@@kobisjeruk Although back then fetches were in standard. Fabled passage and evolving wilds aren't the best aggro cards ever. Still can't deny hellhound is good in the right deck.

At 21:10 - is that a glitch? The game should have held up priority for you in the event you wanted to fetch with Passage. I had the same thing happen to me today that costed me a game.
the same interaction has been happening to me. Its awful. I have to get priority by opponent casting a spell or MANUALLY putting in a stop. Full control mode doesn't even work.
I think spikefield hazard is really underrated, and should be a 4-of in most red decks. It's probably the best answer to cobra available at the moment (alongside with a 2 mana sweeper), and it can also exile Uro in a pinch (if the deck doesn't have better answers to Uro). There are also a lot of 1 toughness rogues and other good creatures, so the card is pretty much never wasted, and worst case scenario it's kind of like cycling: you pay 1 mana to get a land. P.S. Alright, you've said all of that 10 seconds after I wrote the comment, but I still think playing 4 is worth it.
@@LegenVD I saw that later, but it still looks like any time you'd be able to mutate Phoenix on something, Embercleave could do a lot more damage. Many times even sooner than Phoenix. The only exception would be if you have a truly impressive mutate stack that includes Auspicious Starrix in it: in that case Phoenix would provide a lot more card advantage and perhaps even power than Embercleave, but with a big mutate stack on Starrix you should've already won.
Building a landfall deck pauper and I am stealing the mutate theme. Well only one mutate creature, but I am stealing it nonetheless. Thanks for the content.
Anyone explain how Rahda let you play that dual face elephant as a land? We were told in LGS that anywhere else than on the battlefield those cards count as their front. So you can't play it as a land from your library...
@@ShooterSF Tell your LGS people they're wrong. Effects that let you "play" cards from graveyard (Crucible of Worlds) or from the top of your library (Radha) treat these cards as if they were in your hand, and you can play both faces of a MDFC card from your hand. Also, rule 711.2 states "Players who are allowed to look at a double-faced card may look at both faces." Therefore, you're always aware of both faces existing, even when they're not physically in your hand.
Any specific reason you don't run any copies of Turntimber Symbiosis over a few of the forests? Are the basics better for your Greathorns maybe? Either way, cool looking deck!
At 34:29 I'm not getting how Radha allowed you to play the mammoth from the top of your library as a land. As far as I understand the rules regarding mdfcs that card is nothing but a creature while inside of the library.
These new cards are both things on the same time. For example 'Banishing Light' can't target the spell side of these new dual cards when it's on the battlefield, because BL only allows to target non-land cards.
The rule that allows for this doesn't come from the MDFCs, but from playing cards from other zones. When an effect allows you to "play" cards from the graveyard (e.g. Crucible of Worlds) or from the top of your library (e.g. Radha), those cards are treated as if they were in your hand. And you can play both faces of a MDFC from your hand.
@@JohnDoe-zx1ck A deck that's boring to play is one with very few decision points. Cycling is one of such decks, as it basically amounts to click on any card in your hand to cycle it away and then cast a Zenith Flare, plus any Fox you draw in the meantime. It repeats in exactly the same way at every game and there's basically no interaction with the opponent (LVD's opponent actually built it in a slightly more interactive way). Monored is not necessarily this kind of deck. Burn can be, but you can build monored in many other ways that have rich, interactive gameplay (see LVD's latest video, for instance).

Yeah, I added 2 copies of the green Ajani instant spell which give hexproof&indestructible to all creatures.
