Its very hard to believe how STUPID Leyland management where Just because this was an AEC they dropped it ,, yet went ahead with thar horrible BMC 698 And the very tired 680 , not to mention the head les wonder the 500 , IN my opinion ( apprenticed truck mechanic 1976 ) AEC engines where much better quality and better made
Well done Steve, a little AEC history preserved and probably improved. I can't remember, is that going into and Ergo Mandator? I know you won't be thrashing it on a regular basis but how do you overcome the original short comings?

That looks so neat and tidy with those injector pipes all shiny. And no torx or e torx bolts in sight. Great work as usual.
