Funnily enough, Battlefront 2 saw an increase in players after the Battlefront Classic Collection released. I just can't seem to find many players on Australian servers 🤷♂️

Star Wars battlefront 2 isn't a weird game to play. I play it all the time now, and it's very fun online and it's kinda addictive.
Picked up the game again a couple months ago and can’t put it down. I usually hop on every night

The co-op missions are the best part of the game right now. You can find a game on PC quickly since it only requires four players.

I do the same quite regularly on PC with mods but, I dunno, I miss the online feeling, I miss how lively some of the Galactic Assault maps were, you just don't really get that in Coop or Instant Action.
Not sure I'll even be able to find players online on PC though.
You are fighting other people in co op but you don't see their name but that's the Heros you fight
@@Max09020Coop is only 4 players playing AI together. Even the enemy Heroes/Villains are AI in Coop. It is a lot of fun, though
@@Max09020 Idk if you're joking or not but the heroes are definitely AI. They're also buffed compared to how much health you'd have if you played them.
Battlefront II has been my go-to game since its release in 2017 lol. Like I’m literally stuck in the past playing a game that’s nearly 7 years old on a PS4. It still brings me joy though.

on xbox game alive asf, i joined ewok hunt with 20, blast with 16, galactic assault matches are always 40 or more

Only game mode I struggle to find is starship hero battle and I’m on Xbox too

As a veteran player I can confirm that most matches go hard, especially the supremacy modes. And it's also stupid fun kicking butt against the dumb inexperienced return players.

Man I miss your old videos so much. Please keep playing this game and making content, my favorite modes are supremacy and HvV though I understand co-op is more fun for more casual players. I also understand other things are probably better for content but I’d appreciate any bf2 stuff. Love your content man
Galactic assault and supremacy are really fun, heroes and villains can be frustrating if you’re getting paired up against a team that sticks together

Supremacy and galactic assault is quite active on Xbox from what I last played, however I only did the clone wars era when queuing for supremacy

As someone who's a bit of a vet, if you play HvV you'll almost always find a game quickly, same thing with co-op. But with HvV, you have to play well as a team. I've gotten my ass kicked by relatively nooby enemies because they worked as a team while my team would go in one on one. It's 4v4, not 1v1v1v1v1v1, you get the point. It's always easier to do well if you have someone to play with.
Most vets tend to be relatively toxic unfortunately, but sometimes if you ask, they may give you some tips. I always give tips when ppl ask how I do certain things. Back in the day I'd even invite people to a Party so I could help them in real time.
HvV is pretty much alive on PC, but there is so many veterans, lesser numbers of glitchers and cheaters and OH BOY some unfortunate players with 0 or 25 lvl to fed them. That was a truly sad story.
I started playing again and man the game is fun. Yes, sometimes you get into games that we have to wait for ppl. But, when you do, ppl stay in the lobby until the game is over. Give it a try and have fun

The Squad Star Wars mod (Cant remember the name) atm is the best starwars experience its casual but can also have a skill gap and is pretty active

You named the exactly the reason why I only play offline or koop. Just because I can’t find actual pvp games and if I do it just isn’t fun.
I’ve played this game on both Xbox One and series S and the graphics differences aren’t that noticeable and it still looks better than some new games
A lot of us get on co op and play everyday. That’s where the fun is. Plus it helps level your characters.

Honestly Modern battlefront 2 reminds me it was really strange to do the classic games instead of the modern ones.
SWBF2 > Helldivers 2… Ppl hate on it because mistakes they mostly fixed… For hero combat that’s easy to learn and difficult to master... the star bazar’s duel tips videos are lit
So sad to see battlefront 2 go down. I've grown up reading about it and watching bombastic videos, and always dreaming that someday, someday I would buy a console to play the great game and just chill out with other people who loved star wars.

I’m considered a veteran of this game, but I’ve haven’t been playing it for a while. I think it’s because of Jedi Survivor.
This is why I hate games that are purely multiplayer or have "forced" PVP, if no one is actively playing the game isn't really much of a game anymore..
if a game has multiplayer but is mainly co-op focused, then usually players will come back and stick around, look at Warframe, PVP in that game is dead... no one touches it.
but the PvE stuff everyone's in on it, some such as my self go solo but its still being actively played.CS-GO and TF2 are doing something right since they're still being played non stop despite being mainly pvp.

When i first played it like two years ago i was in a match with one veteran who actually talks to my bro on discord and even talked to him before i played the match. Anyways the veteran decimated everyone 😅
I converted my Bing points into Microsoft credit (or whatever it’s called and) bought the full edition which was on sale for 5 dollars and when I’m not queueing into an empty map, I’m getting clapped by Max levels.
Still tho, it’s fun and it brings back memories of the OG battlefront 2.
Have you heard of kyber private servers? They're about to release version 2.0, in short they are private servers that you can play with mods with other people, and they're adding proximity chat too. It's only on PC, but I think it is an incredible thing that could revitalize the game.
Also I totally love co op, that's the most fun in my opinion, plus populates pretty quick in this time and age where not many people are playing.
Kyber was alive until the official servers got fixed and I doubt it’s ever coming back

In US East (Playstation) if I click the quickmatch button it puts me in starfighter assault. Sometimes when I'm trying to quickly click on the HvV mode I accidentally click on Hero Starfighters. And guess what, it finds me a server immediately. Showdown, HvV, Supremacy, Galactic Assault, and Blast are always popular too.
The American servers for PlayStation don’t have any problems finding games. The only veterans with a lot experience hang out in heroes vs villains, but you still only have trouble finding an Ewok hunt game loo
I'm on Xbox so I'm not familiar with the Playstation lobbies, but I have no problem with loading into games.

If u have pc and download some mods its a nice change even if ur playing co-op as well. There are some pretty cool skins you can download, that would be cool if you made a video with some mods playing some bf2. Love the video 🙌

I play hero showdown and ewok hunt on ps5 almost every night and I still manage to have fun. Goated game.

I think it’s just a region thing because I’m from the uk and can find matches and pretty much everything I mainly do hvv the only mode I think is completely dead is hero starfighters but I’ve never been a fan of starfighters modes anyway it’s crazy to see how this game launched to how it ended I’m currently on 3704 hours and still have a blast
2 bucks for this much Star Wars content was hard to pass up
I play PS4 nearly every day. Start off with a half lobby but it’s full by phase 2. From Melbourne but have to play US east and west or German servers tho.
Worth noting that Kyber V2 (custom online servers with mod support) is almost ready! A closed beta test is happening within the next 2 weeks.
It’s still alive, you can still get a great full lobby on Xbox in the afternoon/ evening

Hey Andrew, in your more recent Battlefront 2 videos, i’ve been noticing that you have difficulties in matchmaking. I think it might be the servers that you choose to play in as on my end, especially in the evening Europe time, I always get matches in all modes almost instantly. Just have a look at those servers. I play in the Germany one.

I run bf2 all the time on my series x and never an issue for full lobbies of supremacy, galactic assault, hero etc
Hero showdown needed to be 1v1 to prevent the waits but no point in crying now :(
You should give Movie battles 2 a try, its pretty hard but really fun

I play ps5 I can find games perfectly fine. Yes the game is filled with veteran that’ll destroy you but it’s currently got a lot of returning players/new player that have now idea how to play.

I know people talk about not getting a battle front 3, but to me battle front 2 is in the hard place of being a really good game and staying a good game or getting a new one that isn't that good and then everyone abandons battle front 2, which is still the better game. I'm honestly perfectly content with battle front 2, other than lack of new stuff, but honestly that doesn't really bother me.

yeah i recently booted up the game and had a blast again its a great game its a shame that the battle front collection is so damn bad like all they had to do was cross-play and cross-progression with no region lock tons of servers / let us host our own servers and mod support for PC and upscaled textures etc if they've done that then it could have united everyone on battlefront 1-2 (2004 - 2005) in one nice package but they some how messed up a already finished game?
