I had heard the wonderful performance of Ustad Balekhan, father of ustad Rafikhan in Shivamogga and also the performance of two brothers Rafikhan and Shafikhan.It is proud to say that they are kannadigas from Dharwad.

Dipankar Koley ji, the Sitar in this performance is by Harun Sitarmaker from Miraj. But currently guruji uses a Sitar made by Barun Roy, Kolkata for his performances.

For a while I thought I was listening to Pt.Ravi Shankar's rendition of Desh Raag. Ustad Rafique Khan(with my limited knowledge) is a true successor of him. God bless him with long years on Sitar.
