Scrapping a Box Mod for Modules is cool, but scrapping them to learn the Plan seems counterproductive to me. Especially with how hard it is to get those 4th star effects in the first place. If we have a roughly 1/100 chance to learn a plan from scrapping, why would we scrap 100 of any given effect that we want? I don’t think any of us are ever going to use more than 20 of any given effect. Then we would just sell the other 80. Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but it doesn’t seem right. Awesome if we have a better chance to learn the 4th star effects from scrapping the weapons and armor though.
It is situational at best for sure. If you don’t know Ghoul Slayer and you are like me with over 50 of them, scrapping them off to learn it is a fine completionist option. For the 4th stars, it is a toss up, I mean I would scrap all of my Runner’s but then again, with a simple change Runners could be awesome and I may not learn it. It would also cost 120 modules, 600 per set, to make it afterwards while the 11 I have now cost me nothing but space. Then, if I only have 3 Rangers but I want 5, I doubt scrapping those 3 are going to pay off. Once 4th stars are as common as 1/2/3 then I can see scrapping them for the heck of it, scrapping now though seems to be a bad idea.
Like Ji said it is totally situational and there are some users that get more of the four star box mods but I think this will be a good incentive instead of hanging onto the legendary box mods that we don't need and getting modules for them. Then if you get a lot of something you don't have or find it in a vendor for a decent price then you can take the chance.
I agree with all points. I never bothered to get the recipes for the various serums, just didn’t really think about that mechanic at all. Then I started to farm the Raids and found myself at max caps constantly, so I put in the effort to get 2 recipes per run out there, now I know all but a couple. Then I went to the mule and realized that I had a tremendous amount of weight just sitting there doing nothing and now I have 1k of each stable flux (cause,…. Raids) so I just put everything in a donation box. Freed up a bunch of weight and if I need a serum I will just make it. I think this is the same way that box mods will go. I am over 3.5k legendary modules now but I assume that this would eventually become the norm to have 5k+ as people get tapped out on what they can make. At that point, when resources seem stacked deep, scrapping things and making them later is a perfect option. So, I like the additional but it is like getting car keys on your 14th birthday, gonna be a bit before it is useful.
Crane's treasure and Launching a Nuke are both bugged for me. Tried solo, on teams, in a private server you name it I have tried it all. Crane's treasure won't let me through the second door, and when launching a nuke the second set of red security mesh never opens so I can destroy the mainframe. Now we won't be able to farm EN0 for needed Vulcan armor (only need a right arm still after 50+runs). I really enjoyed coming back to the game after a 2 year hiatus, but now I see Todd Howard is still the biggest joke to ever produce a game. I've seen dog turds less buggy than his games.
@eyespyyourspy1328 Nothing but the truth, I canceled my Fallout 1st after I couldn't get past "The ol' Western shuffle", I can't believe they still won't fix simple bugs that can literally affect your whole playthrough, after almost 7 years. 😒
@@Fargassier Mhmmmm, "The Ol' Western Shuffle" I've tried everything I've seen on Reddit, UA-cam, Etc but it never works. 😒 I've played this damn quest like 20 times already...
@@JCx2021 Yeah unfortunately the raider side of that questline is filled with bugs throughout it and hopefully they can fix it. It took me a few tries to get it done as well
Love the changes but I hope Bethesda sees this we need a buff to modules for events/nukes to incentivize doing more than just raids and please add a small drop chance to drop 4 stars from daily ops, expos, events, and nuke bosses
@ a screen cap of hydraskillz (apparently he’s one of the folks in charge of combat design or balance I think? 🤔) was shared to me in the Market76 discord in the spoilers tab a while ago. I couldn’t find Hydra saying this in the actual BGS discord so who knows 🤷♂️ But there’s hope that it’ll be the 50 cal and the lmg. Hydra was the driving force behind the Gatling plasma overhaul too.
I crafted some Ultracite power armour for a noob who just hit level 50 and he tried to by me with a crap ton of mods (1,2 and 3 stars) I was like "no!! Dude.... I can't in all good faith take those off you, you'll be able to scrap them soon. But if you need space in your stash I'd recommend selling a few, I sell 1 stars for 500 caps like hot cakes. 2 stars for 1200 and stars 3k-5k depending. All seel well) He was thankful the honesty I set him up with some foods, ammo, and a load of my known plans and he left. Some players are very naive bless them. 😂
I am glad you were honest with them and players will remember that about the community as they grow. The great thing is players are trying to help each other and glad you are trying to help out in the wasteland.
This should just be some fixes and patches. I don't see it being anything more than that. I know some think it might be the new season but I can't see that being a thing.
@@Fargassier That would be insanely useful, and a (finally) well needed change. Quad Double Barrel, explosive, faster reloads, hair trigger receiver, Pinpointers,…. and now we throw in 36% armor penetration and an additional 9% to stagger targets (which may be per pellet)? This is some love I can get behind.
As a person who uses Sentinel and Cavaliers from time to time I don't really see this being an issue. This is a live service game where things have to be balanced.
@@AlishaWolfe Yeah I am sure a lot of folks will be testing that method. I don't cover the exploit/glitch sort of stuff on the channel but like I always say, "I don't care what you do in your game because you paid for it. So do what you do 🤘"
Have had no interest in the updates since skyline valley and I have no interest in the Ghoul update. Plus going away to work earlier this year so will miss the updates launch. Hope ever one enjoys it went it comes. Thank you for the video.
They need to give whoever thought of some of these features a raise 😂
Can confirm it was a great decision by the team
we honestly need more stash box space, trying to move stuff from main player to mules suck. ive lost alot of stuff
I would love to have more stash space

@ I agree. For a completionist, this is an awesome mechanic. For players that need and intend to utilize the effects, not so much.

You don’t need to do it. It’s an option. More options are always better than less.
I would be excited for this update, but I can't even progress the main questline due to a bug. 🙄 Bethesda needs to lock in and fix their damn game.

I am excited to see the four star enemies make their way into Appalachia 🤘
i feel like nuked events should be 8-10 modules and the others should get an increase of 2-3 modules
Thank you for the updated ! Great video!! I can’t wait til this update comes out😭😭 have a great day
I am super excited for the update and appreciate you bud 🤘
Hopefully they fix cap press
Hopefully the update on Tuesday can help that out 🤘
Bethesda: "We don't talk about Fallout: Tactics"
I have never played Tactics but I have watched gameplay of it before.
We need the crafting perks like gun nut should be from 5 to 3
That would be a nice update too
One of the really nice dev members on the Bethesda discord mentioned they’re interested in new mods for a ballistic heavy that’s lacking mods.🤞
I missed that on the discord and will have to look for it 🤘

Any word on what is happening Tuesday during the extended maintenance.?

Introducing new bugs!!
we gonna need a new set of armor for ghouls just because u cant use most sets now with ghouls
What you mean bud?
So does this mean that Tank Killer now works for Shotguns?
That is what it is looking like

Go Gators
Go Gators 🐊 Not many folks realize I am a Florida fan but then they realize and the color scheme of the channel makes more sense 🤘
Time to stockpile mod boxes
That is what I will be doing for sure.
I just opened all of my perk pack cause I was tired of the pop up and wanted to see the dad jokes. lol
The dad jokes are great for dang sure 🤘
And anywhere I play this is still crashes
Keep up the good work gassy❤
Hopefully the update on Tuesday can help that out 🤘
Lets see what new bugs we get this time around lol.
There will be something or a few somethings that will not work as intended for sure. That is a given in updates for sure.
Heckin nice
I know right I am so excited
That 60% nerf on cent and cav is just...horseshit. They just can't fix something without nerfing it. I don't fucking get it.
As a person who uses Sentinel and Cavaliers from time to time I don't really see this being an issue. This is a live service game where things have to be balanced.
@Fargassier they were already balanced. The percentage chance to work was the balance fix. And that was a significantly less drastic nerf than this.
So, nocturnal mods have value now. 😂
That they do 🤘
I can still kill the first boss alone with my auto axe rank 2031 😂 patched? It’s not 🤦🏻♀️
There hasn't been an update since the release but there is an update coming on Tuesday.
