Is it possible to export this as a height map? It's impossible to smooth the landscape, which forces us to basically re-import the landscape so we can actually use unreal engine tools that don't work with these mountains. Is it possible export the landscape, so we can use brushes on the mountains later?
thanks a lot. However though, there are many questions unanswered at the marketplace . Subscribers are having serious troubles with this plugin . Care to check ? I'd really buy this but now I am not sure even about the latest compatibility. Thank you.
more questions from UE5 - how are you able to smooth or flatten your terrain after using these brushes? seems like making edits or adjustments to the terrain completely breaks the blueprints - is there a way to flatten or commit the blueprints to a landscape? (nevermind, checking off combined layers fixes this issue)
How would you go on about texturing these mountains? Let's say that in Gaea, I created a heightmap and its texture, would you be able to apply these textures on top of the brushes, regardless of their position? Basically, how would you texture this using external masks and not an auto material from Unreal?
A built in splat map functionality would be quite cool, but I haven’t figured out a way to implement that yet, and I fear that it’s quite too complicated for my blueprints knowledge. What you could do is export the final height map and run that trough a program like Gaea to get realistic erosion texturing data. This would be quite more accurate than blending individual erosion data from each brush into one, as there would be some cases with quite a bit of interference
yeah ive now tried making something that is 505x505 and your brushes work perfect - soon as i move up to 1009x1009 or any bigger within the same project file, none of the brushes want to work anymore - suggestions?
Hello Jacob, Have you noticed that your Marketplace Brush Pack doesn't work in 5.2? It works perfectly in 5.1, but draggging blueprint brushes onto landscape is a no go. Can you check?
Okay I found it out it works... I tell you what to do: Go in Landscape Mode and under "Tool Settings" Drag and drop the blueprint brush from the content browser in there. Then klick on the landscape and it will appear. If you then want to use / add another brush do the same, drag it in the Blueprint Brush under Tool Settings. It will all work then. Took some time to figure that out.
also in UE5 when you cover changing the landscape resolution and landscape component sizes none of those values are changing for me when I adjust my sizing, it still stays at the original size
Hey man can you make a tutorial on how this setup works in terms of blueprints I want to make something similar but with different option and custom things. I tried to look into landmass and Landscape blueprint brush tutorial but there isn't a lot to go with. Or could you direct me to some nice resources so I can try and understand this system better. Thank you.
Hey I am adding the brush to the terrain and If try to add components to the landscape Like I want to add more tiles to the terrains, All the brushes goes missing. my whole terrain goes flat after that. how can we fix that?

@@JakobMenz hi, no i don't have find. Yes i was on landscape editing. When i drop the blueprint on landscape, tha arrows are faraway from the center. I have try everything on your help database. I will try to make for you a vidéo.

That‘s very strange, I never encountered such an issue and I have a GTX 1060. I’m afraid I don’t know how to help you further. It might be GPU driver related, so maybe try updating them
so more questions, using UE5 is there some kind of map restriction built into these? For instance I made a landscape that is 2017x2017 and your brushes work. But in the same level I made another landscape and made that one 1009x1009 and now none of the brushes work on that new landscape. But then I made a second 2017x2017 in the same level and now brushes work on that one? Why is it restricting the usage to only one map size variable?
In UE5 - In the outliner menu, Select the landscape section you want to sculpt (example peak_38_brush). In the details menu you will see under Materials section a box called Surface Mode. Tick this box. If you have been trying to sculpt before this - you may see big holes where you were working. I fixed this by going into Landscape Mode and selecting Sculpt brush and ticking the box "Use Clay Brush" - this way I could pull back up the huge hole I had created. I found this when trying to fix the landscape around a river body and the sides of the river were. Hope this helps :D
@@JakobMenz I just bought your brush pack, it looks really promising. Great stuff! I came across the same issue with being unable to sculpt on it manually BUT I found a simple solution. All you need to do is to right click on one of the "Edit Layers" (there is only one by default in your example map which is called "Layer") and right click that one and press "Create" which creates a new layer on top and on this layer you are able to paint over your brushes. It all works non destructively still. You can move your blueprints and everything is funtional, you just need to adjust the manual painting on top or delete your paint layer if you want to make changes. It actually all works very well.
