These are the top of the line for them. They offer many more affordable options and have some really great tech packed inside the newer models in the lower lines too!
B&W speakers, go really well with Electrocompaniet and Macintosh electronics I believe. It’s all about system matching. There would be others as well that are great with B&W.
Have you ever seen a factory tour of B&W? They produce a lot of the 801s, and they aren't the only speakers in that price range. There are way more people who are able to afford these than one might think.
Nice!! Bet my Master restored Sansui au 717 ' would sound great with either of those ' if able to biamp I can use my sansui G8000 to drive the lows ! Rated at 125watts measured 172 watts @.05 the that's Vintage watts lol😅 thanks for the video
I know this is an older comment, but on the Nautilus every speaker is driven individually. And since they got 4 each, you need 4 Stereo or 8 Mono Amps to play them. The 801s are typical Biamp-able speakers, though with a max power rating of 1000 Watts haha
You know you guys have it all wrong first of all it doesn't matter how the speaker looks is how well it sounds and reproduces what it is you like to hear.. speakers are not jewelry loudspeakers are not jewelry they're made to reproduce as accurately as possible the music in which and the sounds of which you love most do not be fooled by the window dressing do yourself
Your opinion 😂 High end speakers are not only about the sound quality. They are about the statement. If you only care about sound only, that’s still fine. You don’t have to agree with what other people want. Everyone’s priority is different. Hope you appreciate brands’ efforts in making speakers to art pieces rather than just an electronic component.
@@AudioAdvice where can I hear these? Is this some sort of event? I would also like to hear the sound of the Zeppelin, Wedge, Formation bar plus bass. I got the PX8 and I am absolutely in love with them so I want to explore more B&W options.
@@AudioAdvice I think the blue ones as a sort of shell design are interesting. The drivers are similar to my Kappa 8s in terms of there are four and Im guessing thats a soft dome midrange? Those speakers...especially the Nautilus, may be the very best consumer speakers in the past 10 years. The Nautilus is something else.
They are super cool, thanks for sharing
I sold B&Ws for years. Nice but overpriced.

Stunning?
Why do I feel like you’re showing a little contempt for the nautilus compared to the 801d4🤭 A user from China
They are both awesome!

Fair enough. Many people care deeply about the aesthetic and design of speakers as well.

Never liked anything b& w. Even the headphones have a signature. They are built well though. It's an audiophile speaker.
Speakers are very personal. Thanks for watching
Yup and we all know no one who actually owns them .
😅

"Audio advice blue" 😂😂😂 yeah ok
Haha, close enough ;)
Grossly over priced!!
I bet they sound great, but man do they look hideous.
I agree entirely. They look cheap and I know they are extremely expensive.
@@demophys4883 The blue one looks like it should be in Jim Carrey’s Grinch, in the home of Whoville’s home theater enthusiast. 😂

That burl wood is hideous. They should have offered more modern finishes to go with times e.g carbon fibre!

i have heard better sound at a raves in the woods, with sound systems built by hippies and drug addicts
