This episode has taken my breath away. Sir, you have outdone yourself After your last captivating presentation on Smt. Hirabai Barodekar, it was almost unimaginable that pretty soon your next presentation will surpass even that. But it has happened. Congratulations for an exceptional presentation. I watched this clip literally spellbound. The subject, the matter, your powerful narration, and the background scores all have culminated into an unparalleled effort. The storyline of the early life of Ustad Allauddin Khan Saheb has left me in total awe . I dare not say anything about Khan Saheb's musical prowess "chhota munh, badi baat," but it seems to all fall in place... A boy, who, at such an early age, was so devoted to music to have taken extraordinary risks, it is no surprise that he was destined to grow up to make an exceptional place for himself, and forever leave a musical legacy behind in his works as well as those of his many protégé. One striking thing is the excptional melody in his compositions. The scores you have used as samples are tantalizing enough to leave the listeners to want even more. I already sampled a few, and added them to my Playlist for listening pleasure. It goes without saying that one "painful" aspect of this presentation is that most of us will have to eagerly await the second half. 🥰 Thank you for your dedicated efforts in bringing these to us. They are beyond informative and entertaining. They have enriched my life more than words can express. 🙏
Thank you very much for such a nice and encouraging response. You will be able to hear the second part of this story very soon either today or tomorrow. For the past few weeks, my spirits have been breaking down seeing the less than expected viewership and response from viewers. Whereas in research, fieldwork and meticulous study and analysis, I engage wholeheartedly..
Thank you, Naushad Bhai, for your feedback. What I expressed is only a fraction of what we all feel. Yet, I earnestly hope that it has resonated with others just as much as it did with you. You comment means a great deal to me. 🙏
My father was the deciple of Sri Jyotin Bhattacharya, the secretary of Ustad Allauddin Khan. I grew up listening a lot about Ustad Allauddin Khan and his music. After advent of internet, I tried to learn about him more and listened to most you tube channels about him. I was little disinterested initially thinking that I will have to listen to the same oft-repeated stories once again but your presentation was completely different. You presented a completely novel aspect of him in a completely different angle. That's why I like your channel. You do not copy others but make your own research and take great pains to do it beautifully. Your presentation has your own stamp. Kudos to you!
Thank you very much A Mitra Sahab, that you listened to this DASTAN and gave your feedback. You must have felt that I place a lot of emphasis on new research to present a story, perhaps that is why we are able to present something different from the already popular stories.
Namaste. I am learning bansuri in the Maihar Gharana, may I get in touch with you to listen you to recount memories of Baba. I have read Jyotinji's book.
Sir i am very very grateful to you for such a nice video. Sir i wish to see the photo of the great human being who is taking great efforts to preserve our immortal art, music and culture of Bharat varsh.
