Another great video. Here's an idea...Prime Officer Slot...adds 1 extra below deck officer slot to every ship! I mean, another Bridge officer slot would be awesome but I am sure the programming for that would not go smoothly so I will aim a little lower.
Syndicate XP feels very devalued with the extra syndicate XP sources available in the game now. If you have a mantis you are going to get much much more XP from that than from syndicate XP, and the bajoran loop also added another source.
100% agree that there are more sources for the XP now. Main reason this is my choice is because of the literal log-on, press-button to get value out of it every day. If you're too busy to do events, grind hostiles, do your dailies, whatever - as long as you find the time to hop on and check your shield and try to keep your refineries, build and research slots moving forward you can still leverage the benefits of the purchase. I don't believe there's any other prime like it that you will get value out of for just logging on and pressing a button.
@@Secure_Play I agree that it is very much low effort to exploit, but if you are going to throw $100 at the game for a prime, I would hope that it is because you have a high engagement rate, so I'd rather something that gives a bigger benefit, even if it takes more time to take advantage.
My Idea for Scopley is Prime Helps. Not to increase the amount of Helps that one press of the help button gives, but increase the factor of time a help takes away by X? This might a good Christmas promotion prime since it celebrates giving, and the prime would be more for your alliance than you.
Thanks Dale! Sinep has a great point there. Mine is probably become less and less important as there become more ways to source syndicate xp. But, since I like to be super-lazy when possible so I can focus on the fun, it's still my favorite 😂 Have you checked out our latest video ranking all the primes and/or Rev Deuce's as well yet? Had a blast debating those with him and Sin, lol 😅
Some great options. The Mantis really devalues the Prime Syndicate though. I've avoided tiering my Mantis up just because of the issues with apex hostiles and the grind, but still can get 3300 extra syndicate xp per day, substantially more than double my daily amount of 400. For me the prime borg rewards are still the best. Unlike a lot of top tier options this one only costs $50, and while it doesn't scale with ops level, faction credits and independent credits are always necessary. If you consider a t9 vidar refinery with max assimilated credit yield research and an independent credit focused approach (pulling indy plus all 3 faction credits for 3 days, skipping one faction every 4th day), this prime yields a bonus of 945 credits total per day (I'm only counting its effect, not the base credits the refinery provides). By comparison, a lvl5 Prime Faction Tribute costs $500 and provides 800 credits per day. Now, the tribute ones aren't making anyone's top prime list, and you could get 1200 daily credits by just purchasing lvl1 of each faction for 300 instead of 500 dollars instead, but they are currently the 2nd best way through prime research to increase your faction credit income, which to me shows just how valuable the prime borg rewards are.
Great comment @Derek Bowen. Agree that the value of Prime Syndicate is on the decline for many players. Part of the reason it ranks so high for me, even still, is that I've taken a more laid-back approach to the game and refuse to play it for 3-4 hours a day to finish everything currently available and stay competitive. If Scopely isn't going to take meaningful strides to reduce screen time then I have to do it myself since 9 hours of my day job, plus 3 hours of gameplay, plus 6 hours of sleep only leaves me with another 6 hours to spend time doing anything else - spending time with the family, creating content for the channel, occasionally napping since I'll admit the usual 6 hours of sleep doesn't really cut it long-term for me, and I might go outside again one day... Lol, point is that in the interest of being "lazy" you can double your Prime Syndicate rate every day with the press of a button, ignore the mantis entirely and not feel compelled to go farm for 45 minutes a day there (on average is what I'm hearing from Mantis owners), focus on dailies, events and maybe piddle around with farming up something or PvPing for fun before being off for the day. You won't progress as fast as other people, but honestly, most people are so busy pushing "progression" they're either not enjoying the game much at all or they're gaining Ops levels too quickly to get to the next big thing in the game and neglecting their ships, their officers, their research, their buildings - something is taking the hit and its going to make things that much more difficult going forward. But I will definitely concede that if a player is totally okay with and enjoys the daily mantis grind to keep syndicate at the edge of it's possible progression than Prime Syndicate XP has very little value to them. And at half the cost and a very long-term usefulness you're definitely correct: for the cost Borg Prime Rewards can't be beat. There's no other $50 close to what you'll get for it and it beats most of the $100 primes as well.
@@Secure_Play I agree, the grind on the Mantis is something awful, and I share a lot of your sentiments on the current state of the game screen time, I just haven't figured out how to change my approach to the game yet (because trying to keep up is not sustainable). There is a lot to be said for the convenience of the prime syndicate xp.
100%, things change in the game though so definitely check out what some of the other content creators and people in your alliance recommend as well because I've been known to be wrong before and don't want to mislead anybody - especially when they're choosing to support the game!
No shot Prime Syndicate XP is that valuable. Mantis $50+BP and $50 for prime actian harvester and you can double pull syndicate xp every day from the mantis refinery. I am Syndicate lvl 20 and have never bought a syndicate xp pack (just picked some with Multiphasics but not that much). Prime Borg Rewards, Prime Stella and the officer stat boosts are the best for me.
I would not undervalue the ability to get faction credits. It appears I'll need about 500K Romulan credits to buy the Pilum and then there's the extra credits I'll need for the associated cloak. As such, I'm hustling every day to gather as many Romulan credits as I can prior to hitting 46. At 43, I have my Valdore at T5 and it can cloak, but I'm not buyin the Vorta Vor with either Away Team or Faction credits now because I plan to use both for the Pilum. Hence, I'm not sure why you would think the faction credits are less effective as we level up.
Not less effective at all my friend, but the doubling is static to the max tier of the Vi'Dar so it will only ever be 600 credits a day - which is still a lot in the 40s. It's not that Borg Rewards isn't still useful and even very much so but that the impact, when credits are more free-flowing begins to erode a bit from when it is first available for purchase and many player who pick this up immediately when it presents in the store won't be able to use it effectively until or unless they've maxed out their Vi'Dar. This is one of the few instances where a prime might be presented too early for most players to be very beneficial (based on the Ops level you can purchase this) whereas many primes aren't available until long after they would have been most helpful. Great comment and excellent point @Daniel Van Der Werken
Prime officers is probably my no one prime, worth scrapping my mayflower/d3 for! Not spending on the game anymore since invariably there is always another cash grab next week
Prime Officers is awesome for sure and has pretty much infinite longevity. I'd put Prime Survival skills ahead of it from a purchase standpoint since they do the same thing but it would take forever - I don't think its actually possible currently - free to play to pick it up. Prime Officer as you said only requires scrapping a level 26 ship to pick up which is great. I, unfortunately, picked up Prime Officers and a month or two later Prime Survival Skills was released so I kicked myself pretty hard on the money that was effectively "wasted" since I picked up all the Primes I could for free after scrapping not long after 😅
Might be good info to tell you that Prime Syndicate XP at higher Ops aint worth it. I get 6000xp / day, and if i bought this Prime now (Ops57) i would get 7200xp / day. Because they extra 100% the prime gives is based on "base" .
Raiding is borked for L40+ - With Prime Swarm Refinery at L41 I get 1.7B Par (600K Actual, 1.1B tokens) per day from the Frank A portion of prime swarm refinery. On a great base, I can get like 30M par per hit (T7 Amalgam). So it takes 53 hits on a BIG base to earn as much as I get on a single day click in the morning. Big bases, I'm working my way in with other alliance members.... so like 40+ minutes of raiding to get to a single click in the morning. Why raid?
"Big bases" have no less than 1 trillion resources, and probably closer to 5 trillion. A maxed Amalgam (without B'Etor or assimilated) gets 1 billion per pull on a 1 trillion base. That's a lot of resources. Btw I'm a 47 who does a lot of raiding, and I have almost 34 trillion resources.

I've got Borg prime but then its one of the ones you can in theory get for free, so was worth it for me.
Prime officers is probably my no one prime, worth scrapping my mayflower/d3 for! Not spending on the game anymore since invariably there is always another cash grab next week

I want a prime for being harder to detect while cloaked, i wanna be a menace on a server with some restrictive roe.
Prime bug fixes would be good
