Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick sold their charming West Village townhouse in 2021 for an impressive $15 million, a significant leap from the approximately $3 million they initially paid in 2000. This beautiful residence, covering approximately 4,000 square feet over three stories, dates back to circa 1905 and features a classic brownstone base with an iconic New York stoop. Located on Charles Street, this townhouse is nestled in one of New York City's most desirable neighborhoods. Though Parker, Broderick, and their three children said goodbye to this home, they aren't leaving Manhattan. The couple spent $34.5 million in 2016 on two nearby townhomes, which they plan to merge into a 14,000-square-foot megamansion featuring a 2,000-square-foot private garden. The renovations and construction are estimated to cost more than $50 million.
Next, we explore their Bridgehampton house, purchased around 2001. Located in the charming area of Bridgehampton, New York, this property was designed as a comfortable and stylish retreat from their hectic city life. The Bridgehampton house was meticulously designed by her longtime friend, Eric Hughes. Parker envisioned a home that could comfortably accommodate sandy feet, damp swimsuits, and numerous family get-togethers. Hughes, who transitioned from a career in Hollywood to interior design, used his exquisite taste to create a comfortable and stylish retreat for Parker and her family. Inside, Hughes opened up the living spaces by widening doorways and painting the walls with Benjamin Moore Super White to let the architecture speak for itself. The kitchen cabinetry, painted a glossy tulip red at Parker's request, stands out. The Bridgehampton house quickly became a haven for Parker, Broderick, and their son, James Wilkie, where they could decompress from their hectic schedules. Parker emphasizes that the house is all about comfort and relaxation. “For me and Matthew, it was important that the house not be too precious,” Parker says. The house is designed for activities like playing Ping-Pong and hosting gatherings with Parker’s family and friends.
Lastly, we move to the tranquil beauty of their Hamptons retreat. Outside the city, the couple owns a luxurious home in the Hamptons, a popular getaway for New York’s elite. Parker and Broderick expanded their real estate portfolio with an impressive oceanfront compound in Amagansett. Sharing the home with her husband Matthew Broderick, their charming cottage in Amagansett, New York, was built in 1940. The approximately 158-square-meter home features an impressive brick fireplace and a quaint kitchen adorned with vintage appliances. Parker and Broderick's home features three bedrooms, one of which is adorned with framed nautical signal flags. It also includes a single bathroom and a private backyard, perfect for entertaining or unwinding. The home's 1,200 square feet of interior living space are adorned with white paneled walls, vintage linoleum tiled floors, and vibrant pops of color.
