks and so-called pop(alar) commercial artists and also for fame or infamy, depending on how you perceive the event or to the degree you believe her. - would have good ol' Bill, womanizing, creepy, sexual deviant sex addict locked away to never see the light of day again.
This is my favorite Nirvana concert. To me, the concerts which have just the three members don't sound as full and as hard and as good. With Pat there it just makes the music rich and deep and full and provides power cords and layers while Kurt is playing lead.

The guitar solo sounded SO GOOOOD. This song will always have a special place in my heart
Pat smears voice in the back made this 100% better🤩
Disagree
No, Dave much better
polite no
@Yağız Estay Kara I can definitely hear it lol have u tried listening on headphones?
@Yağız Estay Kara listen from 3:30 it's pretty audible imo
The electricity that I felt while watching this was amazing!
Krist always had a monster Ampeg-ish bass tone. Growl for days. Honesty one of the best rock bass tones I've ever heard.
Insane amount of pure energy, big artists!
Kurt is so handsome 😻
Having lived as a teen in the 90s, this song flips the pages of the memory scrapbook. Gotta love Nirvana.
Same here bro. Class of '92
I remember this as a kid ....I remember coming home from school and my uncle Ferni was watching it live I sat at the table and did my homework watching this guy ...very Kool 🤘
The vocals are so amazing the way kurts the normal the controlled face of the feeling but pats the demon in the back of his mind thats real grotesque feeling
I remember watching this live like it was yesterday. Now I’m old and bored
Yes, you are...
Serve the servants
Hopefully that teenaged angst paid off well
You must be really bored now!
Hello COVID-19, how bored are you now and what day is it?
I wore a nirvana hoodie to my school back in 8th grade or something, and these kids from my class literally asked if it was the song that went nirvana oh-nana.
to this day i still pray for those poor souls
zoomers
Oh nana? What song even is that?
You got this joke from the youtube vid by gabzitohd
@@ads7686 what joke?
@@inutero3516 you know what im talkin about
Nirvana has spent so much time in my life.. which actually feels strange when I realise i have spent exactly zero time in theirs😏
I miss Kurt every day. Thank you Nirvana for being such good friends to me.. helping me through bad times, rocking with me through the good, and partying with me through the hazy days. I love you all❤️🕊️🙏
Wanna hear some New Grunge? Check us out
Every time I see Nirvana I am reminded of how great Cobains vocal really was.
GUY on Guitar and backing Vocals is fcking AWESOME
that's Pat Smear, a current member of the Foo Fighters
and yes he is awesome
Also from The Germs
Krist's bass tone is fantastic here.
All of Kurts songs are awesome. He could get anyone to play along and it wouldv'e sounded great. It was the songwriting genius in him that made his band sound great.
I think Kurt Cobain is one of the most authentic people who ever lived. Who could forget his songwriting, his voice, his blonde hair and blue eyes, his beautiful empathetic soul. There is just no one like him. Nirvana was one of the greatest rock bands ever.
Literally can't agree any more!
NIRVANA forever♡
Yeah look at the Unplugged gig. Dude was at the height of his fame and instead of just playing crowd pleasing fan favourites he was covering all the obscure but awesome bands who influenced him and even got Meat Puppets up on stage to play three whole songs with his band. Absolute legend.
Курт, ты навсегда в моем сердце))) Начиная с 1992 и до сих пор)) Твоя музыка в моем телефоне ежедневно))) Для меня - ты величайший))))
Плюсик сестра)
This was an absolutely amazing concert from Nirvana that cold winter night in 1993 in Seattle Washington. Even though Pearl Jam couldn't play their performance that night,Nirvana definitely made up for it! What an amazing performance from Nirvana. All those guys was on top of their game that night.
No matter how many times I listen to this song, it will never get old :)
Dave's drumming on this one is top notch
1:22 i like how dave play the cymbal so smooth
Nirvana always gave their best in Live ❤
Not always xd. U see that live when Kurt scream "Come as u are"
Seattle's music Era in the rock'n'roll hall of fame...legends never die
Epic live.. Just Epic. Dave and Pat for the second voices.. fantastic, perfect
Kurt's eyes look like empty blue oceans
Ikr, sooo pretty and deeply but greatly tormented...... If that makes sense 🤘💙💚❤
@B LT wtf
@B LT well that was uncalled for
that's heroin.
Bro. If you ever been in the nod zone. You are unfazed by anything that rolls your way. I was way deep into the china swamp and it's a killer. ..
Pat's backing vocals are what make this video for me! Pure power! 🤘🤘🤘
Love the dude who’s on stage at 2:19 not harassing the band just happy to be there
FRR LMAO
Today marks 30 years since Kurt's death, we still miss you, rest in peace legend.
The most random upload ever, I'm not complaining though 😍
It’s not a random upload, they’re posting the Live and Loud videos, because today Live and Loud releases on Vinyl. So it’s a sort of promo thing I guess,
@@KurtCobain94677 I meant in as surprise
Kurt Cobain94677 wait- there was 94676 cobains before you?
I personally think pat smear did amazing. this sounds great.
I agree completely! I think his part fit perfectly and I enjoyed it
Yeah I love it too, a lot of people says that he's out of key and stuff like that, but for me it makes the song more twisted and insane.
Nah. Never liked Smear's addition to the line up. They were much better as a three piece
@@ringtail6670 to each there own. Guess it doesn't really matter now anyway.
@@ringtail6670 You dont like a fuller sound that includes 2 harmony parts from Grohl and Pat? I.e. the sound from the actual record? You seem like a bit of a clown then :)
The amount of talent in this band at this point was unreal, three great singers and song writers, Krist was great too, they hadn't even begun to write the incredible music they could have, they had minimum 3 to 4 more masterpiece albums, who knows how many more if they were still together... really sad.
If one day we can go to alternate dimensions, we'll get to listen to the other 3/4 records.
Good god this is amazing...Dave's drumming is amazing and he's already singing here...Never knew Pat could sing. the best Nirvana line up.........Kurt is good here and I love how he was humble enough to bring Pat in as a 2nd guitar player
I love how a random person from the audience jumps on the stage, dances, and jumps off the stage, wish that was me.
Kurt, the only dude that could make live sound better than studio recording
Le Ravo not the only dude, dude
And Billie Joe
I preffer queen...
And Ozzy Osbourne
Metallica
This was cool. Well performed. Crazy earlier era was way diff. So much energy transferred it was off the charts. Saw them in Seattle from 89 through the end.
I love how they sound just as good live as they do recorded
The 8 people gave it a thumbs down is only one person....Axl Rose...
Axl liked Nirvana
Kurt hated him
@@zdrkp2878 Kurt had no problen with him. Guns n roses wanted to tour with them but they declined because they were cookie cutter corporate sellouts. (Or something like that) and kurt was against bands like that. So then behind the scenes they had a feud and axl even threatened to fight kurt cobain.
Spencer Foust Kurt didn’t like Axl rose because he was and I quote, “a fucking sexist and a racist and a homophobe”
Spencer Foust actually Kurt did have a problem with Axl, he saw GNR as a sexist band that was against everything he stood for. Axl did like nirvana and wanted to tour. Kind of ironic how Kurt claimed GNR to be corporate sell outs when both bands were on the same label but whatever, it’s in the past.
if a time machine is invented within my lifetime the one thing i would do first is literally go back to 1993 and watch this show
I could save kurt, first of all
Just one concert man. Just one. MTV Unplugged would be sweet.
Hope there's some crazy 'Doc' out there working hard on it lol.
I never ever get sick of Nirvana songs . From Ireland 🇮🇪
Kurt Cobain and his voice will last a lifetime and beyond. There has only been one Kurt, and many have tried to copy but failed. His voice is unique, one of a kind.
youre right Blaze, just unique!!!!
