As a child of the 80s I loved this movie too! Does anyone else think that Jennifer Beals became even more beautiful with time!?

Need to go back and view again , however thinking of her dancing reminded me of an interview I saw a life time ago with Laurel Holloman said when they danced together, especially in that contest she never wanted it to end.

@@kamilasoares5017 gosh I don’t have a record of it, I love listening to actors talk about their roles and at one time there where a whole lot of de cuss ions from the cast of the L word available. Later today I will see if I banfind that particular conversation

Jennifer Beals ages like a fine wine. I can see why you're obsessed with her.

    3:35 "I don't love those three things"
It's psychotic that youd even emphasize this was a naturally occurring romance, but present it as a negative. Smh. Is any man at best interchangeable with a woman?
He also didn't break boundaries so much as dismantle them. It's a positive trait to be persuasive obviously, that being said, I acknowledge this wasn't at all the pinnacle of romance, though it wasn't supposed to be.

I saw Flashdance when I was young. When you said that she was boyfriend material, I got a flashback to her welding. As a former dancer, this film has always been special to me.

I just watched the film for the first time. Personally, I think it would have been a better film if Alex and Jeanie were just a couple rather than them both having boyfriends. Especially as Alex is dating her boss who is twice her age and Jeanie is dating a racist stand up comedian (most of his jokes are at the expense of Polish people).

This is the one exception for me. Not even Jennifer can make me like that film. Sorry.

I’m a great grandma and I love this movie, too. I love Jennifer Beals. She’s a hometown girl who made it big on and off screen. She is a social activist and a very dynamic woman.
I, too love her hair and what she does with it. I noticed in L Word someone was always touching her hair in her romantic scenes, especially Laurel Holloman. Now that I now she’s a well known artist I understand the role of texture as part of the creative process. It must have extended to her creative expression as an actress as well. JB’s locks are a work of art themselves 😊
