- In this special report on the aftermath of the Maui wildfires in Lahaina, Scripps News sat down for an in-depth, one-on-one interview with Gov. Josh Green. Correspondent James Packard asked him whether he expects criminal charges to come, why sirens weren’t activated sooner and what will change going forward. Gov. Green spoke about the pressing need to house the displaced.

Yes, it's called a siren, and it never sounded for this fire.
Sirens are our warning systems all the time, but Maui County decided not to sound the sirens that day.

Maui government has committed the same sins as ancient Israel did under the prophet Micah.
Much of Micah’s indictment against Israel and Judah involves these nations’ injustice toward the lowly-unjust business dealings, robbery, mistreatment of women and children, and a government that lived in luxury off the hard work of its nation’s people.

Brad Ventura, Mavi Fire Chief and where was Herman Andaya, Maui Emergency Command Manager and where was Mayor Bissen, certainly not calling The National Guard in, and why was mauii Police Chief not In command in the Emergency operation Center? Gee! and Gov, Green thinks nothing could possibly criminal when People were directed and Blockaded on to a No-EXIT street where they burned alive and Noone still knows who gave The orders!

As lifetime Hawaii residents we know very well to conserve the use of water in Maui. They have had long been having limited water supply.
Please treat others the same way you want to be treated by

Instead of the Governor worrying so much about climate change, he should be very worried about hisl own state Emergency Response and 24-7 point warning system that is supposed to be surveilling the Islands for Fires, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis, which failed miserably on the day of the Maui Fire contributing to the the deaths of 100 people! The state apparently never saw the Fire eruption, failed to reach out to the county, failed to help sound sirens, Failed to deploy National guard to help evacuate people and assist in traffic Gridlock! oh but Gov. Green doesn't seem to think their highly irresponsible negligent response caused anything criminally negligent! No, many people don't agree! Nationa Guard were deployed after the Town was leveled and Innocent men women and children had burned alive! arrival of 9:45 at night is almost 10 hours too late! Major General Hara failed! What good are the national guard IF they are never deployed in an dire emergency?? oh yes! Gov. Green said this was a 17 minute fire! Wrong again! the Fre re-started 2:54 pm and burned all night until 12 AM or later
