This was a dark time for the Chiefs. From 2007-2012, they were a laughingstock outside of one fluky season. It's amazing how much Andy Reid turned that franchise around
@cesar9496 Yeah that was right before this time period. The Dick Vermeil-Trent Green era produced some great offenses, but their defenses were always terrible
This 2008 team just straight up didn’t care about the QB position entering the year following a disappointing 4-12 season in 2007 To no surprise they go 2-14 with Tyler Thigpen, Brodie Croyle, and a veteran Damon Huard.
@@Mr.PoliticallyIncorrect oh yeah them Tony Gonzales days. Herm Edwards was coach too right? Man it’s been so long but those were some great NFL days. Miss that era.
The 2008 Dolphins had one of the five best single season turnarounds in NFL history. From being a punchline at 1-15 in 2007 to 11-5 and AFC East Champions in 2008. Their defense along with their rushing offense was phenomenal that season.
People forget just how great Jamaal Charles was. He was destined to be a HOF player if it weren’t for those freakish injuries he suffered during the last years of his career.
dude put up 1,500 yards for a 2-14 team while having just torn his acl the season before. and it wasn't even the most impressive running back accomplishment that year as adrian peterson torched the league for 2k yards after his own acl tear. charles would probably be better remembered if not for that
I remembered when Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown was sharing playing time and they enjoyed playing with each other. I feel the Dolphins are gonna be interesting to watch this Sunday.
@@seanw99I was at that game. If I recall it was -10F outside and tickets were dirt cheap. We lost the game on a last second FG by Ryan Succup. Lots of upset fans that sat through that cold.

I remember watching this game, so much fun as a Dolphin's fan, but yeah this was a rough period for KC before Andy and Mahomes turned the team into the juggernaut they are now.
Fun fact.. chad Pennington lost the Punt, Pass, kick competition to a 12 yr old Maria Rodriguez. She actually only under threw his score by 7 yards and demolished him in the kicking competitions. She won dolphins season tickets as a result .
100% correct. Bill Bellichick was nothing before Tom Brady... and Andy Reid was nothing before Patrick Mahomes. A coach is only as good as the players on the field.
💥💥To be honest with you I've never heard of that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback ever Tyler thigpen who the heck is that. I used to be a die-hard NFL football fans in my early 20s during this time Madden franchise, NFL 2K, nfl fever franchise mode. I knew the majority of all the players from every team for the most part who the heck is Tyler thigpen?

@cesar9496 Yep Tony Gonzalez too. They put up alot of yards, but didn't win any playoff games. Edwards was hired in 2006 and got fired after 2008.
Tyler Thigpen honestly had flashes of excellence in 08. However the team always found a way to blow leads
As a chiefs fan, I remember being mad after this game. That’s what I remember more than any other detail about the game
This is from 2008 but looks like it was filmed in 1988
I honestly said “Why does this look like it was captured in the 90’s?”
The Dolphins nowadays have a much more sustainable offense than they did in 2008 despite having a potent 1-2 combo of Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.
Remember 2008-09 was a season turn around for Miami Dolphins after the year before that horrible 2007-08 1-15 season
The year of the wildcat offense
You in another classic video !
Our offense sucks against good teams
Ronnie Brown Auburn great back when him and Cadillac were both top 5 picks in same year
2-14. It can’t be overstated what a job Andy Reid has done.

A young Jamal Charles and that Wildcat offense for awhile had defenses shook 👀

Those were two of the most disrespectful blocks by that Chiefs lineman 😂😂

Probably the quietest Arrowhead's ever been.
Dick Enberg the best announcer in history of the NFL

This was at the time Miami ran that wildcat play to success under Tony Sparano
Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams,Jammal Charles and Larry Johnson 💪
When the commentators quacked at Thigpen's floater at the end of the first half😆😆

Rest in peace tony sporono. Almost wrote tony sopranos.
This is pretty much the game we hope to see this week.
Chad Pennington’s last hurrah season. One week later, he gets revenge by beating Brett Favre and the Jets to claim the division title.
The NFL needs to put out the 2008 week 3 game between the dolphins and Patriots and title it "The Wildcat's DOMINANT Debut"
Miami please start using the old logo again
I feel like Miami will make this Sunday game more interesting than ever, let's go Miami!
