Vizio could be on a big comeback. With Walmart buying them I would imagine Onn is going to be absorbed into Vizio and there will be a big focus on getting good cheap TVs out . Onn was doing ok and Vizio only took a hit because of covid That MQX Series was amazing. I hope they go back to that build
Great review, very informative. My 10 year old Vizio 1080 res TV just crapped out last night so I ordered one of these V435-J01. Thanks for your content. :-)
Thanks for your video. I just picked this up. While I went to buy a cell phone cover, the lady in front of me was returning it. I asked why, and she said took it out of the box and it was too small. So I bought it "open box" for $140. I'm not expecting it to function like my Sony but it will work great on the spare bedroom.
Thanks for the well put together review. I have an older model 32 inch Vizio that's not a smart tv with 4 HDMI ports with 1360 x768 resolution and still works great. 2 years ago I decided to get a larger 43 inch Smart TV because it helps with my job and went with Hisense, this TV crap out on me after 1 year, it was replaced with the warranty and crap out again after 1 year. The company is refunding me because they don't have the same model anymore. I say all this to say... I'm going back with the Vizio brand and ordered the VIZIO 43" Class V-Series 4K UHD LED Smart TV V435-J01 from Walmart today and waiting for it to get delivered.
Thanks again Tech Steve for the review!😁 Whooo Weee I received my TV yesterday evening and I have got to say the color from your review does not do justice when you have the actual TV. I'm sticking with VIZIO. Oh and something that others should know that I had to find out the hard way was you will need the 2.1 HDMI cord to use for the HDMI ports for this TV. I connected my 2.0 HDMI's that were already connected to my pc's and was wondering why I kept getting the "No Signal" Everything is ALL GOOD NOW 😉
Got this model (mine is the v435-j01, so it may/may not be this exact one as of 2024 but many of those features are the same) on Black Friday 2023 from Target and connected my series x to it and have been loving it. Glad it has the 2.1 hdmi ports; big selling point
My local Walmart I work at has a clearance deal for a 50” 4k Vizio for $167 before tax, ima get it tomorrow that’s a good deal considering inflation prices and all that.
Another great tv review Steve. I had the Vizio 60" LCD HDTV 120Hz E600i-B3 and it lasted 9 years. I loved this tv. The sound, picture clarity, movie, gaming and no pixels or visual flashing, blacks were black with very minimal grey. I wish I could buy it again. I know that Vizio has partnered with Walmart and you can only find Vizio at Sams or Walmart now. My last one I purchased at Costco 9 years ago but they no longer sell any Vizio's. Vizio has a new model the Quant. Pro that is 120Hz but sadly only comes in two sizes. It's at around $600 but after having this new Samsung Crystal UHD DU7200 I wish I could go back to my 9 year old Vizio because in my opinion the Vizio is far superior to the Samsung. I'd love to see you review their newest model...hint, hint ; ) thanks again for all you do to bring these reviews to your channel.
New subscriber!!!! Awesome tutorial!!!! Just ordered. Vizio 65 inch UHD. Thought I’d search UA-cam for the ins and outs. Your video helped a lot. Looking for the exact model. Keep up the excellent content. 👍🏾👍🏾
I had this tv for a couple of years and I will say this is the best tv I’ve ever had. The fact it had 2.1 hdmi for gamers is great. I never had any issues ever when playing on my ps5. The sound is great. Amazing color as well. I couldn’t bring this to college unfortunately so I have to downgrade, this make me realize how great this tv was. My goodness!
Just bought one from Wallmart 65inch for 350+tax and they even do free shipping, I'm impressed about the 120Hz 1080p, I will use the tv most likely for gaming so Im satisfied, I was not looking for the newest tech availa thou.
If I get one of these, I want to use it just for a second monitor. How would I set it up. It only has to be 1080P and refresh at 60hz but it must be 55 inch to match my other TV. PS plugged into my PC.
Just got a 43-inch Vizio 4K HDR10 Dolby Vision TV today for my Xbox Series X. Only cost $216, and that includes tax since it was on sale. It sadly doesn't go any higher than 60hz, but that's ok since I only play single-player games most of the time. Great picture quality for the price, and it brings out the colors. I've always been a fan of Vizio since 2020. I won't buy any other TV brand.
Should've saved your money and buy a TCl Q7 they went down a lot. Even playing single player games in 120hz is a must. You'll never want to go back to 60hz you can see the judder when playing games
Thank you sir. I’ve been TV shopping for a week and didn’t realize how out of the loop I was with new tech. Your channel has helped me feel confident in my selection
Your wifi name made me chuckle LOL. Thanks for the review! Was torn between this and the sony with dolby vision. I think this is what Im going for. The sony is far more expensive.
When I get really annoyed at my visio TV, I like to find random Visio TV reviews to warn you against anything Visio. I will never buy any Visio product ever again. I bought a TV and through forced updates, I basically have a Roku only slower and with less options. The TV was good when I bought it. Now, it has become so slow and clunky that it is unusable much of the time. It updates all the time. I can never be sure that when I turn on the TV, I can just watch it without updates, setting up the menu system (again), etc. Awful product that hardly is able to work as an actual TV. Just a dumb clunky streaming device. The sound on this Visio is awful too. Can't hear people speaking, but when the music kicks in you'll wake the neighbors. Edit: sorry for long post...ended up really liking your vid. Good stuff. I'll still never give visio my trust again though. Lol
My one complaint with this TV is you’re not able to change the screen reader voice. It’s just the standard talkback voice. It’s kind of hard to understand sometimes but I think I manage for the most part.
I'm surprised that Vizio products aren't as competitive as before. One major problem they have is poor quality control. I have a Vizio OLED that I like very much. I just wish they would improve their quality control department. 😂.
@@TechSteve hey Steve it feels that way to me too. Too bad for them I think they could have survived if they tried a little harder. TCL and Hisense has surpassed them bigtime.

Recently got a 50 inch one Saturday and plugged my ps5 up to it picture and visuals were great! but it would flicker every time I closed a game or opened a new one.
Thanks for the review. Did you say this supports Dolby Atmos? Or is that only for passthru? I'm checking the Netflix app on the TV and it only shows the Dolby Vision attribute for various movies.
I'm watching your video on my 11 yr old 1080P Vizio D series I believe haha I wanna upgrade so bad. I've narrowed it down between Samsung S89C and Sony A80L. The Samsung seems like a really good value but I think I'd prefer Google OS than Tizen although I've never had a Samsung it's seems like a lot of people hate the OS.
I would go for the sony, best cpu chip, dobly vision, no OS trickery, second best sony tv on the market not counting usless 8k models. Samsung will littery make your tv worse then lunch day in the name of “fixing” an issue via an OS uptday just so it seems that the tv will last longet And hopes that you wont notice it, hence they charging more for less.
Go with the A80L Sony! I have had nothing but trouble with my Samsung. I have 2 Sony TV's - one 43" and one 85" and not a problem. Wonderful pictures! In my opinion, even though Sony is more expensive, it's worth every cent.
