About 20 years ago I’ll never forget the summer I worked building maintenance/ building demo at a wastewater treatment plant- me and the other under the table workers used to have sword fights with these super lightbulbs- all apparently of which were painted on the inside with beryllium-based paint, super toxic apparently! Also we’re exposed to chlorine gas, legionnaires disease, and meningitis at other points. Still amazed all of us made it out of that summer alive. Best job ever.

I grew up on the water in the country and my sister's BFF's dad had the pesticide plane that he would fly over your property. Since we were friends, he would fly over low and give us 'extra" passes, and as a kid, we'd run around the yard and wave and chase the white fog. Yay, early 70s!

I used to play with a jar of mercury in the garage. OLD SHIT from like the 70s. Never touched it with my hands on purpose though! I knew it was bad, but still liked to dump a little out on the floor... NOT GOOD hahahaha. I was a meth head teenager.

Listening to that last call just made me realize what a shitty idea it was to have them on xm and terrestrial at the same time. You listen to satellite because it's uncensored. They get on that guy for cursing but maybe he was a new listener on xm and didn't realize they were on terrestrial. They should have just left well enough alone.

When I bought my house, it came with a big shed. In the shed, there was a gallon jug full of Mercury. I told my buddy who worked for the town, and he called the EPA. I was afraid I was going to die.
Apparently it's not that dangerous as long as you don't play with it. I have some in my house too.
NileRed does videos with mercury. Apparently it's completely (or, mostly) safe to touch as long as there's no "entry point" for the mercury to enter you, like cuts/scratches on your skin (or not gargling/snorting it).
The really bad rap mercury gets comes from another kind of mercury, "Elemental Mercury" or something like that, which causes mercury poison from skin contact and fume inhalation.
I've seen videos alleging they make mercury out to be far more dangerous than it is, because they don't want people knowing the truth about Mercury + Magnets (in the right setup obviously) = infinite supply of electrical power.
I think even NileRed has a video showing how to make mercury power generators for powering lightbulbs. Someone on youtube does anyway, but I'm surprised they were ever able to stay online. Tutorials on building things like water powered and mercury powered generators tend to go down fast.
