You guys are such life savers. Your videos have helped me out on several occasions. Recently my car started overheating but I wasn't losing coolant fast enough for it to start doing that so I'm definitely gonna change the thermostat. My 325Ci is sitting at almost 155k miles and I'm sure it has the same thermostat from factory. assume
Thanks for the video. My job was much easier as I have an electric fan. Popped it out in no time with all the room you could ever want to work with. Your video on bleeding the system was very informative too.
I want to thank you sooo much on the Video of rhe windows and locks I replace the module that's in the glove box and it fixed my windows( I have a 01 E46 station wagon slick top Sport )
I'm thinking of replacing my radiator on my 2000 323i what's a good replacement for high capacity gallon tank because it drinks fluids, I'm replacing the thermostat n water pump also.
some do and don’t, mine has a stock electric fan from factory while my buddies has a clutch fan, mine is a 2002 E46 325ci, while my buddies is a 1999 E46 323i.
Tell me why this is the second time I’m here in 2/3 years 😫 damn hoses & thermostat barely last me a few years. Hope it’s not a different leak, cause I feel like the parts I’m replacing (again) still look good but the leak was coming from this area
You don't need to drain radiotor. It's recomended to drain coolant from engine block not from radiator. The water drain plug is located on the exhaust side on 2 cylinder. But this is not needed. Only reason to drain coolant from block is that your engine won't get dirty of coolant when you remove thermostat. You can drain radiator and engine block if you want to change coolant.
40 year mechanic here and,,the more I work on BMW's ,the more I think BMW's are pieces of sht..and the way everything is put together is stupid and unreliable.. everything that should be made out of metal ,is made out of cheap shtty plastic..not a doubt in my mind that's exactly why they break down so much..best way to fix a BMW is to sale it or crush it..maybe run it off a cliff to make a awesome UA-cam video.. I've got a 325i that I fixed all kinda stuff on and now it runs perfect,,and I don't want it to break down anymore so I pushed it in my backyard a few years ago and let my pitbull start sleeping in it ..he seems to like chewing on the steering wheel and seats,,so that's really the only good thing I have to say about BMW's .. anyways,, thanks for sharing these repair videos..I'm more then sure you guys are helping tons of people that own these piece of sht cars !!!

Thermostats are that simple that they dont break. Should have just replaced the gaskets.

@@lakers-1 yup my 328i isn't warming up fast I replaced the sensor for the oil temp and have the same issue so it's definitely my thermostat
