As a Die Hard Crown fan, I dont know which Hammer Drop I like better, This one, Relentless, It is, Out of this world or Inferno......Sheesh... So many to choose from!!!!! Let's go Crown!!!!
@@MrMuchachos75 I’m curious as to your background, what you do for a living, who you marched with, what instruments you play, if you’ve ever interacted with the Harloffs, etc.? Anyone with that much hatred for a person or group must have a reason.
@@fatfloppa3919 just an observation for all the people who think they know what power sounds like. 20 years ago they took that from us. I'll never forget. But I'm just an old fart, ignore me.
Ah the whirring of amplifiers. Am I getting ready to see a punk band? Nope, this is what dci has become. Most shows use the horn line as an accompanist to the spit coming out of the speakers.
What you are hearing is the sound of the stadium lights at Gardner-Webb University, not the amplifiers. I was there a year before and they are annoying.
Just play the rest of the Carolina on my mind tag. It’s a tease to start with it and then throw the hammer down with random high brass and chord progression. I never understood this about crown. Their lots are too technical and not fun. Play your corps song, play the promise of living, play the chandelier tag, play something to loosen up, instead you drop the hammer with a weird chord progression every year. I love crown but never enjoyed their horn lots because so uptight.
Homie it’s gods hornline for a reason they are without fail the best hornline each and every year. You can’t not enjoy this it’s literally their staple
also this is more valuable than their corps song to a lot of the people. I can’t tell you the corps song for any corps except blue devils. But I know for a fact almost ever dci fan knows crowns hammer drop
@@goldfishkaden1539 really? you don't know cavies' rainbow? or spirit's georgia? or madison's may you never walk alone? those are iconic, historic songs played by those corps, most people who follow the activity are familiar with them
@mark lacheta it is fine to have this opinion but I am not ever going to criticize Matt Harloff's process for making this hornline what it is. The hammer drops are always specific chord progressions from the show to perfect the tuning
It always amazes me with how they just kept getting louder and continued to be centered and full as an ensemble
One of the best teachers in all of DCI. He gets the most out of the kids every year. It's all about the FOCUS!!
Not a teacher
Not dci either
@@MrMuchachos75 damn, Crown's not DCI anymore?
@@bradenlockett5683 Matt Harloff absolutely is a teacher. What about him makes him not a teacher?
@@MrMuchachos75 This is drum corps, stop being cringe
dude, thats like, almost better than 2017
nothings better than ‘17

Lol
OOOH that sharp 4 in the second to last chord got me! Goosies all over
Same here
is that 2nd Baritone playing it?
My God! Does any other Hammer Drops like Carolina Crown? I got goose bumps.
I threw up
That release at 2:44!
With such a powerful and great playing horn line it makes one wonder why they screw up the sound with all the electronics and voice overs. SMH
This will never not be amazing
i just saw their show in murfreesboro, it is amazing!
That gave me the chills bruh
Think I've played every recording on stinktube and they all are amazing!!!
RAHHHHH yeaaa! RAHHH yeaaaaaa! RAHHHHHHHHHHH
RAAHHHHHH
That sounds a heck of a lot like Cavaliers 2002 ballad.
Yeah, the progressions are similar!
Oh stop. Clean out your ears
@@MrMuchachos75 What? It's the same chord progression.
Straight chills.
Wow!
those overtones!
Especially using Bb's......
gods hornline
I love crowns horns but please stop with this comment!
Oh my god. 2:40 🙈🙈
That guys reaction at 2:51 was priceless
Lol thats me
I love you.
My g-d that's good, i'd recognize that bald head anywhere.
Yea. Mr Ego. Writes shit no one can remember or even want to remember
@@MrMuchachos75I remember all of it and I’m glad
Cannot hear the brass when people in the stands are yelling. Too bad
That's why they need amps. G lines overwhelmed crowd noise.
Now do the last 10 seconds for 12 minutes and we've got some entertainment
BD definitely better this year
it's still early season, just appreciate the music man
on what planet bro💀💀💀💀
@@williambarnes8865 youre speaking word of God rn
Why do BD folks always have to be so douchey. Just enjoy it and move on. Sheesh.
It's nice, but G lines blew that away with fewer horns.
They certainly did not.
Yes, they did. Why else did they need to expand the numbers AND add amps? Because it's not powerful enough. Simple.
It's been 20 years move on already
