One of the best handheld devices you can get today. I got the 512 GB model for $650. I also have a OneXPlayer that I love a little more than the Steam Deck and got that for about $950 on Indiegogo, an 1165G7, which plays ALL of my Steam Library, and more PS3 games better than the Steam Deck, and has a much better screen, but I enjoy the weight and the dual trackpads of the Steam Deck just a little bit more. Favorite games on Steam Deck: Grand Theft Auto V, Spider-Man Remastered, Fallout 4, Doom Eternal, Skyrim, Path of Exile, EmuDeck with 20,000+ retro games installed via EmulationStation, etc.

Yep, you're definitely the target audience. It's Valve's way of getting people onto Steam who never would have been around before, and it's definitely working.
I have been watching many reviews on the steam deck for the past few weeks and you my sir have swayed me to get one, all of the other videos on the steam deck are talking about specs and performance but not really how it fits into your life, i mean i love to know specs but i also love to know the use cases thanks for the great review!!!!!!🎉❤

Hopefully if there's a Steam Deck 2 Valve will have some kind of upgrade path, you can send in your deck to get it upgraded rather then outright buying a new one.
Also keep in mind even most games listed as unsupported or untested will work. And outside of emulation there's also things to make other launchers work like Epic Games, Origin, Uplay. So most games out there are playable in some way, though sometimes it takes some tweaking.
wow, didn't know that. So in steam if the game has a tag "unsupported" - it is still can work pretty good? btw love the process of manually setting up all this things. Can't wait to test more
@@filvaliulin From what I've seen from everyone else with the Deck most unsupported games do work yes. I assume they didn't work when Valve tagged them, but they get updated to work and Valve just can't keep up with re-checking games constantly. When you are travel often, think about getting the NREAL Air glasses, which are an incredible addition to the Deck, allowing to have a huge size screen in front of your eyes in any place. Have it myself, and love it.
woww! That's solid advice and a setup! I've been loving all the AR stuff, but never tested it. Will definitely check options. Why you chose NREAL over other glasses?

I am super interested in what people like this think of the Steam Deck. Not a PC gamer, and you don't really know what you're going into. The fact that you seemed to have such an excellent experience right out of the box is very good news for the continued success and adoption of the Deck. Exciting stuff!
It's definitely more of a system that requires some tinkering to get certain unsupported games working and emulation on the system which requires some time but if you have the time it is definitely worth it! Plus you can also get custom themes, custom boot screen animations, custom saturation levels, it's all very cool!
