I voted Labour and am proud to do so.
I feel really cheesed off. 60% turn out which is shameful...Labour got 36% of a 60% turnout of the public. We need proportional representation!!!!!

So first they will blame the Tories for the mess then find excuses to get out of keeping their promises, I hope Im wrong but I doubt it.
The same narrative every time …
I understand the argument for proportional representation (esp re Greens) but you would also currently have a parliament full of Reform fascists. The surge in votes for Reform is the real story here.
What a nightmare for England.
I myself am 24 and didnt vote for either Labour or Conservatives. I personally voted for Reform. However, grateful we live in the democracy we do despite not being in favour of the election winner. I am very skeptical about what this Labour government will look like, im really not sure what to expect. I think one thing for certain was change was needed and the tories needed to go. I think we may also see the beginning of a reform of our political system, i dont think first past the post is fit for purpose any longer with smaller parties on the rise gaining millions of votes and in reforms case more than Lib Dems however those votes/voters arent recognised and also the green partys surge in votes!. Anyway, we can all only hope despite who we voted for that whoever has won suceeds and moves the country forward, that surely means we all succeed. :)

So glad you shared your admiration of corbyn, it hurts that our politicians did not want a government that would have integrity & quality of life driving everything it does. SUCH an eye opener to the funded system. Best PM we never had. Maybe we need to get more left labour voters to vote Green
I get why people feel disenfranchised with politicians & system, i do too and it needs to change. BUT they should still vote! As the outcome will still effect them. Look at what the parties want to do, read the material & choose what is best for you & those around you. AND yesterday’s result proves that, Newer parties growing, old trends changing etc

Too many people think they only have the choice of labour or Conservative because the others don't stand a chance but of course they don't if people don't vote for them. Right until last minute of sending postal vote I was torn between green and lib dem voted lib dem as going out of door, then soom as I put it in post box days ago I wished I had gone green.
