This is all recycled New Age stuff. There is nothing original in any way with this lecture. This is not really about mental "toughness" at all.

Thank you sir , I have started the practise and I am feeling good gradually, relaxed and confident in my game though I haven't tried it in the game. But sir, the main queston that comes to my mind while preparing for the game against them is that what should I think to mentally prepare myself for the game? Is it that I should think and repeat it within myself that I am the best or simply relax? Or it that I should remember my moves and how I can beat my defence. You know just by thinking all this way before the game , I get mentally exhausted. So please just guide me that what should I think a day before my main game so that I can perform exceedingly well.

Hi sir , I am a basketball player and I have a big problem in my competetion. I got a group of people whom I am afraid of or I cant simply give my best when they are around , and when ever I play with them , I tend to forget my practise , my handles, and my shooting ,everything just gets out of control and after the game , I just regret it that I could have done that to beat them. They mentally suppress me . After the game I practise hard , shooting 200-300 balls a day just trying to imagine them in front of me and guarding me , but nothing is helping me out. I know deep beneath me that I can beat them easily but I cantfind a way out, soplease help me.

      Jasneet,
Thanks so much for your comment! I can see how much you desire to take charge of your game. As I read what you wrote it is apparent that you have, and continue to, given much power to others as opposed to taking charge and focusing on your own game. As soon as we give ‘power’ away to others, or our fear of them, we lose the ability to be present with what we are able to perform. With the amount of desire and the practice that you put into your game, you are in a position, if you practice the kind of skills in the video that I discuss, to take back your game. I would suggest taking your time going through the video again and concentrating on the sections that have to do with focused breathing and muscle relaxation. Practice EVERYDAY these skills until you become very good at getting yourself centered. Also, listen to and practice the skill of quieting the negative ‘chatter’ that goes on in your thinking during a game. You CAN become good at shutting off the voice that caused you to give others the kind of power that is interfering with you performing your best. You may email me at nick@drnicklazaris.com after reviewing the video if you are not sure how to put these skills into practice. I wish you the best! -You can do it.

      1) Decide to choose that you will perform to your true potential when those people are around. 2) Mentally rehearse being in the moment with those people there and the emotions you will experience while they are there watching you. Rehearse yourself overcoming this scenario by relying on your self talk to talk yourself through the steps needed to execute, calm your nerves by getting in control of your breathing and then mentally rehearse flawlessly executing all of the skills that you have mastered in practice. 3) Focus on what you can control in the moment, not what others think or what they are going to do. I hope this helps. For more info, go to my website www.optimalreadiness.com for more performance coaching.

You start small. With positive thoughts. If your goal is to quit porn for 90 days like most people do. Don't think 90, don't think 60, 30, 20, 10, 5, 3 days. Think one day. Then make it smaller. If you wake up and work and are busy until 5/6pm. You have to only manage 4-5 hours - if you make sure you get to bed at 10ishpm.
You say "I CAN manage 4 or 5 hours today". Thats it. Just try and get a TINY WIN. With that under your belt = success = a true success in reality - from that point no matter how small your goal is- it could be read for 10 minutes with no phone no distractions, it would be as small as sprint for 15 seconds on a treadmill - I Can.
Always always I Can. But you have to start REALLY SMALL.
Slowly you will start to believe You Can eventually Avoid no porn for 90 days for example because you've continuously set tiny goals - small goals - medium goals because you said I can and AFFIRMED it in REALITY. - once you do it in reality and believe it, it starts an upward momentum.

Why the hell do we always appeal to women by saying "i wanna become a better husband" doesn't the woman think that the problem might be her, why don't we teach them to say she needs to be a better wife. Why is this nonsense

Certainly what I shared applies to both men and women, as well as to any relationship. The key principle is to take charge of what is under your own control.

Nick Lazaris make sure you apply the example to women first, Go learn about family court, to see who is the trouble starter....women do abuse in the absense of physical ramifications to their behavior
