Congratulations on your purchase! You are gonna love it! The rubber o-ring is a kickstand holder. The real reason for the cable-operated choke was in racing enduros you can richen up the carburetion on high-speed transit roads so you don't blow it up. A lot easier to reach for a lever on The handlebar than trying to find the choke lever underneath the gas tank somewhere.
That makes sense, the lever. I'm not an enduro racer but the lever might be helpful running on Macadam between trails. I'm also gonna have to add bark busters and hopefully find a rear rack. I should be able to plate it where its going
Rieju use to market a 125cc 2-stroke sports bike here in the UK. But I went down the Italian route with Aprilia RS125's & a Cagiva Mito. But I loved the 2002 Gas Gas 450 FSE that I owned 15yrs ago, boy could she fly. Keep up the interesting vids Dave 👍
😂 looks like fun here in Illinois at halls Ducati gas gas they had a black one it was beautiful, I call it rye joo some others do as well The rubber strap I believe is for the kickstand for tough jumps / terrain
I think that bike looks much better than the “cookie cutter” off road bikes currently coming out of Japan. It definitely looks like it has more than enough power!! Thanks for Sharing!!!
Hi, I'm currently looking into getting one of these Rangers in the UK, however I'm unable to find anything about what range you can look at getting out of a tank of fuel? Thanks
32:1?! These call for 50:1 if you’re using synthetic. 40:1 with conventional. I have a Rieju 300 racing. Absolutely love it. Would have bought the ranger but got a good deal on a barely used one. Kick start them when cold. Only use the starter when it’s warm. The rubber hanger is for the kick stand when the spring back breaks 😂
How do you like it compared to the X Trainer. I'm 60 also and vertically challenged. I was looking for a ranger 300 awhile back but couldn't find any close. I ended up with a Gasgas ex350f. Great bike but still interested in a 2 stroke. Thanks and be safe
I have more riding to do with it for sure, but my first impressions are, suspension is much better than the stock Xtrainer, the throttle response/delivery is less friendly which maybe tunable and personally, I like the oil injection on my Beta, but I understand some folks remove it anyway. And the linkage on the Ranger is adjustable for even more vertically challenged riders.
That rubber piece you fiddled with is for your kickstand to keep it from potentially getting knocked down while riding. Question.... what did you mean by a safety switch on the clutch?
If I was the king of Rieju I'd change the name from Rieju to Kickass-ass. because it is kickass and if you say ass again at the end it reminds you of gas gas.
I really love the beach tho, and there are so many more places to ride, one can ride for hours, but yes. It is pretty up here when its green. List price was 8799 + 475 freight. They was a 750 rebate. I think the price went up for 2024. The other models might be a bit more.
Spaniard here, nice looking rieju brother, my dad is gonna get one soon aswell, hope u enjoy one of the only old school bikes that still up to date ;)

Spaniard here, I love when people outside of Spain buys a Rieju, you should come to COSTA BRAVA, SPAIN that is where Rieju's are made
Rayhoo, best way of sayin it
That sounds good! I'm gonna use that!

Yep yep the rubber strap is a holder for the kickstand for sure. Keeps it in place when things get extreme. 🏁🤙
Oh, that makes sense, and is probably smart for the kickstand
Awesome!
Like a modern KDX! Lol
Bought a 22 Ranger 200. Dropped main and slow one size. Jet Needle dropped one clip. Really cleaned it up. In Wisconsin about a 1000ft.
That's interesting. I wonder what the sniffer reading would be on a dyno in stock form. Maybe . . .
@@bullpencycles pig rich.

Thanks for watching
It may not be better than a Jap bike, but it beats anything coming from China, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to register it in Florida yet
👍 Nice . Sick of KTM and Jap bikes .

I like a good old school family run shop headed by an enthusiast. Just a breath of fresh air

Thank you. They used to sell Husaberg at Matto before KTM bought Husaberg too. Ironic

modern US spec road bikes have a switch built into the clutch lever, so you can't start the bike in gear unless the clutch is pulled in.
@@bullpencycles oh ok. I never thought of that. Lol

Lol.
Interesting bike, how do they compare price wise to the KTM products ?
To me that Pennsylvania farm land is more beautiful than any beach in Florida.

Sweet bike! Time to lean her out, she's running a bit rich! I assume they must ship them rich for break in purposes?
lol battery hold down
Ree-A-Who
So purdy.Ranger sits a little lower.Great low/midrange power.Perfect bike for the gnar. 300 or 200?That is the question.
Yeah, I have to do a followup video. Still waiting on a few things from the distributer.
The name needs to go bye bye.
Shorten Rieju as Gas Gas
Right On, maybe they can buy the name back from KTM's bankruptcy!
