I am living just west of London and London to Toronto is NOT a 90 minute drive. It's more like 3 hours and that last 45 min of that is just getting from Toronto city limits to where you want to go. I know, I did it more than once. Everything else he says is true. I grew up here through the early 1960's when it was a small town and came back in 2012 after living in the GTA for 32 years. It went from a nowhere town to a really happening place.
We have a beautiful constructive downtown, flourishing 24 hour parks full of people and tents, and plenty of 1 bedroom dwellings for the lawyers and doctors and real estate agents to rent to their family and the dwindling middle class. If your a foreigner please jump on the band wagon and buy our property's, and for a small fee you can keep it empty all year long as well. If you can afford our luxury fast food restaurants please go check them out, as you commute through the streets of wonderful polite and considerate drivers.
I was born and raised in St. Thomas, ON and it has exploded with people from the GTA as well and it's sad really. The cost of everything has went nuts because of it, especially housing costs! I also lived in London for about 12 yrs and it is a very big busy city and although you say it's good for London, it also brings more bad things like crime.
Well, as a Hamiltonian, London is growing due to the fact that London doesnt have the Greenbelt on it. Hence why London can expand its urban boundary more easily than say Toronto or Hamilton.
Because theyre misinformed. I was born in london, but moved away. Theres no affordable housing there. Few well paying jobs. Constant construction because they use the cheapest material to pave roads. And the public transit is so atrocious there are memes about it. The number of homeless people keeps increasing and city politicians keep ignoring the issue because theyre rich and it doesnt effect them. Dont move to london!
"it's all immigration"- you mean it's all non white immigration. Canadians are being replaced by non white immigrants in London at an alarming rate. How many of these "new canadians" will push back against a city council that wants to stop Canada day celebrations? It means nothing to a third world immigrant who is here for economic reasons.
when the real estate goes up in price your taxes go up rents goes up everything goes up in price London is a gem that will soon be tarnished and will become like Toronto

@@arandomperson410 The Greenbelt is also the reason why housing is so expensive in the GTA and Hamilton since housing supply is not being created due to the Greenbelt to match the demand for housing.

Also, the first 30-45 min is getting to 401 from Northwest , Hydepark and surrounding areas
Keep up the great work Ryan 👍
I'm very impressed by your video.Thank you very much.
I want to move from London. It's getting too busy. I would like to move to a small, quieter town. But not too far from a major city.
Could Thorndale, Arva, or Ingersoll work?
I will be studying in London real soon! Thanks for this video!
Best of luck!
@@ryancrits-londonontariocan4732 thank you sir!

Honesty! I was wondering if people are flocking here because of the flourishing tent communities😐
0:25, love that view of downtown on Richmond street at night
You'll love it when you see it covered in homeless people

I really want to move to london but i dont see that many jobs related to my field (data science) there, specially for people from other countries
0:05 not bad, not bad

Had a conversation with someone who hated people from London Ontario this morning. He always got into fights with them haha

I lived there for a while and I found the people to be very boring. I was coming from Montreal. I was born in Sarnia and left at 18 years old.
Moving here is fine but London ( where I live) needs business to move here.
HOW ABOUT THE CRIME RATES IN LONDON ONTARIO? IS IT SAFE FOR ASIAN'S TO LIVE THERE?LIKE FILIPINOS
I've never seen any issues with filipinos or any Asains. As long as you live in a nice area you won't have any trouble
London Crime Statistics - 5-year comparison of Criminal Code cases
Offence Category. 2017. 2021
Assault 2,148. 3,142
Sexual Assault. 344. 572
Robbery. 210. 329
Violent Crimes 2,765. 4,132
Stay out of the ghettos....run down co-ops usually. But ya it's were you live and go in London when it comes to violence, not necessarily racism.
As a native Londoner, I see this as an absolute win
Lived in Saskatoon until I was like 3. I'm 15 now and I've been living in London for over a decade.

Except it doesn't have anywhere near the appeal that Toronto has
CRAZY that the London CMA is just about as big as Winnipeg was when I was born back in 2000 🤯🤯🤯
It’s little new delhi now, no longer London
A lot of towns are following. East Indians EVERYWHERE!!
Stay in Toronto...too many people here now!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣

People forget about the Greenbelt

Well you can thank Ford, 7,400 acres of the green belt to be new housing developments.
