They can beam clash in BT3 as well. The only one that can't clash is the barrage death beam (Perfect Cell & Final form Frieza)
@@bogdefth Only "Full Power" beams can clash in Tenkaichi 3. Some Energy Balls also clash, but moves where two or more are fired will never clash and are inferior to all beams.
Cooler being an absolute Menace like he should be always brings a smile to my face. Now, when will this man become cannon? It’s long overdue.
I believe he was mentioned in canon material, but we've never seen the man in said canon material. I'd personally be down for a Cooler mini-arc in Super. Depending on how they do it, I think it could be awesome.

BT1 & 2 are weird when it comes to unlocking characters. Some characters are unlocked by playing story, and some are unlocked via the Dragon Balls, but some, like Cooler, are only unlocked by performing Z-Fusion. The "Frieza's Older Brother" item that you got is one of the ingredients for fusing Cooler. Also, the stat items you've been getting allow you to equip them to your characters, which I think applies to Story Mode as well.

DOES HE EVEN KNOW THE MORE NUANCED MECHANICS? *HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO LOCK ON, WHAT?!* READ THE MANUAL, MY DUDE, I GUARAN-FUCKIN'-TEE YOU CAN FIND SCANS ONLINE AAAAGH"

Steed, you deserve a like from me for even playing this game in the first place, let alone saying the name right. Tenkaichi is easy to shit on when comparing it to BT3, but your playthrough has given me a new respect for this game that I had all but lost before.
It's all fun and games until some modder makes Goku vs Frieza, Cooler and King Cold all at once in 5 minutes time span when they all start with maximum Ki and increases HP by 300%
I was honestly confused as to why Rhyme and Doto were playing Budokai 1 but not Budokai Tenkaichi since that’s the game we’re hyped for lmao. At least someone is playing the right game lmao

This game was my introduction to DragonBall as a whole. I used to rage so hard trying to beat Kid Buu in story mode. Good times.
It isn’t as fast paced as BT3 but damn this actually looks tense and fun af you actually feel the power struggle like in the anime.
My favorite part was the Death Beam Kamehameha clash and Steed going nuts over it
Find it funny how Cooler was a brick wall, especially with how they used coolers voice lines for SMBZ. Maybe the creator also hated this boss fight too?

Idk if you'll see this tip but if you get locked off from someone hold either L1 or R1. You have to manually search for ki in this game, it doesn't work like it does in Tenkaichi 3. I might have some other ones but I need to refresh my memory, it's been so long since I've played this game
There's also a first person mode when locked off, I forgot about that
Fun fact, all beams can clash with each other. This means you can counter death beam and Dodon ray with say a super Kamehameha. Properties only got changed in the later installments.
Also, all clashes are won via rotating both analog sticks
One of the easiest fights full power charge then just spamming L2+🔲. Its the heavy attack i think its called hyper smash couldn't remember the name.

If I remember correctly you unlock some of these characters by some kind of item fusion. Frieza's Older Brother is one of those fusion items. 🤷♂️
i know these videos are probably recorded back to back but it's hilarious seeing steedoj struggle to lock on when there is a dedicated lock-on button in bt1 and bt2
You can use your z items and equip them to your characters for story mode so they can get stronger and opponents don't be sponge's
NOT in tenkaichi 1 they are installed and not changable
You should do a Tenkaichi 3 Mr. Satan Red Potara video. I looked up on youtube and couldn't find a single one. I'm curious how buffed he would become, and if you would have a hard time beating him with a single character at all.
As a seasoned Veteran of this game, i advise you to stay away from Ultimate Battle Mode.. for your own sake..if i had the means to make my own videos, i could show you how to play, but you'll figure it out. You're a Strong Boi

You know, Steed managing to clutch the Cooler fight despite being at 1 hp matches up perfectly with the cutscene afterwards, since it shows both Goku and Cooler collapsing after the battle. It's cool whenever things sync up like that.

The amount if speed my controller would have caught from me throwing my controller if i played this would be so immesurable it would be equivalent to a rocket leaving the atmopshere, the amount of walls that would have holes in them would collapse the building that i currently reside in if i played this game. Also you have the saiyan curse

You know if you attack them before the strike super hits you can knock them out of it.
He has God of Destruction Toppo's Ultimate Attack from Xv2(before it was nerfed) as a charged ki blast, but there's 2 of them instead of 1.
He's so OP and I love it.
You can toggle the map on and off with the select button. In BT2 & 3, select changes your camera angle.
I love bt3 but they got quite lazy in animating any sort of cutscenes compared to the older games
The way to beat this game is square square square square x, and repeat that till you got enough for a super. So yes, to cheese it
tenkaichi 1 is way more faitful to the anime from its art style and graphics ,also the way cooler gets hit in tenkaichi 1 is removed from the other games

I know this vid is old and you probably don’t play this game anymore but when they do a rush attack. You can counter it by doing a dragon dash towards them. (L2 + X on PS2)

Okay I am gonna give some old tips that I have many years ago from when I played Dragon Ball BT3 when I was a kid and prob isn't as good as I thought it was but pretty sure it is. Maybe was a raging blast 2 thing and got it mix up lol but anyways. Instead of twirling the joystick when doing clashes or beam clashes, flick it from left to right. From what I remember, not only was it easier, but much more effective, well to me at least. Anyone who can play them, give it a try, practice doing that too and see if it's better or worse.

Dude, have you not learned that with Rusk skills you can only counter it by using a rush of your own, burst dashing forward or blasting the person point blank. In BT1. you couldn't move around a blast, that's why you ate a Death Beam to the face while you used Kaioken Attack. In BT3 you can block it but it costs Ki.
I've just played this fight on my PCSX2 and gosh, I had forgotten how hard this was and how buffed Cooler is in this fight, it's ridiculous! I also had to replay the fight like 3 times to finally get it
Btw, you have to spin both analog sticks in this game, it's not like Tenkaichi 2 or 3.

Why do you keep using guard break against an opponent who isn't blocking? Gut punch into a charged attack is good enough. Also you can infinite combo while in your finisher state, just mash punch
You can use kaioken attack without going into kaioken
