I would probably never, ever wear this hairdo (don't know, haven't finished watching yet) but I cannot stop watching! I am so impressed that an 80+ year old woman is giving hair tutorials on UA-cam! I love it! You go lady! 💜🥰
BTW, you look AMAZING! I'm 47 and don't look half as good as you. Your skin is so radiant. I'm seriously jealous of a woman nearly twice my age! 😅

I’m 71 and my hair was below my butt up until a week ago. I couldn’t stand it anymore and finally got it cut to a little past my shoulders. Now I don’t know what to do with it! Some great ideas here! Thank you!

Oh, lady! I'm not sure how your video got on my playlist but it was a bittersweet thing! My mom's hair was like baby-fine marabou feathers. She would wash it, moose it, blow dry it, comb it through, gel it, blow dry again, comb through again, curl it with an iron, Aqua Net it, brush it through again, back brush it, curl it again, then apply a helmet of Aqua Net on top of that... ALL just to look half as thick and fluffy as yours. I just said to my hubby with tears in my eyes, "I wish my mom had lived long enough to have enjoyed the benefits of dry shampoo. I could have made her hair huge for her in a couple minutes flat!" And when you pulled down and twirled those strands in front of your ears, it was like watching her again, back from the grave. God bless you! Thank you for your video, beautiful lady!

Refreshing video! You are an inspiration to us. I am 77 and still find it's important to me to look and feel my best every day. As one of my favorite on-line doctors , Dr. Christianne Northrup says "Goddesses Never Age," which is the title of one of her books. We don't have to accept society's expectations about being older women, we CAN be beautiful at any age...and you prove that point very well. Thank you for being an wonderful role model! ❤

I absolutely love you Nanny you are too precious & beautiful ! I can tell you are beautiful to your soul inside and out and very wise! Love this hair tutorial! I can't wait to watch more of your videos! I could sit and listen to you all day! Nanny you have given me hope and inspiration for all my hair challenges! I'm 57 I have had super baby fine thin straight hair my whole life and when I was 16 I was diagnosed with alopecia areata nervosa it is an autoimmune disease of your hair follicles where you lose your hair in bald patches and it can become what they call totalis where you lose all your hair and go bald and it never grows back. By the Grace of God my all patches have always grown back this far and some faster than other times. I also have an autoimmune type of thyroid disease Hashimoto's thyroiditis and I have hypothyroidism both also cause thinning hair and hair loss. And I have many other chronic health afflictions as well as several different chonic multiple intractable pain afflictions that affect my hands, fingers ,spine myscleskeleton joints, muscles tendons, ligaments and nerves in my body so I cannot hold my arms up for very long and have to pace myself and reserve my limited energy when I do anything no matter how simple as I also have chronic fatigue so I need easy hairstyles and haircuts. I took the plunge and got my hair cut pretty short a year ago but I've been letting it grow out because I found a very big alopecia bald spot path behind one of my my ears towards the bottom where the nape of the side of my neckline starts so it's pretty noticeable when I wear a updo right now. I've always pretty much wore my hair long since I was 16 to cover the bald spot patches and they are never in the exact spot on my head. This video was great at showing me how to tuck and roll and make my thin hair look fuller, thicker and creat more volume and hide my current big bald spot I have. Right now I'm having to pull most of my hair to the one side to hide the bald patch so I have to do a loose messy twist low type updo using combs, pretty pins, bobby pins or my go to a big flower clip. I love updo hairstyles and I love changing up my hairstyle and am obsessed with pretty hair accessories. I always have these little wispy hairs that fall down in the front by my ears they are my trademark and Everytime I have worn a updo family and friends gave always complemented me on my wispys. I took like more hair around my face like you. I love that soft, elegant, romantic messy updos and hairstyles they are timeless and classic. I was thinking because I was getting older I needed to have a cut that was more stylish and youthful and get away from those updos as I was aging but you know what you've given me empowerment to just embrace aging gracefully and to not fight with my hair and to realize that older women are very beautiful without having to try so hard and aging is a gift many do not live long enough to receive and those updos are elegant and beautiful and classic and timeless and do not make us look old, frumpy etc age is just a biological number, beauty is in the heart and the eyes of our Beholder , life is a precious gift and those of us fortunate to make it to 50 or above are blessed beyond measure. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff or stress about our hair or lack of and we should wear our hair however we want and if we lose our hair totally we can embrace our baldness , scarves or hats or rick wigs and tippers or gaur extensions whatever makes us feel most comfortable in our own skin and whatever makes us happy when we are looking in the mirror. God doesn't make ugly we and everything are beautiful in our and it's own way under God's Heaven. Thank you so much Nanny! God Bless You! You rock dear, sweet, beautiful, precious lady! 🛐😘💕

Since I turned 60 or maybe a few years earlier my hair is definitely thinning. I still have it long for now. You make it look quite easy to do the up do's. And you look fabulous, of course! x

I'm so serious. I LOVE HER! I was looking for hair tutorials for the upcoming holidays for myself and my daughter. ( I have learned to pre-plan ideas to avoid my, what used to be, usual last minute panic on the morning or afternoon of an extremely special occasion..... More then slightly panicking... trying to search through the shortest videos while trying to agree with my extra critical, although extremely understanding, supportive and loving daughter.

Anyways, my whole point was that I swear, she has the same "flavor", for lack of a better word, as my mom and grandma combined and the "wisdom" of my daughter's loving little self. Absolutely LOVE her! You show em Momma! Age ain't nothing but a number, ok?!?

I have to admit that I came across this video by accident. It the best thing that happened to me on UA-cam. I love your positive, peppy outlook on life and staying beautiful! I just turned 70. Some tell me to cut my hair. “You’re too old for long hair”! Phooey to them. You have shown me how to make my long fine, very thin hair actually look good! Your tips are so helpful! I can’t wait to try them. Thank you so much! You have another loyal lifetime subscriber. I’m going to watch your Glow video now. You are wonderful. God bless you!!

I love the French roll combs, they are more lightweight and a bit smaller with the same long teeth and don’t pull down as the day goes on. I love your style and will try the first hack right off the bat!❤

When you said you were in your 80’s and commented for us not to worry so much about what they say spraying this stuff not to worry too much because “What’s it going to do to me that something else will do?”
I laughed so hard my eyes tested up and no fan in sight. How refreshing. Do what makes you feel good. Now I will hit back up so I can watch your technique. Keep it up. 🥰

Nanny , Yes I thoroughly enjoyed you demonstrating on how to use the dry shampoo and using hair combs, I have the same hair color as you and I found a hairpiece from Tony of Beverly in the white color called the pin up to give me that extra fullness. This gives me a quick do in no time at all. I really don’t like to spend time on my hair which is not my forte.

I can't believe the price of these combs. Everyone was getting them at the dollar store or drug stores for under $5, but I guess we can't find them anywhere anymore. Menopause has been brutal with me. Thank you for this. 💞 You look gorgeous 😍

Thank you. As I've gotten older I gave up on even trying to fix my hair. It's gotten thinner especially on top. I'm going to try some of the updos and hopefully I'll look better and that should make me feel better about myself. I'm having a lot of muscle pain when lifting my right arm, but I'm definitely going to someway try your styles. Thanks again very much!

Hi nanny, I think your hair looks beautiful pulled up, I love an up-do and wear my hair up all the time. I have some of those hair rats that I got at the dollar tree and of course I have many claw clips and hair combs. I love wearing flowers in my hair also. You must have some natural curl at least in the front of your hair. The front of mine is stick straight and would never stay back like yours does. Thanks for showing us how you do your hair up! Much love, Sheila.
