Disclaimer, the man can vacation wherever he wants and every kid I have ever seen at one of these things has absolutely loved it. That said, they are a bad company who have sued their own workers during a strike for dumb reasons, don't address complaints of abuse (both staff and animals), and who charge a wild amount for canned soup, frozen bread, and cheap chicken that is half saline-solution. The show is the reason most people walk away with good memories, and they don't give a crap about those workers.
Medieval Times is awesome!! I went there with my Marine unit after deployment. We started chanting “red knight! Red knight! Red knight!” So loud that they paused the show and he stepped forward and saluted us with his javelin. It was the best.

Dinner and a joust is the most underground hot thing at the moment if you don't know you're missing out. The Pirate Theme one too is gaining the same vibes. I heard they're going to have adult themed one with comic's & comedy more appropriate for adults and a full mixology drink bar thing. Who will cater? Different Restaurants in Orange County including a few nights of different OC Celebratred Food Trucks WOW
Makes me think of the scene from Cable Guy with Jim Carey... looked like good food, and the half chicken is a solid protein for an omad anytime! I've been to one of these type shows before, and they did the whole Cornish game hens. Looked like a great time! 👍
Wow! - I had no idea this place was still in business. I think the last time I was there was in the 90's. A great time for the kids and something different.
Only been a couple of times but it is such an awesome experience! Great showmanship and the food is surprising really good! Haven't gone in almost a decade myself and this makes me really want to go again
I can't count how many times I've been the food is always really good I was at the one in Chicago year ago and the food was really good you don't know what you are talking about
If you haven’t been, you must go! Really fun place for the kids. By the way, the chicken and the potato on the side really are some of the best food I’ve had at a dinner theater. No kidding
Took my wife back in February for a anniversary date night. We absolutely loved it. I waited 4 years to go because I always thought everything was going to suck. But it definitely was worth the price
oh my gosh I miss Medieval Times! I had that same dinner but with a different dessert (we had apple turnover). That chicken is so good! No part is dry, every part is so flavorful.
My wife and I took our son a few years back for his birthday. Had a great time and a great meal. If you have a chance to do it, do it. So much fun and such a great show
You’ve got to come to Tallahassee for Dine in the Dark. It is to raise awareness for blindness by letting people of full sight experience eating a meal as if they are totally blind.
Went to Medieval Times in the Dallas area and it was awesome!!! Took the whole family, and the kids loved it. Food was good, just be prepared for the gift shop prices 😅
I went. Great time. Garlic bread was okay, soup was good, chicken was surprisingly great, potato was undercooked, corn was standard, eclair straight up sucked
I have sooo many good memories at the Medieval times in Orlando great food fun atmosphere its an awesome place to take your family and create some cheesy but long lasting memories
There are maybe 2 or 3 memories when I went to the one in Buena Park, CA as a kid. Late 90s to really early 2000s. There was a wizard casting spells, a falconer, along with the knights jousting and fighting. Pretty entertaining. They don’t have that anymore. The jousting and the choreographed fights are still entertaining.
This reminds me of the one I went to in Disney Paris, it was a wild west show but it started with chili con carne, then for main was ribs, sausages, beens, corn on the cob and roast potatoes, then for dessert it was apple crumble with hint of cinnamon with vanilla ice cream (since with it being themed to wild west, that was the ONLY flavor they had lol) and drinks, we could either have beer or soda.
I remember going when I was in 6th grade I had a gold cup that I cherished so I cleaned it every time I was done using it so nothing builded up with inside the cup and it broke with my hand still inside and it cut my pinky deeply. I handled it well 😅
I went to the one in Orlando with my high school marching band in my senior year of high school. I was put in the yellow section, which was perfect as our school colors were black and golden yellow. The yellow knight won, if memory serves me well.
Broooooo, this brought back a core memory for me! I went here for a middle school field trip. I remember the food was delicious and we were on the Red Knights team. We won!😂
Also you mentioned about dinner show theaters while temporarily Capone's is shut down but they're trying to find another place for them because I have personal access to friends and my old boss who told me about this information so FYI Capone's is good once you get back over here and when they open back too
I went to medieval times back in 96 and had an absolute blast. It was right around the time Jim Carrey was making the Cable Guy and it was a great show took my mother she loved it.
I have a fond memory of this place when i worked at a client in Maryland. The service was excellent and the food definitely hit the spot. Complimented with a few pints of ale, it made for a good happy hour dinner. Around this time we were all huge fans of lord of the rings and this just added to the theme.
I remember when they used to give you a bowl of murky water.. but too many people kept drinking it thinking it was soup. It’s just to wash your hands before you eat xP
Places like this can get away with less than stellar looking food because you don't go there for the food, you go there for the experience. I felt the same way about Dick's Last Resort, the food is just okay, but the experience is next level. It just so happens that Medieval Times also has decent food, although I wouldn't call it spectacular when compared to a lot of known sit-in restaurants. But when compared to other novelty sit in restaurants that provide you with a show or other means of entertainment, Medieval Times has to be one of the best, right up there with Dave & Busters and I'm sure Casa Bonita is going to end up exactly the same way once Matt and Tre are done with it! Usually, this kind of experience is reserved for theme parks or children's entertainment, like Chuck-E-Cheese.
My uncle used to work as food prep for Medieval Times. Minimum wage but the checks were ALWAYS on time, and the chicken he brought to family gatherings was awesome
That tomato basil soup they serve is dynamite! A friend and I went with a few of our group a few years ago, and this dude that absolutely hates anything tomato couldn't get enough.
Went to one for my 21st birthday and they were doing a late night show, so it was a more adult crowd.. safe to say I drank lots and was pretty vocal about my boy “Blue knight” he even gave me a flower 🤣💙
I forgot this place was still around. Last time I heard about them was when the workers were struggling to unionize for better working conditions.
