Yes this is true ive been coloring my hair with the orange box since 2019; first I used the Honey Blonde formula which gave me exact results, then 6 months later I dyed my hair with the light golden blonde C.42 exact results, in 2020 I went darker but decided to go back blonde 6 moths later and used the red box 9.23, however I did get the results on the box I noticed a difference in the blondes, I went back to using the orange box and their is now a line, my ends are lighter (red box) but still a golden blonde just a different tonal of blonde then my roots, which are more Bronze (orange box) the directions tell you to refresh after a certain amount of time but I dont do that because to me its too damaging, for me they both give exact results just 2 different versions I dont mind either color but I prefer the orange box formula better, the smell is less chemically and gentler.
Also too add everyones hair different we have different undertones so someone like me with virgin hair (no color) and golden/ash undertone gets exact results compared to someone who with maybe red undertones

A lot of times dye companies often change the box and model on the box to shake up sales a bit. But you are right that is not an old box it is a completely different line within that brand. It could be that one has more ammonia...one has no ammonia...one has more nutritious oils in it etc The fact that it is a different number it is a different shade even if the name is the same or similar! I think the company could have changed the name (even if slightly) to not confuse their customers!

I’m not sure if the one that says new is the “new” box per say, if you go onto the website the boxes shown are the red ones but you can also find the orange ones. The orange ones are new I think because it’s infused with Shea butter instead of argan oil like the red box
This color is truly a rare find. You may have to simply call around to see what beauty supply store carry it for you. For me, I get them from Beauty Island which is a local beauty supply for me ! If it comes down to it you may be better off just ordering it online.

Recently I went back to dying my own hair. I noticed ALL Creme of Nature boxes were labeled 'permanent' 🤔before I was able to purchase semipermanent. However, the product works the same. I'm switching to professional hair store for hair color products. Everyone is changing their products nowadays.
Hi ! This particular box dye is a box dye that also carries a “lightening powder pouch”. Optional if you would like to add it when doing your hair for high-resolution results, and this is a form of bleach. I do add it when coloring my hair with this box dye !

This is true, that the samples at times can also be slightly skewed. But that can still help to guide you in a better, more realistic direction of your expectations to come than to just not have one at all 🤷🏽♀️
@@SamanthaPlease I dunno! I don’t trust them after several disappointments lol! But you’re probably right that the two dyes are still a little different. All those blonde box dyes tend to give a more orangey/auburn result and don’t start looking blonde until maybe the 2nd or 3rd time unless your hair is pre lightened. Bleach and toner seem to give better results for blonde (for me) but of course you have to be sooo careful with bleach (even though the “boosters” in box dyes are also bleach, maybe just less).

If you want a darker color, the red box is more brown I’d say. But if your goal is not “blonde” ultimately, both of these might not be what your looking for. I think the brand has lots of other great color options though, and I also do think hair will come out either way but still a good dye.
So what's the point. If is not the one u use. Why buy it. Honey is honey. But it comes in different consistency. And different brands. There something call, original or copy cat...????? Just like purses real or imitation. Just saying

The orange box is the coconut lime of Creme of nature, whereas, the red box is the argan oil line. Two different line.
Does the red box contain bleach?
Yes. I've only used the argan oil line so I know what to look for.

I use the Clairol Textures and tones.. it never misses!
They are two different color numbers just pay attention to the numbers ladies and you won’t have this problem ❤️
