Dave Filoni and Star Wars Rebels literally saved my life. My wife died unexpectedly early into season 2, and I was hurting so badly from it that I was strongly leaning toward unaliving myself. Then came the episode "Legacy" where Ezra learned of his parents' death, and how to continue on, and it inspired me to stay alive and carry out our plans myself. That said, her absence still hurts like a gaping wound, but Rebels helped me find the strength to live. So seeing the crew in live action now . . . especially during the rough time of year (her b-day and death days) . . . feels like the will of the Force in a way. I am one with the Force, and the Force is with me.
I'm so sorry, but she not alone and she one with the Force and I felt inspired by your story let the Force be with you always

Damn, man. That's really heavy. Can't imagine how much you have been through. I'm really glad that you could find a way to be strong through Star Wars. That's what is all about. This is the way. May the Force be with you, always.
stuff like this is always hard to hear/read. reminds me that the stories we hear/tell ourselves/others are more than just what they are as a thing themselves, but because they transcend their meaning when they live in us. -glad we all get to share watching and getting excited together! ^_^

The idea that an established popular character like Ahsoka took in Sabine, another popular and established character, as an apprentice is just such a shocking and yet terrific idea.
unfathomably dope idea. Ahsoka finally getting to be a sensei completes the circle. When we met her, she was just a learner; now she is the master.

That's actually pretty cool and makes sense that Sabine would try to get closer to Ezra in a spirit way way learning the Jedi arts, and also having a Jedi who started not being force sensitivo will be so cool (what Finn should have been)
I was wondering about that too. We didn't see Ahsoka after the World Between Worlds episode but there were years in between the Rebels finale and her reappearance in the final scene of the series. Sabine is holding up her hand in that fight with Shin Hati like she's using the force.
Also if she’s gonna have to hold her own against those dark Jedi, it makes sense to gain more teachings from a “Jedi”.
First Mandalorian trained in Jedi ways in a thousand years. I think the Dark Jedi's Padawan is in deep trouble going up against her. Force or no...
Sabine also did some training with Kanaan and Ezra as well when she had the dark saber. Or am I remembering that wrong?

So glad they let Lars Mikkelsen play the role. He is perfect for it. I am a dane aswell and know his career in my country from before he and his brother kicked in the doors in hollywood...
Natasha Liu Bordizzo was cast VERY CAREFULLY…I’m onboard for how important they are making her. I really enjoy that she has nailed every aspect of Sabine, from mannerisms to voice to temperament.
Sabine is my wife’s favorite character and Natasha did mail the character. Hoping for some brighter colors on the armor but everything looks legit on this show. And fwiw my favorite characters are anakin and ahsoka so hyped for this show too.

A couple of key things about this AWESOME trailer: Sabine calling Ahsoka "master." Sabine cutting her hair just like Kanan did (Jedi Night episode). Anakin name drops. Inquisitor: some assume was the Eight Brother (a Terelian Jango Jumper?)... some assume could be Barriss Offee, time will tell and it'll be cool either way. The visuals... OMG. Baylan saying how "anakin spoke highly of you" to Ahsoka. This is going to be AWSOME and I can't wait.
I also want to see the whole gang back together. Wish list includes Tem as Rex and a hope for some flashbacks with Freddy Prince Jr.
Seeing Temuera as Rex would be awesome. I loved his reunion with Ahsoka in Rebels S2: "Look at you. You got old!"
Ahsoka, Ezra, Hera, Sabine, Rex, Zeb, Chopper, and Kallus in the same room would be perfect
Well Tem is listed as Captain Rex on the show's IMDB page. But the only two characters that appear for all 8 episodes (according to IMDB) are Sabine and Ahsoka, everyone else including Thrawn, Anakin, the Magistrate from Mando and the two Dark Jedi only appear for the first episode - which obviously makes no sense. So hopefully we'll get to see more of Rex and Anakin. Nothing listed for Kanan but we can hope.
@@darthnihilus2729if we will see Kanan it will be not freddy prince jr, he already said that for him Kanan's story is closed and he doesn't want to return (in bad batch he only returned to do a favor for lucasfilm) but I doubt that we will see Kanan, other than fanservice I don't see a reason for his return
@toamszkozak8822 It's not everyone who has seen all of the animated shows. Sabine is clearly building on the lightsaber training Kanan started so she could weild the darksaber. Narrativly, a flashback to her training could provide a lot of context for people. This would not ve just for fan service.
Sabine being force sensitive or force attuned is a really old fan theory basically starting her training at the age of 19 instead of 2; It kind of seems like Ahsoka was Sabine's Master.
When Sabine screams "WEEYUY" after shooting the enemy ship, I heard in the back of my brain "Great Kid. Don't get cocky!" .... and now I cannot undo that 🤣
This is going to be great! I love the nods to the original New Republic EU with the introduction of the E-wing, and the nod to The Clone Wars. The shuttle we see at the start of the trailer is the Eta-class shuttle introduced in The Clone Wars season 2.
Like you, I got massive chills with all the Rebels easter eggs like Pergill, Sabine's haircut from the jump forward of the Rebels finale and, of course, the face of Thrawn!

The fact we are gonna get proper thrawn voice but also a solid live action appearance too is great , that actor was made for it

If they don't kill them all in the 3rd season we probably will. We'll most likely just get Omega. I want to see Cal in live action.

Shoutout to Ivana Sakhno. Shin looks absolutely fantastic. Something just resonates with me when I look at her character on every level.
I can't wait to see my favourite little psycho chopper in live action.... He is the biggest menace in the rebellion IMO! He just murders thousands and thousands without remorse! :D
There's a Vader breath when Baylan talks about Anakin, so good
I've been saying this for months, but I think the "Eighth Brother" is Ezra. At this point, every other bad guy has had a name drop, or a brief backstory given in some form, but for the "inquisitor" that has been around for years we get nothing? A side note, the inquisitors served Vader, and if Vader and the Empire is gone, then there is really no reason whatsoever for that character to exist anymore. I genuinely believe that that is Ezra, and Ahsoka and the crew are going to have to save him in more ways than one. Remember, by this point, he's been with Thrawn for close to a decade, if not longer, and if Thrawn is the threat we are preparing for him to be, then he's probably won his battle with Ezra. Either way, I absolutely cannot wait!!!!

-I really thought that they would do that with Luke being Kylo Ren going into Force Awakens blind, especially after the books and making Thrawn back into canon...ngl, that would be sick!
I think the Inquisitor fight is a flashback, and if it is anybody we know then it is probably Barriss Offee. Thrawn already lost the battle with Ezra in the Rebels finale.
Why has everyone's theory for Ezra always been, "Dark Side"?
Literally the entire Rebels series, according to fans, every theory had him becoming a Dark Side user, in the end it didn't happen.
And still now, it's the first thing people throw out? It would be so cliche for him to have fallen to the Dark Side.
If he was going to do so? You think it would have happened when his master died? But it didn't happen.
And furthermore with your particular theory. It sounds like Thrawn is still trapped somewhere? And these people are trying to bring him back?
So, why and how, would have Ezra gotten back, and not just gotten back, but somehow got turned into an Inquisitor in like a year or 2?

A certain vocal minority in the fandom has always really liked the Empire and the Sith a lot more than any other part of Star Wars.
That would be such a dumb decision for his character. He already experienced the temptation of the dark side in SWR and eventually overcame it. Making him an inquisitor would completely ruin that aspect of his story.

Rumor has it that the Inquisitor could be Bariss Offee. Also, in the beginning of the Trailer, it appears Baylen is aboard a New Republic Cruiser. Therefore, he must be trying to Rescue the woman who battles Asokah in the Mandalorian in the Episode titled, "The Jedi" (Morgan Ellsworth). Therefore I am SO hyped to see this show! Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they do the world between worlds in this series to explain how young Ahsoka was contacted by her older self when they were stranded on Mortis

I think it is interesting that the "we re no jedi" guy (cant remember his name) knew Anakin and aperently talked to him about Ashoka. I defenetly look forward to this series.

Huyang was likely brought to help Ahsoka because he knows every lightsaber a Jedi built and can recognize Baylan and Shin's lightsabers. Also, it is likely Huyang was very close with Baylan and wants to be involved personally despite how the droid is important in Luke's rebuilding of the Jedi Order due to his knowledge of lightsabers and the Prime Jedi.

The Eighth Brother Inquisitor was a Terrellian Jango Jumper, like one of the two thieves who stole Ahsoka's lightsaber in The Clone Wars episode "Lightsaber Lost". They had a strong resistance to gravity injury, since they could jump and leap in freakish ways.
What would you think if we got a cameo by Timothy Zawn? For all the writing and work he did back in the day that would be the icing on the cake!

Sabine is my favorite and I'm so glad to see that she'll have her traditional short hair for the show. I love how they translated her and the epilogue scene to live action almost perfectly. Natasha is perfect for the role.❤😍
very unusual disney trailer as we get a lot of imnformation about plot and character motivations. biggest thing for me: there is obviously some master/apprentice thing going on between sabine and ahsoka after the events of the rebels finale (long haired sabine), as she cut it short when ahsoka retunred to her (last rebels shot), meaing they are maybe looking for ezra between rebels finale and rotj. so all the shots with sabine having long hair would happen in those years, thats very interesting. not sure if they hinting at sabine being force sensitive (which would be a bit out of the blue as there were never any indications for that), but some kind of training is defenitely going in during this long hair time, so the final rebels shot is actually ahsoka coming back ot her not visiting her for the first time. never thought about that.

Rebels is my favorite Star Wars thing after the OT and Zahn's EU books, and considering that Zahn was consulted for this show, that just makes this the best of both worlds imo. I have no idea what to expect but I'm really excited to see where it goes (even if they can't sneak in a certain redhead, although that'd be such a great mindf**k if it happened). It actually looks pretty Sabine-centric and considering she's one of my favorite SW characters I'm very curious to see where Dave takes her

Hayden Christensen is definitely appearing in the Ahsoka series. Presumably in flashback sequences, but it’s very interesting that Baylan Skoll knew Anakin as well…where did they cross paths?!
