One epsode left to mention was the whole musical episode from Lucifer. (From one of the last seasons)
Running home to you from the flash
shoulda had emily do this one; wish i could have had a musical theatre take on this
Every musical number in Crazy Ex-girlfriend. That show is so underrated.
I just finished watching it and it was outstanding. Honestly one of the better shows. It handled so much, so well. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but it's so good.
I agree! My husband who hates musicals even liked it. It was a great show.
Without a doubt my favorite show
Remember That We Suffered is a classic
Thank you for adding “Julie and the Phantoms” because it really was a fantastic show and it’s such a pity that Netflix gave up on it.
Cheynne Jackson makes every show he's in so damn good.
I adored the entire episode "Once More with Feeling." It was an effective way to have the characters sing about their inner trauma or fears that they kept hidden from everyone else.
🎶They got...The Mustard...Oooooouuuuuttttt!🎶
To me, the single best episode of TV ever. Completely unexpected. Risky as fuck. Executed to perfection. The only downside is it’s the culmination of six seasons of show. Without the backstory, no reactor is really gonna get it. At the very, they need to watch 5-22 and 6-1 through 6-6. (4-6 through 4-10 wouldn’t hurt either.)
@@RhaegarTargaryen1st I just noticed, that Barney Stinson number either rips off, or I guess pays homage to ‘Mustard Man’
@@RLucas3000 That's not entirely true. I was one of those people who became interested in Buffy because I saw the musical episode first. I watched OMWF without knowing anything about the series, and thought it was great. Then I went back and watched the series from the beginning. Of course, little did I know how much I actually missed on that first viewing because I didn't know the characters. But knowing just made it that much richer and more impressive. :) (Btw, I wrote a chapter for a musical theater textbook about OMWF and Dr Horrible and I talk about this in there.) :)
@@RLucas3000 ...and season 1, otherwise they won't get the line, "It's do or die...hey, I died twice"
Valerie from Glee is good, but I would've put Smooth Criminal instead. It's just magnificent.
Yes ❤️❤️❤️
RiP Naya! Her performance of Valerie was iconic!
Yes her and Amber Riley were the voices in Glee and she will be missed dearly RIP Naya Rivera 💐🙏👼
Naya was chronically and criminally underused by Glee, and she wasn’t alone. They did a pretty fair job with showcasing a variety of the male voices, but the female cast was constantly cast aside in favor of Leah Michelle. They reflected it in the arguments and drama about all of Rachel’s solos, but I never saw her as the greatest talent. Yes, a skilled technical singer, but certainly Amber Riley and Naya Rivera in particular could go toe to toe with her easily.
@@pembrokelove absolutely eevn in the show Rachael always got solos but she has voice for Broadway performance but Santana and Mercedes I always loved their voices btw I just binge watched Glee Inwas always a fan of the show however my circumstances at the time I didn't have the time to get into all 6 season's wanted a few of them so I went back and started from the beginning I 😢 I 😅 I 🗣sang along with the songs that I knew I was thinking of just binge watching the performances
I’m shocked there is nothing from “Schmigadoon” - so soooo many gems in that show - also I think “Galavant” should have been included as well!
Yes GALAVANT!!!!!
I know, we needed a top 20, not 2 songs from Glee and smash.
From Galavant, I'd go with "Off With His Shirt!"
Galavant made 2 seasons of amazing songs, most of which were in medieval fashion.
Scrubs! Loved the musical episode and it made sense with the patient hearing everyone sing instead of talk. It had plot twists, risks, and fun performances.
So glad Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist made the list. That show went for it on so many performances, but Fight Song is one of my absolute favorites for how emotional it is.
It was Fight Song, the second rendition of 500 Miles, and The song that Emily sang while she was crying about her baby(forgot the title song) for me. Such great performances and strong emotions.
I feel like picking Glee numbers (especially several) is cheating for this list
Yes. Yes, it is. Same thing with Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist.
Buffy is my favorite TVshow and I’m pretty sure it always will be. So many amazing episodes with an overall fantastical and magical storyline.
Crazy ex- girlfriend is a great show. One of my favorites. I've watched it thru like 6 times lol.
I'm watching it for the 4th time now
What, no Guy Love from Scrubs? We need another list MsMojo.
Very upset with the lack of Scrubs.
Drop Dead Diva has some great musical numbers showcasing the very talented Brooke Elliott.
The Xena musical episode "the bitter suite" started it all, back in 1998. I loved that episode, I recorded it on VHS at the time and watched it way too much!
The buffy musical episode was another fav of mine, so good 😊
yes yes yes a thousand times yes.
The number one spot has a villain stolen from the DC universe, Glee took multiple spots, but not even a mention of one of the best musical TV shows: Galavant. They have a song all about how surprised they were that they got a second season, they parody everything from Grease to Les Mis, and they have the amazing Timothy Omundson.
1:53 Sara Ramirez is a Tony winner for _Monty Python's Spamalot_ in 2005 so it should be no surprise how well they can sing.
Glee personally was my favorite but in terms of musicals almost nothing can beat West Side Story(even though not a series) “America” will always be high in my books
Choosing whole episode of the Buffy is best choice❤️
I want to add ‘Powerful Magic’ from Once Upon A Time episode: The Song In Your Heart. Those two slayed it
Paradise by the Dashboard Light on Glee should have atleast been an honorable mention
Love's not a game from crazy ex-girlfriend should've been here. The way the majority of the cast gets to shine one last time and it just goes off so hard.
Glee had quite a few hard hitters. Valerie, Paradise by the dashboard light, river deep, mountain high, smooth criminal, and I lived to name a few
I'm hurt the flash didn't make it to the list with "put a little love in your heart"
My favorite would be Running Home To You from Flash, I tear up every time I hear it!
Yes! Any of the arrowverse musicals would have been great but running home to you is my favorite.
Guy Love from the Scrubs episode My Musical.
ngl, I was bummed when they chose two from Glee and Smash but none from the musical episode of Scrubs
That is a masterpiece! The whole EPISODE is. Love this show
@@lroux3413 me too. I think Guy Love should be a song from a best man to a groom with a lyric change.
@@kasu4 ikr.
The flash has a really good musical episode in season three that I defs think should be in the list. Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist's song super friend is one of my favs
I was so disappointed this didn't end up on the list at all. Running home to you was almost my wedding song. It's just so good. 😭
Not a single moment from the magicians?! They had some of the best musical numbers. Under pressure, 80’s rock in the desert, a les mis number! So underrated!
okay but what about Put a Little Love in Your Heart from the Supergirl x Flash crossover? that one slaps so hard and pulls the talents out of nearly all of the broadway performersin that universe.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer deserved to be number 1. The characters just songs their hearts
Yessss!! Let me Rest In Peace, spike singing that was phenomenal
Justice for Robin Sparkles
Megan Hilty and Katherine McPhee were electric together as Marilyn Norma Jean Monroe xoxo 💖
Julie and the Phantoms was underrated. Glitter, scares, music and a ghost club that sings and dances like AHS mixed with Glee, what's not to like???
5:12 Neil Patrick Harris won a 2014 Best Actor in a Musical Tony for the lead role in _Hedwig and the Angry Inch_ and was nominated for a Grammy Award the next year for the original Broadway cast recording of the play.
I would like to point out that Jeremy Jordan was super sick when they filmed “I heard you’re voice in a dream”. He had a fever and felt horrible but still filmed and it looks amazing.
how could you forget scrubs? they did have one musical episode, but i remember there were other episodes with musical numbers mostly in JD's head
I totally expected Guy Love at least....maybe Everything Comes Down To Poo because that song had no business being that catchy and entertaining lol
Yes. Not a musical number in the same way, but I love when Colin Hay sings Overkill on Scrubs. So good.
I love Crazy Ex Girlfriend but really Math of Love Triangles?!? There were way better songs. To not include Santino Fontina (Greg) is a travesty
Sooooo many better choices. Honestly I was surprised they picked that one, but I'm glad to see one of my favorite shows getting love.
Nothing from Lucifer? Lots of great songs, but loved "Another One Bites the Dust"
Oooooooo Lucifer dwarves to be on this list for sure!!!!
The montage of Luci singing Creep still makes me teary 😢
I think you need to do a "Part 2". There was a musical episode of "Chicago Hope", "Xena, Warrior Princess" (The Bitter Suite), and in "Scrubs" for the "Wizard of Oz" homage episode, a quartet singing, "Over the Rainbow"--not flashy, but moving. There was often music in "Ally McBeal", but I'm not sure about any musical numbers.
I forgot about that Sister, Sister performance! So good
So happy to see Smash on this list. Such an underrated show! Jeremy Jordan was amazing in this
RIP Naya Rivera and Amy Winehouse
All Galavant songs
That show was so underrated
@@vanessastegall agreed!!
"Running home to you" from the Flash, "If I was a boy" from Glee, "The Bitter Suite) from Xena Warrior princess, "Every breath you take" Ally McBeal RDJ..... We need a part two and possibly three
I vote for That 70s Show, The Drew Carey Show (theme), & The one episode of 3rd Rock From The Sun where Harry has a musical number.
you have to be more specific on Drew Carey Show....both the 5 O'Clock World & Cleveland Rocks numbers were used for the theme at one point. ....and now I have to edit my comment to include my favorite Drew Carey Show number, the dueling Time Warp/Groove Thing bit
The Buffy musical episode was good and heartbreaking at the same time, especially after Buffy revealed she was in heaven when she was dead and her friends pulled her out
Super Friend from The Flash/Supergirl crossover was really great
beyond happy to see the entire Once More With Feeling at number 1, but...not 1 honorable mention from Scrubs "My Musical"? Guy Love, I'm Dominican, Friends Forever, When The Truth Comes Out....so many great numbers. Or what about The Flash's Running Home To You? Or pretty much any Hep Alien performance from Gilmore Girls? Or that time Robert Downey Jr & Taye Diggs did the Barry White dance with Peter MacNicol's John Cage on Ally McBeal? Or Jurati's rendition of Shadows Of The Night on Star Trek Picard? Or anything from Galavant ( Off With His Shirt, the singing monks song and My Dragon Pal & me all really deserve mentions )? Or that epic number from The Drew Carey Show that saw Time Warp and Shake Your Groove Thing dueling back & forth?
and I take it animated shows just weren't considered since damn near every musical number from Simpsons, Family Guy and Phineas & Ferb deserves a mention....
Waiting For My Real Life to Begin from Scrubs gets me every time!
Fun Fact: Heather Morris (Brittany from Glee) is an uncredited dancer for HIMYM's Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit. You can see her at 5:20 in the pink shirt on the bottom right of the screen.
And! Justice for Zooey's Extraordinary Playlist and Smash! I loved both of them and they deserved so many more seasons!
You need to do another list. Skipping the entire Arrowverse musical (especially running home to you) and Dead girl walking from Riverdale..... Nothing from Galavant, Degrassi, euphoria, & nothing from Robin sparkles? I'm glad to see Crazy EXGF getting the love it deserves but there were so many better songs.
Drew Carey's Rocky Horror vs. Queen of the Desert dance off? I realize most of you folks are too young for this, but it was hysterical.
I still watch "Rock the Torah" from Raising Hope. Best eighties ever.
Missed out on the musical episode of the Flash, there's some absolute BANGERS in there
The Story is the kind of performance that just completely justifies doing a musical episode. Doesn't matter how bad the rest of the episode was, Sara Ramirez was there to clean up at the end of the episode so it was all OK
Three words...SUPERNATURAL ,the musical 🎼
It's so meta. (Sam, "I hate meta!"). Real monsters being slain during musical numbers, and it has Chuck's approval.
My fav.
Rumour Has It/ Someone like you from glee was a better pick
The scrubs musical episode was awesome too. I think the stand out songs are guy love and gonna miss you Carla
How did they miss “You’re a Douche, You’re a Douche” from Two and a Half Men? Great choreography shows how musically talented Jon Cryer and Ashton Kusher really are.
omg the even stevens one!! I still sing that to myself every once in a while.
I was PRAYING for Walk Through The Fire but the whole episode being there? Period the first list done right but like Let’s Go To The Mall?? That shit slaps
I feel like either "Jester's Recap" or "Dwarves vs Giants" from Galavant should have been on this list. Iconic numbers from a short lived show
So glad Buffy is recognised!! My favourite show. You missed the scrubs musical episode though that is amazing!
The whole Scrubs Musical Episode, hello????
Came here to say this!
My personal favorite from Smash is Don't Say Yes Until I Finish Talking. Christian Borle is brilliant.
I would've loved to have seen The Man That Got Away from Pose on here, that song tugged on the feels like crazy
Home too
So much to choose from with CExGF and you went with my favorite!
I totally agree with the number 1 spot. But not even an honorable mention for
Xena: Warrior Princess: The Bitter Suite
Or anything from ANT Farm.
I had the musical episode of Buffy on VHS tape for years. It was brilliant!
I was really hoping to see "People Like Us" from Doom Patrol!
Same! That's lived in my head rent free for years now :)
How y'all missed "Take On Me" in 'The Magicians'... I'll never know. Good list regardless
I was hoping to see the dream sequences Sam has in iCarly. I know they're more dancing and music than singing, but the whole case committed!
The singing episode is my all time favorite of Grey's Anatomy ❤️❤️❤️
When Stevie sings “Maybe This Time” on Schitt’s Creek .
My favorite musical episodes are from non musical shows Like Buffys musical episode, Flash Musical Episode, Supernatural the Musical.
The moon song from even Stevens was a cultural landmark
I don't disagree with your fine list, but I think Let's Go to the Mall" from HIMUM deserved an Honorable Mention at least.
Sara Ramirez unquestionably has the best voice of anyone on this list. Putting them at #10 with the horrible singing from Buffy at #1
is a crime.
I'm beyond offended they completely forgot about Galavant. Rude.
I wholeheartedly agree with Buffy being at number 1. That being said there was no love for Scrubs
My all-time favorite television musical moment was Bruce Willis wailing through 'Good Lovin' in the 'Atomic Shakespeare' episode of 'Moonlighting.'
Glee is kinda cheating but I would've picked "Boogie Shoes". Unique did not have to hit those notes!
I can't believe that nothing from Batman: the brave and the bold was on this list
Nothing from Eli Stone? That's to bad.
Top 20 Greatest Female Comic Book Villains!
Bunnies bunnies it must be bunnies
Or evil witches…. But witches they where persecuted…🤣
@@lemasander4932 and women power and I'll be over here
@@roeiirani7505 🤣👍🏻 classic Xander 😁
@@roeiirani7505 I also love the looks on Buffy an Giles when she sings „it’s do or die… hey I died twice“
So much great memories. I clearly have to rewatch the series and especially this episode
How did Scrubs get missed? Guy Love is perfect!!!
Why is the musical episode from Xena Warrior Princess not on this list?
Yes cxg is amazing!!!
Heart still broken that we will never get another season of Julie and the Phantoms. 💔💔 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
You should check out the Magicians they have some really fun musical episodes.
Thank you for including not one but TWO amazing numbers from Smash 🤩😍
The original ending to Will and Grace where they sang unforgettable lives in my head rent free!!!!!
You Just Got Slapped is way better than Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit IMO
Also this list for Galavant dirty. But I’m happy for the Crazy Ex Girlfriend and Smash love.
Nothing from Xena, Galivant, or Victorious?
Glad you gave some love to Smash, but there were some songs that hit a lot harder.
Yes. Sooo agree with number 1. Big fan of Buffy and love that episode
Breaks Yo Chest - Star.
30 seconds, but it made me a believer 🤣
The fosters Romeo and Juliet production should be on this list.
They should have included Emma's song from once upon a time and if you're including covers, when Mandy Patinkin sang.dont cry for me Argentina in an episode of Chicago hope
I was going to throw hands if Once More With Feeling didn’t show up 😂
The No-No-No song from the classic opening of a special "The Office". It's amazing what you can do when you dub everyone's voice and hope they can sync along with the professional singers. No one remembers any of these shows. Please. AND you left out all the examples in Cop Rock. Ever wonder why there are no more variety shows on tv?
Wow. Supernatural didn't even get an honorable mention!!!
