Tara, when you already established your customer base, you should consider finding a production company that does small to medium batches (anything from five to fifty kg). That would take hard work away, but you should continue to supply your customers. Just a thought.❤
While I'm familiar with that capital centric bait and switch it seems to me that her customers, also her youtube audience, are buying that personal touch she gives each batch. I might be wrong.

I have just recently found your channel and I am so happy that I did. I am so excited about your new upcoming videos. I have recently taken a year off from my business and it feels really good. Thank you showing all of the different tools and recipes that you use. My joints also started hurting so badly and I cut out wheat and sugars. I started to heal now I watch all grains I eat and my body seems to be reacting better. I also try to eat gut healthy foods. It is hard to not eat cake and the tasty things but dealing with pain is harder. Take care of you, and I look forward to you new videos.

Aww sweetheart. This is a divine sign. I’m starting to formulate this week/next and I’m overwhelmed. I built my lab and I see that I have a long way to go but I’m starting small with either a body oil and a butter wash. I think I’m ready to accept that I can make products with preservatives. I was intimidated by the process of calculations but Tara, I’m so grateful that you have committed to serving us by teaching. I teach as well but it’s definitely different and one thing I’ve learned is that remaining a student in some way helps to teach. Thanks again and I’m here to support you, professor!

I'm nearing the end of my binging your entire beginners series as I'm coming over from purely anhydrous products. Seeing your growth over time has been incredible. Sending you so much love, it is so hard when chronic pain takes over. I remind myself that I cant do my best work in the world if im not taking care of myself as a disabled human.
You need stainless steel in the appropriate grade for corrosion. There are many types of stainless steel, and they have different compounds. I know when I’m building something outside I use stainless steel no lower than 304. There’s a kitchenware stainless steel that shouldn’t rust and I believe that may possibly be 302 and then you have marine strength for boats, and I use that as well when I really want something durable outside in the elements, and then there is much stronger than that which would be industrial use. Obviously, the higher the number the more cost. Hope that helps. 😊

Another thing you could do is sell based on inventory only, instead of making things to order. I know some people who sew items and they only sell based on in-stock inventory. They would lose their mind otherwise! It's good to have a "request item" or restock notification feature on the website.

You can make stuff in the metal bowls you just need to make sure they are dry when you’re done
They will only rust if you let them air dry or keep water in them

Regarding your stainless steel bowl getting rust, there is a grade which does not rust even when kept in water (304, 316, 316-L for reactive metals)

Saying tjings like "hey, before you go, can you help me with whatever" or saying "hey, I tjought you quit!". I find that rude and very unkind thing to say. Especially since you've helped the formulating community si much. I guess I find most people to be self absorbed and not caring about you personally!

It’s the stainless steel. The best is purchased from restaurant suppliers. Good stainless does not rust like that.

About how much money do you think you’ve invested in your supplies. Ingredients, machinery, bowls, spoons etc? I love formulating and I’ve spent maybe around ~300 for my supplies. I‘m just very curious!

Tara, think about doing a live UA-cam Q&A session, where you can sit and the subs can conversate with you and each other. As well, you can embed a payment donation link to help supplement your time doing it. You may need to get someone to assist with the stream to help keep up with the comments and questions. I get on these all the time, I think you might enjoy it once you get used to it. I do believe it would be so much easier than your typing responses.

Dont know how you kept going especially with all the products you had to make..find a good physical therapist and i also found swimming helps.. I didn't understand. Why you gonna stop your business
i don’t want to hire employees and I sell to much product for me to keep up on my own so i’m not selling bulk or private label anymore and i’m getting rid of all retail products. I also have carpal tunnel now so i am unable to work as much as I used to.
i want to focus on youtube full time.
i will be selling formulas on my website now instead and be doing periodic limited addition product drops.
maybe your steel bowls are the wrong quality, there are different grades, again you are so cute
