Is it a bargain for a 4K TV?

The 2023 V-Series offers a lot of value for its price. The V-Series has an intuitive remote and supports hands-free voice commands. But a few tweaks to its Smart TV platform SmartCast would go a long way with improving the overall user experience.

I've loved Vizio for years. With the amount that I have used my previous 42" it has been solid. But wanted an upgrade. Love this tv
Thanks for the review! All the info I needed.
All I know is my 2023 v series has a very nice clear picture and I've used it for casting too and it works perfectly
I just got the 50in for $179
Just got the 75in for like $450 being black Friday. Love my current 65in. It’ll go from the living room to another room and this new one will replace it. My current one has been great. Hope this one holds up too.
Excellent presentation and review 🍷
I have a 75inch version of this TV and I haven't had any problems this TV is for a dark room too
I love my V-series 50" TV with tuner that I have in the bedroom. Picture is nice (once I got it dialed in) both in the dark and in bright situations. I don't use the game mode on that TV. I have an E-series 55" in the living room that, although it doesn't have Dolby vision, it does have 12 local dimming zones and better color after I dialed it in. For the average person, Smartcast would be fine. But, for me, I needed a few apps including HDHomerun, which Smartcast doesn't support. HDHomreun recommends Plex, which doesn't support 4K or ATSC 3.0... So I got an Onn (Walmart) Chromecast + Google TV 4K for the bedroom and a standard Nvidia Shield for the living room.
Is there an optical output port on the tv to hookup a sound bar?
yes
Hey Jim, I can't find any help on my USB Flashdrive with MP4s on it, to play the whole movie (s). Only about 3 minutes of each. I have a Vizio 435 J01 HDR and it has 1 slot for USB 2.0. My flashdrive is a 3.0 that I am trying to use. I only have 2 options in formatting USB, NTFS or exFAT. So I tried another Flashdrive, also 3.0 with the FAT selection and it doesn't play the full shows either. Can you help me, or anyone that might read this?
Ese tv tiene HDMI 2.1??
The tv is nice but… The remote is missing the Info button. Why??? I have to use my remote from a Vizio tv I have had for at least 5 or 6 years to view the info on channel and program.
Since I bought mine it has been a regular struggle with the remote and connection. It is not my wifi, because everything else works normally.
Just bought a Vizio v series 50 inch and there is a light sphere on the bottom right of the tv. I was wondering it there's a fix for this without opening it up
Sometimes "light leaks" can be worked out but, a new TV is covered for that in the warranty.
Same here, I think I caused it while mounting. I flexed the edge of the screen carefully and the wrinkle popped out. It was SO annoying when I had it.
How do I access local antenna channels like 2, 4, 7, 13.3?
Just follow the steps in this guide: cordcuttingreport.com/how-to-get-local-channels-smart-tv/
Always choose vizio. Never dissatisfied. Once I choose a samsung because I love my samsung phone, it sucked. Went back to vizio
You need to reconsider.... cu7000 model is best bang for you're buck! I own one and don't regret it
@@diamondknight4815 I'll check it out
got my 43 inch for $240 not bad especially the free vizio tv channels and movies on demand i get
I do agree with you the SmartCast looks very similar to Google TV UI. I have a Vizio M Series 2015 55 inch and a Vizio P Series Quantum 2018 65" they both have Chromecast with Google TV 4K devices connected to them. Btw I'm not a fan of Vizio SmartCast UI.
Great review. ?, I know you paired Bluetooth headphones to it, so I assume I could repair a Bluetooth speaker to it as well.
You definitely can, it's just very confusing at first because you have to pair it by treating your speaker/soundbar like headphones. It does work, though.
SmartCast is a nightmare. It’s super glitchy. Matter of fact Vizio TV’s are a nightmare. I’m a Maintenance Director at a skilled nursing center. 6 months after installing Vizios TV’s the picture began to fail. We’ve had to replace 8 TV’s so far. They are not durable and most certainly aren’t designed for a setting where they’ll be on most of the time. Meanwhile the 10 year old LG’s are still holding up. 🤷🏻♂️
75”???
I used to buy only Vizios. My last one only lasted a couple years and the screen went dark. I think I’ll go with a Samsung now. Might even try a Toshiba.
No on the Toshiba. I have a 55” one that I got in 2019. It just recently died. Major flickering and un-watchable
Hisense
I've had a 32" Samsung LCD TV since 2009 and it still works as good as the day it was new. I just bought a 65" Onn LED TV because the 32" was too small for my new house. If the Onn doesn't last, I'll just get a Samsung.
Does this tv support 120 hz?
Not anymore in the newest update the 120hz for my PS5 is gone. Like before the update my PS5 was perfect running 120 frames and everything till it updated now it's capped at 60 Vizio sucks
@@JustDonte-my Fortnite is still running 120HZ on PS5
@@JustDonte-do you think it would work for my xbox?
@@AWAK3N I got a pc so idk if they fixed yet
@@visibletoallusersonyt hopefully don't try to update the TV tho because it takes out a lot of good features or the update makes it worse
I just got one of these, and while the picture is great, there's a high-pitched electronic buzzing sound if you set the backlight too high (over 50) that's very apparent if you set your tv to low volume. If you game, settings are preset whenever you start it up and the buzzing is even worse. Playing with the options did not help.
Nice vid ,,I Have a question does the 4K be alright for standard TV stations ? Or should I get the non 4K smart TV for standard TV ?
Yes it will
@@deraw94 Forget it now if you would have responded to me I wouldve kept the 4K TV SMH
@@DELTRANIO99 naw go back to the past and do it all over again

Is this the VIZIO Class V-Series 4K LED HDR Smart TV Model V555M-K01 ?
What exact model please
I think that's the Vizio V-Series 43" inch
I hate smart cast. It’s terrible. Vizio I think has gone down hill the last 5-6 years. But very good review
Love tbh
I feel the exact opposite. Like 6 years ago vizio was bottom of the barrel crap. They are a lot better now.

Do not buy the V series Vizio TVs. Bought one 7 days ago and found out that it will not display at 4K on my Xbox one S and Xbox Series X and PS5 it defaults to HDMI compatibility mode and scales back to 1080p this is not acceptable. I called Vizio customer support and she had me on hold for an hour and came back and said I had to upgrade to the M series to get 4k gaming this is BS. My LG did 4k no problem. I am returning it fuc Vizio.
The V series has 4K HDR gaming mode. You need to change the settings though. I think you just had an inexperienced customer assistant.
@@lilkamabeast Sure because she wasn't a product engineer and she never had me with a Microsoft engineer on a three-way call. You know better.
@@elir.torres8642I have a d series you actually have to manually activate the 4k through the settings upon startup very simple honestly , and also on Xbox you also have to activate the 4k through the settings on the console as well … Very frustrating and confusing for some but it’s just what we have to go through especially with cheaper TVs … Vizio is at least better then Henises and TCL which I regretted buying …
I have multiple v series from the past few years and my PS5 runs 4k 60hz on them all. I've even got an older D series that does 1080p 120hz that honestly imo is way smoother than the 4k 60hz... IDK dude, maybe you should trade in your Xbox and come over to the dark side
You probably need to upgrade your hdmi cable it sounds like to me.
10 years ago Vizio was dog shit. Nowadays they seem like they are a lot better.
Terrible T.V. purchased 2 a year apart and the rca sound outputs didn't work on both tvs...
this tv has 3 hdmi 2.1 ports yet states everywhere "variable refresh rate" or "60hz".
Cut the bullshit. Is it 120hz?
It's only 60 hz
Jeffrey Koenig, et al. v. VIZIO, Inc., Case No. BC 702266, in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles The Settlement resolves a lawsuit alleging that VIZIO’s advertisement of certain of its Televisions as having a “120Hz Effective Refresh Rate” or “240Hz Effective Refresh Rate” was false and misleading. VIZIO denies all of Plaintiff’s allegations and contends that it properly labeled each television.
Our V-Series has NO OTA MENU!!!
Were you able to figure out how to add the OTA menu? We're looking at the 65" V655M-K04 from Sam's club and I see it has the coax input, but the remote has no tuner buttons on it so I'm concerned that OTA will not work on it.
Eh tv is ok.. u get wat u pay for.. for $350 it is wat it is.. all thes complaints I’ve seen in here makes no sense if y’all want a btr tv go spend more and keep in mind all these TVs are not built to last!!
@LosoBanks332 too late my nigga I got rid of the tv
@LosoBanks332 trust me I did all settings the results weren’t great
Exactly 💯 thank you

Worst TV. Insignia is better. Best and will last LG. Tried these 3 my 1st choice always LG .
Is it worst for sure?
LG and Vizio are made at the same place
@@robertmetzger7359lol right. TV’s are like all other electronics. Sometimes you get a tank and Ferrari all in one, but once in a while you get a dud. Just hope everything was soldered and connected correctly when you get it to the house.

I hate they took the numbers off the remote and cable option. Won't buy. Who wants to talk to a tv🤔
Well that what samsung did
@xboxgamerz22 why I bought another remote that has numbers.

You must be over 50
No UA-cam...no sale!
It does have UA-cam. It had UA-cam sense the 2019 model.

@gotdamnjimi9758 thanks!
This guy’s voice gave me depression :/
😆
His face says it all 😂😂😂😂
I was going to see if he'd share his tranquilizer connection~!!!
The worse TV ever. Connect and disconnect all by itself, remote never works, selling remotes different every year. Nope do not recommend, not even to my enemy.
That doesn’t happen bruh
Samsung and Lg is the best... i prefer samsungs operating system tizen, over Lg web os. So i chose the Samsung cu7000 ❤
Vizio tv is the worst purchase i ever made and i own a Ben Simmons jersey.
Dang they went down on quality crap I had my current one going on 7 years
I think all these tv brands are typically a roll of the dice. Usually on the better side. You may have a Walmart “Onn” tv for 10 years and it’s just fine but then have a Sony or Vizio tv and it breaks down after a year or two but your friends same model lasts 10.
DAMN 😅😅
Had one for 17 years 😂😂😂 jokes on you
