This is one of the 3 cameras which are broadcasting live from a natural breeding colony near Hortobágy National Park in Hungary. We expect breeding of Red-footed Falcons here, but there is chance that Kestrels occupy it.
    👍 CONTRIBUTORS 👍
This live broadcast would not have been possible without Sándor Zsiros's hard work maintaining these nesting boxes. We thank Green Geo Kft for implementing the solar power supply for our cameras at this location.

    Previously in last seasons:
    🐦 SEASON 2021 🐦
    4 eggs were laid on 20/06, 22/06, 24/06, 26/06.
On 22/07 first chicks half-hatched and died next day
    Second chicks hatched on 24/07
At 23:30 on 31/07 a very unusual thing happened, a Little Owl killed the chick. This is absolutelly not typical behavior of the Little Owls. In the past there were several successful breeding at this location, we hope Little Owls will stop doing this next season.

*Standing up to his oldest sibling, Junior says HEY - You ate the most of that mouse and now it's my turn to eat!*

*That substrate is the wrong material - looks like hamster bedding and it easily sticks to flesh. I don't believe that the chicks digestive system can break down wood/cellulose.* *Normally, #89 granite gravel is the choice for substrate* We hope the chicks don't get compacted/constipated!
