    I have a 2021 G70 Sport that the lease is about up on. Debating to buy it outright, swap for a 2024, or just turn it in and buy a BMW M240i. I've put 30k on the G70, no issues outside of he dark chrome around the windows getting an odd buildup on it from car washes. Been very reliable and fun to drive. Just really impressed with how much better all around the M240i feels.

    I tried the 2021 bmw m340l, in the end I chose the genesis g70 3.3t sport prestige, the reason is that you get much more for your money, plus with gb4 ecu tunes and lap 3 tcu tune, I only see German cars in the rearview mirror. genesis 🥇

    I love the way this car drives! But after driving the new M340i and C43, this interior does feel outdated. While it’s still cheaper than the German rivals, it’s not THAT much cheaper anymore (closing in on $60K for a top of the line model). They needed to either have done the full analog gauges or the full digital gauges found in other markets, but not his half-and-half which looks very half baked. I’m surprised we didn’t get that this year when they refreshed the HVAC section to be touch controls. Plus, I do think the interior needs some ambient lighting. It doesn’t have to be as much as the Mercedes- just use what you already have in the GV70! Also, upgrading to that 3.5T engine would’ve made the performance in the top trim much more competitive vs. the competition. I know it sounds cheesy, but I’m looking to replace my 2019 Volvo with a more sporty competitor via lease. Yes, the Genesis comes out to be cheaper by like $80-$100/month, but you can see that extra $$$ in the German rivals with the better tech (and the B58 engine in the BMW’s case, I have zero idea how that car is decent MPG wise while the Genesis and the C43 are so thirsty with 18 MPG in the city). This is also one of the few cars in its class that offers ventilated seats and power trunk standard in the top trim! I also love the blind spot camera when changing lanes, but it’s very difficult for me to overlook those other areas if I’m already spending this kind of $$$. Not to mention the horror stories I’ve read about Genesis’ service department. I really wish they put 1000% effort into this car- it would be so good!

      That’s what the ignorant used to say about Lexus in the 90’s…it’s just a Toyota. The g70 and its siblings are built on bespoke RWD architecture. No Hyundai in the North American market is RWD. And the exterior design is totally different than any Hyundai. You can’t say that about the Lexus.

Best features the rear wheel drive (if you don't have the AWD), smooth 8 speed transmission while using the comfort drive selection and the outstanding 15 speaker Lexicon system. The amount of standard technology in this car is mind-blowing. You need to read the owner's manual for certain!!!

    Even though this car has a wide muscular body, it's small but that's what it's supposed to be, so it succeeds there. But this is a well built car that makes the mature enthusiast feel youthful and exciting, with good looks. It's a comfortable mature ride with an upscale-ness to it that gives off a class above vibe. It fits my character and as I test drove both 3.3TT V6 and 2.5T I am on my way to buy one as I type this. I just wish manufacturer didn't do away with foglights. I feel as though foglights would compliment the headlights and overall aesthetics of the car itself.

My BMW is bigger in size but the G70 feels roomier inside don’t know why. And the 3.3T G70 is even slightly cheaper than a 330i.

    • @bobdavis3357
      @bobdavis3357 7 місяців тому

      @@CarCoachReports for those like myself who prefer to own a car. Not to lease one, which is basically a long term rental. Same for lease turn ins. A boon of profit for dealers, but an UP still gets robbed. This is keeping it real and your subscribers should all be informed by the Queen of cars, Lauren.

  • @bobdavis3357
    @bobdavis3357 7 місяців тому

    Leasing is horrible. You wind up throwing your car away. Just buy a bomb like I did, toss 6 grand into it over an 8 yr period, keep the fluids changed, maintain it right,and you can keep your old Camry XLE V6 running for another 2 or three years. And the new Camry AWD I bought has yet to be driven more than a few miles.
    But I definitely like this neo Hyundai. Car is just fab looking. And still, resale value takes a big hit in these cars.
    The only winner in this is the dealer, and their fraudulent certified pre owned lease turn ins. But for those who like the cars, go for it.
