Vote tactically to make sure we deal with the emergency which is to get the Tories out.
Letby was a favourite of the management at that particular hospital. Many consultants were shut down and told not to raise concerns against her because apparently she was considered 'nice Lucy' by the leadership. As a Doctor, it is very difficult to raise concerns in the NHS. Some nurses and care staff have more power than the people at the top. I have had to push for investigations against nurses and midwives who have neglected those in their care. I have witnessed some horrible examples and have had to step in and those people are still part of the NHS. Just speaking from personal experience.
I see Boris Johnson and I just think of the sadness covid gave us all

Does anyone else think a more plausible explanation for the infant deaths, is departmental failures / negligence, rather than this implausible story? Perhaps a badly run department, lack of oversight, etc?. The court cases are also being resolved at speed, which also seems suspicious to me.

Also we know the nhs is understaffed and underfunded but that does not explain or excuse what she did. Two babies were poisoned with insulin which can ONLY have happened by somebody deliberately adding it to an IV. And letby is the only nurse to have been on duty for ALL of these events. She did it!!
At least the doctors are saying the truth. That is to be valued and important, they would get more used to saying it in the right time, not when is validated by the fashion of the law.

Re Lucy letby, the baby survived that initial attack which is why there wouldn’t be a post mortem. Also the consultants had already raised concerns about her at this point and had been threatened and told to stop pushing for an investigation. He’s feels terrible about not just going to the police directly. You guys should listen to the podcast reporting on her trials - very interesting (although incredibly sad and difficult)
