All color changing lipsticks/lipbalms are roughly the same color.
There is only a narrow windown healthy human PH settles in. The only difference is that your base skin tone shines through the sheer formula gibing the illusion of a different shade from someone else (color theory). These peoducts do NOT truly react to your PH to create a "custom" color.
What ACTUALLY causes the color is the chemical Red 27. It's clear while dry and intact, and turns pinkish when wet/comes in contact with a PH over 4 (all skin has a PH of over 4). It is reacting more to the water content of your skin, than anything else. All shades are essentially the same, because they all rely on the same chemical coloring to work, so there is almost no variation possible. They just LOOK different due to color theory.
Now, the non clear color changing items MAY have slight additional ingredients to slightly change the final color, as they dont have to be clear (like the jelly lipsticks), but im uncertain.
Congrats. You just paid through the nose for the same effect a drugstore color chnaging balm would give.
