We Found Dead Rising 2 DEVELOPER MAPS (CO-OP)

- Today I am joined by a friend to explore some recently discovered DEVELOPER levels in Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. These maps come from a Pre-Release Review copy of the game for PC, which was given to us by / @thekempy
These maps are able to be installed into the vanilla Steam copy of the game, allowing us to play them through multiplayer, which is exactly what we did!

A Game series that is forgotten at this point, Dead rising 1 went through an interesting development which should never be forgotten.
Video ideas? dead rising 2, 3, 4 or other older games and what it took to build them.
I know at this point getting copies of beta/ alpha / pre alpha stage for 3-4 / modern games might be impossible but there's other games outthere where you could create the same thing, a museum to remember.
Please. Please. Please. Make more videos. I have watched every single one! ❤️

Some of those map's really were a Test of patience to fully explore.

There are developer test maps in World of Warcraft you can teleport to using a private server. And one of those test maps was essentially the map you're on. Different quadrants of textures with different material sounds to test how it sounds, looks, how it transitions to the next sound, etc.
This channel and the reboot rumours have got me loving Dead Rising again
I'm just saying, Keiji Inafune would nevr have made an impossible loop, further proof Dead Rising should never have been given to the west 😤

I grew up with the DR games and is my favorite game series ever. I remember watching you for the first time in 2014. I love how this series and it's community is still strong. Even after the series stopped after 2016. Keep it up!
This is so neat! Back when video games had proper testing and care put into them.
I just replayed DR1 at the end of march (birthday month) for the billionth time and im still not sick of it, the simple yet unique magic that game brought will never be matched for me.
DR2 while good still doesnt capture what made the first so good but the care put into it and the following sequel is still great, they didnt match it but they cared.

I still love the Dead Rising trilogy. 1 is superior to its sequels but I consider them worthy, if not in gameplay than at least in telling the story in a satisfying way.

with alot of emphasis on vehicles and especially the motorcycles, maybe there was a scrapped racing minigame and it just ended up becoming terror is reality online or whatever it was

This reminds me of what people used to do back in the day... just play around in games and have the sort of talks you'd have over the weekend after school's over or work is done for the day. Good vibes. Makes me want to get DR2 and find a friend to play with.

In the survivor test room I think the clothes were there to test interactions for quests.
Such as when you need the suit for Bibi or when you need to be naked for that chick by the elevators

1:52 "Why are there pants there" I'm not sure if this is just some random developers own test level, but I know that whenever I need to find a bug with an item, I'll just drop the object in question into my test level wherever I happen to be so I can figure out what's bugging with it, I usually end up with tons of random objects at random locations until I get annoyed by them and clean them off if I'm done fixing them, so it could be just that, or it could be nothing who knows :)

I just realized after all these years of watching you, you sound like crit1kal.
i just got into Dead Rising and i was kinda wanting to make a clone of it somewhat. And these metrics levels are exactly what im looking to copy/make for an application to Capcom (except instead of Servobots i want NetNavi masks because i like Battle Network. Not to diminishe Legends/64 but mmbn:LC was recent and i feel that crossover would be more recognized)
How do you activate the debug menu on OTR for PC? Or is it a specific copy?
Their is a rumour that Capcom is working on a Dead Rising remake and reboot and Frank West should return and the original voice actor should return and Capcom should ask Keiji Inafune if he wants to be involved with the Dead Rising remake and reboot.
