Thought we'd try it like this. As our Avatar videos went on, like many series here on the channel it became a problem of tracking where the episodes ended up and what was linked. The Promise was broken into 3 different graphic novels, which become 3 different episodes here on the channel. If you guys like the idea of hour long Avatar videos until we correct the playlists, let me know. Hope you guys enjoy!
Yeah I know I just want someone to summarize the first issue but don't you do like the books leading up to it and then you do complete story that's what I've seen you do it before I think
“Every time Katara or Aang call eachother “sweetie” in front of the innocent public, I will get a dollar” “Well looks like I managed to buy a Lamborghini with 200k to spare”
Well you have to think about it. As the Avatar and the Avatars' girlfriend you have to take on the roles of responsibility to bring forth some sort of peace after 100 years of war and turmoil. You're put in a position where it's either you sit and let another war occur under your watch and moving to a better place than where you were previously
Somehow an idea popped in my head...wish aang would get quietly angery since there not listening. Slamming the ground and earthbend everyone to distract them or get their attention, then calmly and angrily tell them to calm down and not do anything until they talk it out, then everybody would just stare quietly. Haha that would be cool😝
Anyone else bothered over that Kori chick immediately resorting to “try to assassinate the Firelord” instead of, you know, having her father explain Yu Dao’s situation to him? That made her pretty instantly unlikable in my opinion. Her father isn’t much better, what with the whole implying that Zuko should be like his genocidal, war mongering father. I find it kind of hard to believe that the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom citizens could get along after the Firelord tried to raze the Earth Kingdom to the ground. Also, it’s pretty weird that Kori’s attempt on a world leader’s life went practically unpunished. Plus, killing the Firelord is a pretty strange move for someone who claims to be so loyal to the Fire Nation to do. What did she expect to happen if it worked?
I guess she reacted that way out of pure anger since yu dao was technically the place where she lived her whole life and because of this thought violence was the only way to stop her "home" from being taken over by the earth kingdom.
Agree it was weird there was no punishment for that I could see her breaking in and trying to talk him out of it respectfully understanding the history and the pain of what the Fire Nation did but not believing this was the right way. The whole promise brought up a good conflict and did crap with it But no just murder a 16-year-old and then acting morally superior and somehow got away with it? There is so much wrong with this comic
I'm still contemplating on whether I should take my time on reading it myself which should be fairly easy to do until I rewatch the Legend of Korra after I finish this and the other two ...or if I should skim through them a bit with this since it isn't very fun to read em. I wish they would have animated this.
I just got the comic and im still reading it! It answers a few questions! (Recommend watching the last airbender, and the legend of korra first so you can understand alot.) i was squealing while reading page after page. Its really amazing! You should get it!
Republic City is the capitol of the United Republic of Nations. After the war, Fire Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang decided to turn the old Fire Nation colonies in the Earth Kingdom into a neutral state where anyone from the four nations can live, so yes it is. its now a capitol of every nation.
there's actually a ton of UA-camrs that do this for manga sooo try making the effort to just pick one maybe? considering this is a Comic Channel & ATLA isn't even an anime and... 😮💨🤒
I would've still shut down Yu Dao. The Fire Nation colonies are wrong and if the Earth Kingdom citizens wanted every colony gone, Yu Dao doesn't get special treatment. Its their land and they should be able to decide what makes them comfortable or uncomfortable in the confines of their own nation. Despite being a mixed village, the colony of Yu Dao still perpetuates colonization culture invoked by the Fire Nation. Republic City is dope but Yu Dao isn't special in my opinion.
does this have the promise part 1,2, and 3? cause i found the comic in stores but i wasn’t gonna waste the money and only get 1 part when i could watch all three for free
Bro just thanks for all this comics can u please list all the avatar the last air bender comics names please please please please please please please please please please please please please bro please please please
I kinda dislike this comic I love avatar but how some of the characters act or talk feels way to out of characters like half the people who worked on the show wasn’t there and a bunch of new people came on and tried to mimic it and fell flat on their face
Exactly Aang tried to end zuko only because he heard that zuko withdrew from the harmony restoration movement while he didn't kill ozai even after all he did and was about to do... Imagine! He didn't even try to listen or have a conversation with a member of the gaang .. That's where I left and For me it just like jk Rowling writing fanfic about her OWN books

Toph and Sokka's arc in this comic is the best thing about it.
It certainly is
The times they say “sweetie” is still unnatural tbh
“Every time Katara or Aang call eachother “sweetie” in front of the innocent public, I will get a dollar”
“Well looks like I managed to buy a Lamborghini with 200k to spare”
I swear, Sokka and Toph are the only ones in the comics who stay true to their character in the show

You guys should do something on the x-man character forget me not(also goes by nobody) I think you guys would have interesting commentary on him
I am so happy I found this
so did only Yu Dao stay a mix between the earth kingdom and fire nations, or did all the old colonize?
Republic City is the capitol of the United Republic of Nations. After the war, Fire Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang decided to turn the old Fire Nation colonies in the Earth Kingdom into a neutral state where anyone from the four nations can live, so yes it is. its now a capitol of every nation.

@@GabRam-rc7rp i dont think yu dao became republic City, since yu dao isnt on the coast
Great job!
I am so glad we're getting a live action version of something we already have AGAIN instead of this...
To clarify this starts a year after the war eneded.
When the series ended Aang was 13.
