Thanks for the wonderful tour.
T he Old Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Building, now known as the Bently Reserve, was the main headquarters building of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for nearly sixty years. The building is located at 400 Sansome Street, in the Financial District of San Francisco. Designed by George W. Kelham, the building has an Ionic colonnade that is pure Beaux-Arts, while the upper building is in the new Moderne fashion of 1924. The banking lobby at the Sansome Street entrance contains a mural by Jules Guerin, the artist who created the palette for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. The Old Federal Reserve was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
San Francisco is going through a lot of grief, depression etc. it shows a lot. I hope you get well ❤️🩹 soon. When I come back to my city by the bay, I hope by then San Francisco will be up on its feet..
Good to see you getting out for a walk!... As much as I enjoy the ebike tours as well, much to be said for walking ..... the faster you go the more you miss- lol! Enjoyed.
I have recently visited San Francisco twice and still did not go over the Golden Gate bridge so it may be asking too much to walk across it but could you visit the park, at least I could see it...have a great day I enjoy your videos and often wish I was there with you..
400 Sansome was the Old Federal Reserve Bank Building until they moved in 1983.
I was hoping you would explore the SF red light district but you turn right and not go into Columbus Ave. & Kearney -> Stockton down to the bridge! ☹☹ Plus, you spend alot of time on Samsone too! Did not go much on Kearney! Love to see Kearney from Market Street to Columbus without the crossing of streets like you did on you California video!
400 Sansone Street SF is actually a residental high rise building lived in by people. I assumed wealthy people. Jim
Wow that firehouse was super modern looking must have been rebuilt recently.
Ww
Good video. Enjoyed the banter.
There use to be 100's of Golden Gate buses bringing commuters in and out of Marin and Sonoma counties to work in the city every day, now there are just 6 routes with few commuters. All the bus routes and all the drivers are gone, not suspended gone. I expect AC transit, SamTrans and BART have probably done the same. Looks like the financial district will have to be turned into condos.
I used to ride in San Francisco before there were E-bikes to make the job so slick. I have tried mounting a camera on my bicycle at the gooseneck and they are shakey. Having thicker tires and a suspension is probably keeping the camera a lot more stable.
This is very depressing and when I came here in 1980 I worked in this area as a Temp worker. It was busy and vibrant 24/7, never saw doughnuts in that area in all the years that I worked down there. Thank you for showing up the area. Life will never go back to what it was before 2020. Work life has shifted to being online and at home working. So sad. It is time for a new paradigm shift of how this City does business again. I hope the City planners are working over-time to figure out what will be the next shift in business and commerce.
You dont have any snow in your city ? 🤔
Change the nem
They are running for their lives lol
