I know this video was probably taken a while ago… I love your videos by the way. You’ve helped me tremendously with the exact questions I have and I’ve been dying to start my own thing. You truly are an inspiration and your videos are just simple and quirky type of fun that’s very welcoming because I’m just the same 😆 I’ve found that getting a paper shredder and tissue paper helps save space and money when you need the crimped stuffing paper. I’ve got a small cottage home under 1000 sq. Ft. I’m trying to wrap my mind on how I’m gonna manage my inventory and supplies plus packing! I’ve got 2 kids and there’s creative ways I’ve had to go around having hobbies and where to store them

@@TaraLeee Tara wanted to give you a heads up but you mentioned in a video think it was last year but you mentioned one of the suppliers you said you stuck with charged a flat rate no matter how much you ordered ..I wanted to let you know of another company....they sell mostly vitamins supplements but they do sell a lot of the stuff that is used in skin care products but it's called Piping Rock.....I've ordered from them in the past and never had an issues ...their flat rate is under $4 if you order over the weekend order won't be sent in t til Mondays wanted to let you know before I forgot! Have a happy Thanksgiving!

I’m in the process of starting my own business however I haven’t done it yet becase I’m not sure what to write on the product labels. What do you write on yours? Do you write any warning statements on yours such as you are not reliable for allergic reactions?

Yup always a hair net 🥰 my cat isn’t allowed in that room either. Lol
I pack my orders in a separate room now so I don’t wear one when I pack orders since I’m not in my formulating room.
Hello. I am a beginner and just found out about your channel. Do you have a video on what types of ingredients to add to each phase of formulating the products? I have most of the ingredients I want for my first cosmetic formula but don't know which phase they belong in.
I’m glad you found my channel. 😁 & no, I don’t have a video like that because ingredients don’t always belong to the same phase. So it would be hard to put every ingredient in its own category because it can change depending on the formula and what you are making. The main thing you want to keep in mind is if ingredients are heat sensitive or not. That will be specified in the formulating guidelines. Also, typically oil based ingredients are grouped together like in emulsions and water phase ingredients are grouped together. But again this can vary. Like if you are using xanthan gum you would want to do a separate phase of mixing xanthan gum with glycerin first.
If you read the formulating guidelines to your ingredients you purchase this will also share a lot of info on what it should be mixed with and when

I notice that you weigh your item after wrapping them to create your shipping label on etsy, but when adding the shipment cost for the item in your store dont you also add a standard weight so that when a customer purchases an item, the customer gets charged that amount for shipment fee? Does weighing the item again after wrapping it and adding the amount on the shipping label will cause a difference in the cost?

Is there a reason you keep the lids and the jars in separate boxes?
they come separate so I keep them separate. I don't always have equal amounts of lids to jars since they are ordered separate.
