Thank you Nanelle. Just a tip different pay grades receive different percentages for sat/sun and bank holidays. Just adjust your calculations accordingly. 👍
Nanelle, thank you SO much, this video was INCREDIBLE! I had very little knowledge about anything on my payslip and you explained it in simple language that has really helped me to understand not only my payslip but where to find things like the tax brackets and how to calculate certain things. 😃 I feel much more prepared and confident to evaluate my payslips. My feedback for the video would be 1) Please keep making videos like this - super informative and greatly appreciated! 😊 2) Please can you not put music in the background, or if you do can the volume be lower please. For those with SEND (e.g. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia) it can be very distracting to have additional noise to try and cancel out when you're desperately trying to concentrate on what the presenter is saying, also anything that combines numbers and letters is an added anxiety is difficult without noise, so any other things going on can be quite anxiety-inducing. Peaceful instrumental music might be easier if you still want to have music in your videos. 😀 3) Can you please put the links to the websites you used within the video so that we as learners can refer to them as needed. Again, the video was super informative and I can tell you put so much work into it! Thank you again for taking the time to explain this! Continued blessings to you and everyone you're connected with.🙏🏽😊
You see this particular video Thank you ooo❤ Because even me that payslip confuses me that I have given up. Anything I see I take home 😢 But thank you ☺️
I commented on this video 9months ago, i came back to watch it again today 😂 After receiving NHS Salary for 8months😅 Thanks always Nanelle 😘 I was looking for video's on NHS Pension on your channel, but i couldn't find any 😊
Have worked for 6 months and I resolved not bothering to understand the pay slip again just this Friday when I saw my pay slip 😅😅😅 only to see this video on Monday. You did great 👍🏽 thanks for sharing.
I just started working and I needed every information I got from the video. Thanks a whole lot Nanelle. But I'm yet to understand something. Do I begin to be taxed immediately I begin to receive my pay as an NHS nurse or until I earn up to that £12,570? Because I have been taxed on my first pay.
That was very detailed but what about if your weekends and night shift isn’t added onto the payslip what should I do? Also for newly qualified nurses there’s an overseas nurse deduction should that be ?
Thank you, dear, for the detailed explanation of the payslips .I just want to clarify that the extra other payment rather than basic payment is from the previous months. Is it like that?
Thanks for explaining in details you brought light to my world so I can be more vigilant. The people perish because of lack of knowledge and I shall not perish 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Such an awesome video, it’s been a while since I started working here & no one could actually explain it to me so well. Thx nanelle, ur a life saver.❤ Just one thing more I wanna knw, how do I knw that HMRC has refund my money coz in my initial first month, they put a wrong tax code & I got it corrected later so from 2nd month the code was applied but wat abt the 1st month. They did say it will be refunded but how do I knw whether it was refunded or not? Also if u can explain about the bank shift payslip, would be great as many do not know how they are being paid during bank shifts
Hi thank you for explaining in detail.. Can you please tell me from which date of a month to which date they are calculating as one month? Do they count the working hours from each 26th(date)of a month to the next month 26th?
Is period end date accounted for the total number of hours? For example 28/2/2023 is it included. And how is the outer london allowance calculated as I divide 4313 by 12 it doesnt make sense
Hello Nanelle, I’m new in the UK, I just arrived a week and some days ago, my employer has no work, it’s a new agency we’re her first batch, please how do I switch to NHS as a carer, thanks 🙏
I just want to ask something. I worked for the NHS for 2.5 years as a Band 4 Associate Practitioner before leaving to earn my Masters (I was on the AFC scale). When I go back, will I begin from Day 0 if I go back to being a Band 4 or would it continue from whatever I accrued? Just started applying for jobs again (my thesis is due in 4 weeks)... D=
You can freeze your nhs pension if you are leaving the UK, when you reach the age of retirement you can apply for it. Not state pension, but the Nhs pension
Lemonade finance is charging commission now. They dont send the exact amount when you calculate rate x pounds amount u are sending. They take commission and send less. But they are not telling customers this
My sis used lemonade finance…transaction occurred in less than 2mins fr ….I was surprised 😂 So yes..if you’re seeing this all she said about lemonade is 100% accurate
Wow. Thank you so much for this video, I can now dissect my payslip😂. The video of why we shouldn’t opt out of pension will be appreciated because I have been considering opting out so I can have the extra money🙈
Nanelle you were born to educate! Your explanation is so clear and precise. Thank you. 🥰
Thank you well explained, I am a Band 4, passed my OSCE and still waiting on my Pin, to be paid Band 5
I never usually comment on videos but this was so well explained and helpful. Thank you Angel I can tell you're a lovely Nurse x

I understand everything about my pay slip, you are right on the spot.
Explain the negative earning. This month I got a WTD pay arrears earning of -£191. What does that mean?
Thank you Nanelle. Just a tip different pay grades receive different percentages for sat/sun and bank holidays. Just adjust your calculations accordingly. 👍

Could you do a Scotland one or have you done one. I am struggling 😢
How do you know which dates the payslip includes?
Im not a nurse but a few months i was over taxed by hmrc so its a good to review your payslip.

Thanks
Could you please tell where to find VPD no from the NHS pay slip?
Welldone nanelle
Well explained. Thinking of opting out of NHS pension since am not sure of staying in UK till retirement. What is your advice?
You can freeze your nhs pension if you are leaving the UK,
when you reach the age of retirement you can apply for it. Not state pension, but the Nhs pension
Lemonade finance is charging commission now. They dont send the exact amount when you calculate rate x pounds amount u are sending. They take commission and send less. But they are not telling customers this
